  1. I edited the post and replaced the old Omega with (what I'm assuming is) a better looking one.
  2. You're right, I'll pull the trigger by tonight at the latest. I'll post pics when it gets here
  3. Too much what? Flashy? With that said, the gen is still half the price of the Rolex.
  4. I've decided to give watch collecting a rest. This will be the last watch I'll be getting, so keep in mind that the watch's lifespan is probably the most important factor to consider. Should I get this Omega: OR This Rolex Sub rep The Omega costs $10 more but at this price point, I could care less, unless, of course, they're equal in just about every other aspect. Both reps are just under $100.
  5. Two , actually; one of a high-end brand and the other of a lesser known one.
  6. I'd rather save up an extra $20 and get a decent Omega rep than settle for utter crap that has so many flaw that it can be spotted from a mile away. Unless the flaws are relatively subtle.
  7. I hate checking my phone for the time. It sucks out the whole classy aspect of checking the time. With that said, I haven't worn a watch in such a long time that checking my phone has become second nature now. haha
  8. So is it a no-go? Looks like I got my hopes up for nothing. :'(
  9. Well, it's not like anybody at my Uni has ever seen a gen Tag Heur anyway. As long as the build quality is half-decent, it'll pass off as gen.
  10. You took the words right out of my mouth, bud. But all I need to know is whether or not it LOOKS half-decent. It could break after 6 months for all I care. I just don't want to get called out wearing it. :-/
  11. does it seem like it's any good judging by the second picture?
  12. specs: - With date display - Comfortable rubber band with a traditional buckle - High crafted finishing and polished for comfortable fit - Accurate watch movement keep a good time - Exquisite design shows the special character for you - The excellent appearance watch is easy to match your cloth and it is also a perfect decoration - The mechanical watch is also a good gift for successful man - Movement Type: Mechanical - Come with a metal case
  13. Who knows? Mexico is a messed up place, that's for sure!
  14. Looks like I have a long way to go. :'( Congrats, mate!
  15. The only problem I'm facing at the moment is whether or not someone will believe that an 18 year old rocks a Rolex. I'm trying to think of a good backstory and the best I could come up with is my parents bought me a used one from my uncle for my 18th birthday. God I'm such a loser, haha.
  16. It only cost me $5 (minus the metal strap), but it'll have to do until I get an Omega/Rolex rep.
  17. I'm not too sure if it has a lume but I don't really care whether or not it has one in the first place. It looks like a solid watch, but I don't want to get called out when I'm wearing it. :-/
  18. So is that a yes or a no? I'm also considering getting this one:
  19. I just realized that all the good used Omega gens (such as the Submariner) go for $2,000+. I think I'll stick with a rep instead. I'm not trying to fool anybody with my Skyfall watch, but regardless, I doubt people will care about the backside of the watch. Should I still get it, or should I go for a different Omega rep?
  20. I'm having a hard time deciding between getting a used omega for $1000 or a rep for around $100-200. If I do end up getting a rep, this'll be the one I go for: What do you guys think?
  21. My rep Armani isn't even worth posting here :'(
