  3. Wow! Think of what you'll save on petrol!
  4. Since it's a long-term project anyway, I'd certainly explore the EU route if I were you. You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain by finding one in Germany, for instance. On the other hand, going over to the U.S. and tracking one down might be a great adventure and a wonderful experience. I wonder how much one in show-car condition would cost....? Update: over $100,000 for certain mint late 60s models http://www.oldride.com/classic_cars/chevro...&offset=160 Otherwise, from $500 (project car) and up, depending on year and condition. Here's a general link that should keep you busy: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=f...G=Google+Search
  5. How big are you, TeeJay? I might have just what you're looking for Mint condition!
  6. What me worry?

  9. I never said that! Well ok, I did.
  10. Of course: you can get them at practically any Panerai-licensed dealer. Check your Yellow Pages
  11. Over 10,000 posts in The Shortest Thread Ever I sense a contradiction in terms here. As my Christmas present to the board, I'm going to make a big exception to the do-not-post-here rule in an effort to inculcate some basic principles of mathematics. This is in the hopes of educating members how to keep the post-count down in this thread, as well as sharpening computational skills in their dealings with watch prices, delivery dates and the rudiments of expressing the hours of the day: http://pbskids.org/teletubbies/everywhere2.html For any problems in comprehension, please contact our resident mathematics whiz, Moderator Nanuq - who, if he's not out riding his bike naked into snowbanks while racing with the packs of ravenous wolves which he keeps as playmates, will be more than happy to answer any of your questions ...
  12. You guys are in an entirely different league: makes me want to give it all up and accomodate myself to smoking Hav-a-Tampas!
  13. It's the Shortest Day Ever: somehow seems appropriate to post here
  14. Wolves everywhere these days Vicky, just everywhere. Me, I barely go out anymore - and I'm in Paris
  15. Whoops...sorry, Lanikai - I got my references crossed and thought you had posted the reference to habanosdirect...when it was, in fact, JoJo35. Talk about being befuddled.... Time for a little Hemlock tea to clear my head Update: did a rapid Google search to try to ascertain the credibility of habanodirect.com and could not find anything negative. There was a rip-off imitation site known as hananosdirect.com, but clearly not the same company. The former has been in business since 1947 (according their own info) and is located in Spain - with warehouses(?) in the Canary Islands, which might explain their being able to get around EU VAT. Are these people the real deal or not? First glance say yes; more experienced smokers here might see red flags or know the real story... What say you guys?
  16. Two football fields-long: I wonder how she'd do in gale-force conditions?
  17. Ask, and it shall be given: https://www.habanodirect.com/shop1/home.asp
  18. Thanks for the heads-up, Lanikai: that looks like an excellent source - particularly for people in the EU. Nice selection, really low prices, and you can create your own 'sampler' boxes by selecting sticks from their entire offering. I'm planning to try them out in a few days...will report back. Aloha, and happy holidays!
  19. ...eating clean and getting lots of sleep - gotcha, Mentalist! Now where's that T3?
  20. Merry Achmed Xmas!
  21. Sorry, Vicky - changed my comment just after you quoted the original... Don't see you posting as much as usual around here...cat got your tongue, or have you turned into a lurker?
  22. Check out the rotating-axis tourbillon on the Calibre P.2005 Good luck in repping that...
  23. I appreciate the info! There's nothing like the voice of personal experience. Sounds like something to try out....
