  1. I was lost when Zeitgeist was represented as a mocumentary. I thought it was a three part documentary made to enlighten ignorant people, who are blind to the world around them from there limited education.
  2. Here is a shot of the watch in the second half of the movie.
  3. That looks really sharp. How does the strap hold up to wear and tear? It it similar to a nylon NATO strap, does it get all funky when submerged in water or worn daily? I have an ARKTOS and the rubber strap isnt cutting it for me.
  4. There was an American reality show a few years ago with all of the American special forces competing against each other to see who was the toughest. I think it went on for 2 seasons and the American PMC's won both times from what I remember. Various countries do exersizes with each othere and the PMC's always win. I think it is funny when people throw out countries that have no active military, with no proven track record as having the best Special forces. If you saw some of the mentioned countires uniforms you would know that they are not as elite when they get hand me down uniforms from the US. When you see some countries wearing there native uniforms you would laugh at them becuase of how un-camoflauge they are. They look like there wearing a bright green get-up and getting ready to go to a techno club, or rave. I still think USA has the most versatile force just becuase of ther sheer amount of special operations units it has. USA really only has one special forces unit called the green berets. Then each branch (that is 4) has a few elite special operations units of there own. Not to mention the millions of $$ the USA spends on PMC's.
  5. I found a video clip of The Democratic Socialist Republic of Kambi Bolongo super secret L33t special forces unit operating in Africa. Here Just Kidding don't anyone take this personally, just some light humor. Probably some guys in the TA.
  6. Lol, ok good point. Each group has there specialty, but what unit is the best well rounded to deal with any situation that arrises, and has the most likely hood of sucess no matter what the mission. What unit is the toughest, most well equiped, and best well rounded for anything at a moments notice. Weather it is rescuing a downed pilot in the Himalayas, rescuing hostages in the jungle, fighting a entire battalion or securing a village in Afgahanistan.
  7. Damn I forgot to add them, they are bad azz with a lot of action and hands on experince. They also have been trained by all of the big dawgs mentioned above. They have also had extensive influence from MI5 and the CIA. I should probably add IRAN as well.
  8. Once you go PAM its an addiction. I wear my ARKTOS every day, and was considering buying a 2nd.
  9. Hello All, Simply put what country has the most bad azz, hard, special forces/operations/elite military fighting unit in the world? Top runners are UK USA CANADA FRANCE GERMANY IRAN ISRAEL MUJADEN Since this forum is a world forum I am curious to know what the rest of the world considers to be the most elite. Being an American and living in the US, with numerous special operation units we consider are elite un-rivaled, by any other force in the world. I know SAS are very popular in the world, but that the SBS are even more selective. Canadian special forces have been given praise in the media, and the German elite seem to be under utilized. Your thoughts please.
  10. They have the EURO PRIDE parade in London every year, same event. they shut the majority of the streets down in the center of London. You must not get out much. I am not from the UK and I have seen it a few times by coincidence. If you have a TV and watch it, they brodcast it on the BBC. They advertise on the radio as well. You must not have a car either.
  11. or maybe he was fired for telling students, as a high school science teacher, that global warming was settled science when it was not (it is still not)? personally i would value the opinion of thousands of climatologists with phd's who are working in their field every day and publishing peer reviewed result over a high school science teacher with probably a ba...
  12. I know that London holds the EURO PRIDE parade. They had a huge parade in 2006, blocked off the entire city and down town square where the art museum is located. They had about 1000 drag queens, and people from all over the world. I think it is a yearly event becuase I use to go to London monthly and I saw it going on in 2004, 2005, and 2006. They also have a free concert going on with some good bands. It was funny becuase I had my parents and in-laws from the states over and I was showing them around London. They are ultra-concervative and it was a bit of a shock for them to see so many drag-queens everywhere in full costume. I found out from my wifes friend that London England is home to the largest gay club in the world called G-A-Y. I did a little internet search and I found that Britian is the must visit gay place to visit in 2006. Living in Enlgand for 4 years I kind of figured that by the culture. I am not gay and do not have gay friends or hang out in the gay community but if you get out of the house often like I do you are sure to run into a PRIDE parade once in your life. Here
  13. I dont know what to believe because everyone lies so much that is in power. I remember when the Y2K scare was rampent. I was in college and my major was computer science. With the limited knowlege that I had learned at the time I knew Y2K was BS and was enginered to make money. There were alot of people in my class taking advantage of the scare and running a BS program that would check if your computer was Y2k compliant. They would charge $300 a pop for 15 mnutes of work that they said would make your computer Y2K safe. There were hundreds of software developers that were releasing software selling it for $400 for a floppy disk that didnt do [censored]. I was also an intern for the city at the time in the IT department and I know the city spent thousands of dollars on BS software to check if there computers were compliant. I couldnt convince anyone that Y2K was fake media hype. My own parents didnt belive me and made me go buy 10 5gallon jugs of purified water. I saw all of the stores taking full advantage of the Y2K scare by advertising batteries lanterns and camping supplies. That is when I knew that we are doomed in the world becuase the majority of us are not educated and down right ignorant. This could easily be a repeat factor to make money. My science teacher in High School told us about global warming and how it was manufactured, and this was like 10 years ago. He said that people hated him for saying that. He was a professor and lost his job at ASU becuase he went against the norm of global warming and poked holes in it for years. I still think CO2 is bad becuase the air in California sux, compared to the air quality in the natonal parks.

  15. A 44mm is pushing it for most guys. I think a 40mm would be your best bet. The titanium and brushed look are very masculine and give it that outdoor rugged look. I think you could get away with a 44mm and it would look big, but not clown big. That cream color band would look nice on a lot of PAM's.
  16. Do you have big wrists? It says 47mm that is a fairly large watch for a female IMHO. I have an average size wrist for a guy and I can barely get away with wearing a 44mm. It looks big on my wrist but not overbearing.
  17. I can agree with that. The trick is to find a good health care provider and good doctor. Usually if my doctor cannot narrow down something he will send me to a specialist in the area. My primary doctor basically covers minor issue and referes me to a specialist in the fields that he thinks the problem is eminating from. The major difference is that I can get an appointment that day or the next. Without waiting forever. Usually I can see a specialist that same day, or have a choice to pick from. Of course my doctor will recomend one. The major differnce is that I can see 3 different doctors in 1 day if I wanted a 2nd and 3rd opinon. In the UK that would be impossible. I can also get medication with no problem within minutes, or I can pick it up at hundreds of drive threw stores at my conveniance. That is non existant in the UK. I have a family doctor, so I see the same person everytime, and it establishes a relationship between patient and provider. They really go the extra mile and I have a variety of cures to choose from conventional, herbal, non-conventional. It is all covered by my insurance at 0 cost to me. Im not necessarily talking about the Doctors but more the facility, like bringing your own gown, every thing needed and not needed is provided in US, food served, quality of service, linens changed, own private room, own bathroom, no room mates, parking, hospital facilities for guest, restuarants in hospital, chappel, stores, satellite T.V. in room, location, wait time, all of that stuff that lacks in the EU. I think they forgot about all of that stuff. In the US it is like staying in a hotel, in the UK it is like staying in a hospital. They both get the job done.
  18. Get a good job that includes insurance. Health insurance in the UK sux I just lived there for 3 years. It may be free but there is a reason that it is free. Because it is cheap and crap. It couldnt hold a candle to the facilities in the US but it is free. I visited my friend when his wife had her baby in Paris. The facility looked similar to the ones in the UK. In the US you have dozens of providers and you can even choose to have alternative medicine care providers now under most company's. How is Canadas health care facilities compared to other countries? The free health care hype is all political and would degrade the health care system in the US. Besides there is next to free health care in the US. It is called "county" the gov will usually pay all of your costs if you are beneath the national average or charge you very little. The 3D ultra sound was invented in the UK and the majority of the hospitals still do not have it available WTF is with that.
  19. Not to kill the light but I have bought about a few reps here and other places. They all seem to crap out and have small problems after wearing them as daily beaters. I like to wear my watches 24/7 and alternate them daily. I usually almost always put them on my winders when not worn. I dont have any really nice reps but I have all of the major brands and all of the major movements Asian 21J, Asian 7750, ETA 2836-2 etc etc... They all lose time eventually and sometimes dramatically. About 100% of them have no real water resistance out of the box when submerged in any depth for more than a few minutes. Like everyone has said they all have decent movements and I think the problem lies more in manufacturing and the movements not being oiled properly before assembly. If I wear a rep I have learned to always carry my cell phone as a back-up. It is weired I have a PAM that I wear daily for work, it keeps very accurate time for about 5 days, then all of a sudden it looses like 35mins over night. Then it is back to running normal, and keeping accurate time. I think the big difference is, a rep will come out of the box like crap, but with a little TLC it will be as reliable as a gen for keeping accurate time. With some more $$$ swim worthy, which is what water resistant should really mean.
  20. I think it is more like a year to months behind. I saw a whole episode on the Discovery about the Japanese electronic market vs. US. Simply put, people in Japan dont mind spending a lot of $$$ on electronics compared to Americans. The UK is about 6 months ahead of the American cell phone market. I just came from the UK and when I got to the US, I was asking for phones that were not due to release in the US untill months later. On top of that only a few carriers were going to carry the phones. For example the Prada isnt due in the US for a while and its been out in the UK for months already. The same story with the PALM Treo 800i. In japan they also have a more advanced mobile phone network compared to the US. In the US all we have is CDMA and GSM QUAD BAND is a new thing here. The same with 3G, EDGE, E-VDO etc etc.... Japan has had live TV for years now and it is relatively new to the US and UK. Japan releases tons of products that the EU and US market will never see. I remember when the PS2 came out. It was out months ahead of time in Japan and you could get it in every color of the rainbow. Here is your flying car but most of us dont make enought to afford one. I remember seeing it advertised about 5 years ago. I think the Moller M400 goes for a cool million.
  21. When I got my first sub. I handed it to my wife and she said that the band felt cheap. I think the sharp edges were the give away. The deployment clasp is also thinner than any of my other watches. Maybe there is a slight difference in thickness or something between the rep and the gen.
  22. BlackBerry is the best, still sports a longer battery life, better GPS, the best push e-mail ever, corporate enterprise e-mail, a nice trackball, and the only PDA with real one handed capability. A better built more durable phone when it comes down to it. The i-phone will have the same faults a the LG Prada. You can look at the bright side it comes out in 10 more days then the google phone will release and that will be the next craze. BB4LIFE
  23. After seeing these, now I know Im living in the MATRIX. Greatest Speeches American Idiot WTF are u serious
