  1. I can't remember where I read it but somone that opened the new generation of rep stated that it was just a 7750 movement with a big plate over it to make it look like the gen P9000. Was it MD2020? I wonder if that little power reserve gadget in the back is functional or just decoration.
  2. Flash--10 more years and I'm 25 and out.. Awesome to see another firefighter watch enthusiast.
  3. I compared this 297 with the one in the Panerai Reference and it looks like they changed a few things for the better. Do I need to be the guinea pig here and order one???
  4. No sir. Firefighter in the USA. But I do travel to MDE frequently and I have two very good friends that are firefighters there. I trade a lot of stuff with the guys.
  5. We don't seem to have any recent postings about this rep. I'm thinking about getting one (or a new version PAM299). I'd like to hear from anyone that has ordered one recently.
  6. Renewed interest in my 332 now that I fixed the CG.
  7. Awesome stories! Renewing my interest a little.
  8. I just had a very quick transaction with toro last week. It even involved rejecting the original watch and getting new QC pics.
  9. Nice!! I have it's stealthy cousin the PAM332. It's one of my favorites.
  10. Both A7750 watches I've owned did that. One all the time the other while running the chrono. The former had a broken fourth wheel pinion. The other hasn't been serviced yet. Bottom line is send it for servicing. I've read so many posts about malfunctioning 7750 movements that it seems like servicing is just a fact of life.
  11. That happened to my 332 as well.
  12. Awesome to here the success stories! I guess it's just a numbers game. Here I thought it would streamline the process but it's actually as time consuming. I work two jobs and have my son when I'm not working so my freetime is almost nil. I turned to online stuff to avoid having to actually leave home and put myself out there. But I actually met a couple of women that are surprisingly high quality. We'll see how it goes. There's just so much weirdness that I'm almost ready to run for my life.
  13. Thanks for the feedback gang. I considered the options but I really just wanted to get a feel for the watch so I bought the cheap one. If I like it I'll upgrade. I bought a sea dweller at the same time to compare. And btw, they did find me another watch with decent print.
  14. I just noticed something wrong with "LOCK" too. I'm rejecting this one but I would still like to know if the Lume is correct. Thanks
  15. Isn't the Lume supposed to be bluish green and not purple? I ordered the 2813 version to see if it suits me.
  16. It will become an obsession. Enjoy!
  17. Okay. For a lot of different reasons, I entered the unpredictable world of online dating about four months ago. And all I can say is, I am DONE. I work with a couple of guys that have had success with the thing but I have had nothing but strange and a little bit downright scary experiences. So. Back to the old fashioned way of meeting unreceptive women for me thank you very much. Anyone with experience in this area? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
  18. I'm still bummed about his passing. As former military and current firefighter, I loved watching Sopranos from the standpoint of leadership instruction. Notwithstanding the illegality of their actions, Tony Soprano the character employed many mechanisms of good leadership. Gandolfini the actor portrayed that character with such precision. R.I.P. And "The Wire" and "Boardwalk Empire" my favorites as well.
  19. I decided to try it out and I just ordered one. And a DSSD for comparison.
