That's soo hard...from this point you had no chance to know that he actually wasn't the legit owner of the watch. I wouldn't have asked for more proof too to be honest. The only way to avoid something like this in the future is what they already have over at RWI. For each and every sale a sales thread has to be opened...no matter if it is a sale between friends, a WTB or any other form of sale. If the seller doesn't want to you can be sure something's fishy...

Soo...the dial arrived today and my first thought was..."cool...they sent me the wrong dial"...cool because the dial I got today has a chapter ring just like all the gilt dials have. The dial looks really nice...it's glossy, it's a true gilt dial, it's very nice printed...and...it's totally fantasy... It's an OYSTER PRINCE and no OYSTER-PRINCE...it has to be matte and not glossy.... But the good is...I got it really cheap and I keep it. I'm going to build my own fantasy gilt Tudor with it and would be a nice looking watch that almost no one knows what it is anyway even if it was complete gen
