I hate that as one thing is fixed something else (that should be better) is not. Back to looking for a Pam as I dont plan on spending another $200 or so to mod on top of theb{am (which will likely not be cheap).

Thanks, I being relatively new, pride myself to be in the 'intelligent' pack. I definately think its more of idiotic versus intelligent - realising what our hobby entails. Its a selfish versus smart/understanding attitude.

This is what I was also thinking. It would be great if the North Pole had these same specs as it is still in production. Then I finally will be TEMPTED to get my first set of Pams (as flaws which held me back would be resolved). And same question on the Asian 7750, how is the durability ect versus a swiss.

Thanks Joe. Just so others know, its Joe that I plan on having mod further my MBW. I had already contacted him about it (and infact was sure on that that I ordered the CLARK superdome too), however, that was before all this with money restrictions, greed for more watches ect. I appreciate his feedback and that of all who replied. With that I have decided to keep the MBW. hold of further mods(for the moment) and maybe get a HBB a little later. I know one thing, the MBW is a classic. Thanks all. Finally .

Good points, personally, I want to keep the MBW and maybe foregoing any further mods might be the best (with cost of parts, thinking will save close enough for a HBB). I never, thought about it until you said that once trying actually something one would have a better idea; I like the MBW that it makes me want to mod away. However, i guess, the eventual cost-return on investment-pleasure issue came up. Its interesting, as I think this is something we may all wrestle with and only ones own 'feelings/tastes' can finally decide. kruzer, actually I dont really mind either sizes. Would be easier though if I had a 'manly' wrist .

I am confused . Since I can only spend so much, I have to make a hard decision. Currently I have a MBW vintage DSRD that has been modded to some degree: genuine vintage crown/tube swiss made bezel insert holes drilled for spring bars vintage bracelet with hollow links paint removed from case-back new improved 'Clark' superdome crystal ordered I was planning on sending the watch (and superdome) to get futher modded (dials, pearl insert ect), but with this all said and done, I could instead sell the watch (and save the extra I was going to spend on the further mods) and buy the HBB and the Roger Dubuis rep (or some other cool $300 or so rep). These two are also favorites. Now with the restriction of funds (no I cant have it all) what would you guys do/suggest? Why? appreciate your input.Thanks.

I have been quiet for awhile, but, come on everyone! Get off TKK back! you want to organise one then do so on your own. So far, it looks like zippo, no go. I only hear people complaining, whining and crap at TKK and Pugs. Get a life, and leave the bitching to the kids. TKK has gone farther than I would have, frankly, in spelling out his job/the costs, and has made the ONLY offer for a group buy that have concrete details. YOu want in? Agreed, like ANY business, when attaching your name to a product and you are the contact/face/seller (ect...) the buck stops there. It has to, like any other business. We do not know the chinese manufacturers and are not told the names of them (so that we do not baypass the 'sellers' and get direct). this is done so that consumers can only deal with these sellers. therefore, they have to also take the burden of responsibility of what they claim.

I want to say that this is one of the most helpful threads for someone, like me, that is looking for the first time into a Pan. Thanks again.

Yeah...I would like an explanation/clarification on that, are you saying these are the only two honest ones? From the reviews I have read it seems that even the ones that do not post details on their sites, still hold up their promised/spec or whatever. Only curious.
