Nah, not my style. I just don't think the colors go together.
Nice try though.

Ok, so I finally broke down and I now have a BK DSSD incoming. My question is, will a gen insert be a direct fit / replacement?
If not, has anyone tried the WSO insert?
Thanks,
Dave...

Wow, when its Rains-it-Pours:
Love the 'new' Mini caseback

Wow, can you Really believe some people are actually bidding on this piece of junk.
Look at the lousy date window and that hideous font on the case back. Let's not even start on the dial markers!
Everyone needs to report this to Ebay. What a scam!

Looking good so far. I like to see the beginning to my next watch
Good luck with the build.

Hey 997, just sell it to me. It's what I'm looking for and then you won't have to
Worry or wonder about it any more.
Nice watch,
Dave...

Yep, count me in for one too. Will you be offering both open and closed 6 9 DWO?
Thanks,

As everyone probably already knows,
the screw-down pushers that come with a DW Monte Carlo case SUCK!
I've only had my newly built Monte for about 5 weeks and this morning I wake up to find my bottom screw-down
pushers is missing
The top one was giving me a little trouble when unscrewing it, and I've already sent DW an email, asking if he
had a replacement for the top pusher. Of course no reply in over 3 1/2 weeks!
So, does anyone know who makes a good pair of replacements that fit a DW case?
Thanks,
Dave... -
I like this watch, very cool. I like anything that's different. Where can I get one of these case sets to build my own?

Whoopy's, any update on the dial project?
Thanks,
Dave...

Thanks for the info guys. I'll either just build a 16610 or if my 1680 dial still fits, I may just
build my own fantasy beater.

Thanks for everyone.
but the part I need to polish not brush.
to be exectly , its the side of a wm9 body.
Not a problem. You can start with my method above and then work through the same process with different levels of
sand paper. 800, 1200, 1500, 2000 and finish with 3000 and use water with the sand paper. The higher up you go with the sandpaper
numbers, the less actual metal it removes and creates a very shiny polished finish.

Check a post I did about my method: http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/just-little-cleaning-135497.html?t=135497
In case you can't read the link, here is it again. Its a very easy process and works great. And yes, go in one direction only
taking your time. If the scratches are still there, just repeat the process until they are all gone. The nail file I used has 4
different sides and some you can buy will have a different level of roughness on each side.
OK, so I got my 'gently-used' Omega Ploprof last week. Tonight (while the wife was out) I decide to do a little cleaning.
I use the wife's nail file to get the job done, so it's a good idea to wait until she's not around. OK, so with 30 minutes,
the wife's nail file, my polishing cloth and my camera, here are the results:
The clasp 'before' with a few desk marks:Now the 'after' shot, after some buffing with the nail file and polishing cloth:
The project table (the kitchen island) another good reason to wait for the wife to be out:
So, if you have a few desk marks that bother you, grab your wife's nail file and clean'em up.

Dave, the watch you bought is a 16610 case with the sapphire crystal and the modern bezel assembly.
This won't work for a 1680 build- sorry!
So are you saying the bezel can't be changed-out for a 1680? What makes the bezel assembly
so different between a 1680 & 16610? Also I should be able to swap the crystal, no?
Still learning here.
Thanks,
Dave...

Its tough being a Bruins fan this morning. Yes the Hawks were a better team this year and did a great job pushing the puck
most games, but still I hate to go down in this way. Now we'll be know for the greatest loss in a game deciding Stanley cup
finals. Everyone will forget the great ending to game 7 against Toronto for the Bruins. Now they are saying it's 'Karma' for
the Bruins to end this way. The Hawks deserve the win, they were a better team, but we all just wanted to see a game 7
triple overtime ending!

I've never heard of a BK 1680 case, maybe you could explain.
Here is the original FS post:

I hope this will be a good case for my 1680 build!

I have a case set coming in. It's an older BK case with lug holes. I'm told it already has a Clark tube installed.
So my question is, will a Gen 703 crown fit? If not, what is the best crown to get?
BTW, if anyone has a crown laying around they don't need, plz let me know!
Thanks,
Dave... -
