  1. Next time you should drive over to USA and send it from there with USPS. anyway, don't give up hope & good luck to u
  2. yes, but there's nothing wrong with it. When it screw down, it sit flush with the case. Do you think the logo is off a bit?
  3. I got it! This is my newly bought 45mm PO. Let's take a look and help out a new member to judge how she look. All common are welcome
  4. Thank You so much for all the reply and suggestion I will do more research + contact my seller to see what is my best option.
  5. thanks for your Andrew, Yes you are correct, I never done any real service to a watch beside changing the battery....and this is why I need to make sure I understand every single step before I decide to give it a go....( the same step I took every time when I decided to fix my own car, I always study the instruction carefully and see if I got a pic in my head). so far one of thing I may not able to do is remove the rotor, it seem complicate to put it back. If I can ensure I do not need to remove the rotor this will help me a lot. Since you mentioned I can ask the seller to send me a replacement dial, which way is more easy to do.......replace the whole dial or adjust the logo alone ? and....if I take it to a watchsmith how much they will ask for the job? again, thanks for all the help and advice.
  6. beside send it back which I try not to........this is what I'm thinking as well. I found a few useful post about how to pull the movement but I still have a few questions: .....After I remove the case back is it necessary to remove the rotor like The Zigmeister did in his post Uncasing Or I can skip remove the rotor and just release the stem/crown & unscrewing the case clamps like Edge's Link ? and.....do I need to remove the Hands when I fix the LOGO ? at last.....What kinds of glue I should use for the best result? thanks a lot
  7. Just received my 45mm PO. The watch is beautiful like most of the review said and I'm also lucky enough not having the crown problem like some of the member does. Anyway, one of the problem catch my attention is the position of the Omega LOGO. It doesn't line up good with the word "OMEGA", I did couple search and didn't see anyone have a fix on that. Anyone knows how difficult to align the logo? Since this watch seem "perfect enough" to me so far I will try not to ship it back to China if this is a easy fix. I will try to post a pic so you guys can have better idea. thanks for you help
  8. yeah....mine came today as well. Steve, I think both of our watches were on the same fight this is my first replica (45mm PO), I'm so happy to see the quality, great fit and finish. They are right on to called it Ultimate Version. Now I need to find out the right way to set the time/day and make sure I won't mess up anything. I feel like I'm little kid with a new present.
  9. anyone know is there a easy fix on that crown ? My 45mm PO should arrive tmr or monday......I hope I would not have the same problem (keep my finger cross)
  10. hi Steve, I'm in the boat like you. I just checked the usps site and see my Omega has arrived JFK and release from customs today, I'm not sure will they send it to me on Sunday. Right now I'm waiting for Monday arrive
  11. I will give it a bit more time to see how's it turn out....... I understand the frustration you have. Few years ago, a friend of mine send me a set of used wheels from Canada and they got hold by the US customs for few days. I believe they either just pick it up from random or they want to find a reason to tax me, anyway after lots of phone call, 3 trips to the airport and a few days later they release my wheels of no tax charge. I know they can't post any tax on it cuz they are USED. Funny thing is I knew they only open one box to inspect and give it a go, why ? cuz I saw a hand print on one of the wheel which is full of brake dust btw, did u try to contact the vendor about the customs issue?
  12. I'm in the same boat like you guys. I can't wait to see my 45mm PO arrive......it should be somewhere around the Pacific Ocean or even the US air space !
  13. keep in mind, 2 other big holiday in China will be the first week of May ( Labor festival ) & 1st week of Oct ( Golden week)
  14. I think the Chinese customs are more likely to look into goods that is coming into China than going out (except illegal stuff, of course). Why? cuz Chinese Govt post heavy tax on almost all import goods. Especially luxury items like watches, wine, tobacco, high tech electronic...........So when a customs agent see your pkg and know there's a Rolex, Omega inside........you got the picture. Yeah we all know they are damaged or defective but I'm sure the customs will hold on the pkg and inspect it carefully until they believe the conditions of the watches is exactly like you said. ( a replica, damaged & defective) I don't know how often people need to send their watches back to China but I think if it is possible the seller should give us some customs friendly tips on how to send it back. After all they should know the customs better than us. Anyway, I agree with some of you that the seller should inspect the products more carefully before they spend them oversea. Return any product half way around the world is not fun especially it is a replica. Btw, I don't think the customs will take away the watches simply because it is a rep as they probably know they are "made in China" good luck
  15. I'm sure there will be some delay. Post office may close and lots of factory worker will have 5 to 10 days of vacation. Chinese New Year is the biggest ( and longest) holiday in China. just email the seller about your concern I'm sure he will give you the best advice
  16. tourby, thanks for the quick reply. You are right, there's so much info here I can't learn and understand in just a few days. OK, back to my learning process and I hope you don't mind I ask a few more questions Is all Genuine Panerai equipped with the Swan neck regulator ? Is the size of H series same as other series ? what/where is the cannon pin? what is the meaning of a recessed cannon pin? thanks a again
  17. Hello Panerai gang, I'm new here and have very little knowledge about Panerai watches, however I found the Panerai is a very interesting design and they start to glow on me. As I see more Pam on the board I got more questions, I hope you guys can help me to understand the Pam more by asking here. What is Swan neck? can you tell me how to find/ID the neck ? Why some model like Pam 111 have a "H" next to it? what is the different? Is there only 2 movement in the Pam (non-chron) Swiss Unitas 697 and Asia unitas 6697 ? I see there's color screw inside the movement do they means anything? Can I tell what movement the watch has by the color of the screw? which one is more easy to mod (both parts and labor) if compare Pam to Rolex and Omega ? thank you for your help wHo
  18. that's why the 45mm PO get my attention more and more
