Wow...selling it at a massive markup from original sale...not cool at all. This and other boards are a small community and really did not put a bit of thought of what it means to do that.

As part of your homework before the purchase, do a thorough inspection on the watch. There is a thread here that shows imperfections on gen watches.

No recourse here im afraid. Salvage whatever ypu can and make the best of it. Make lemonades from lemons. Take up the offer to fix the two watches. As for the nikos guy, he showed complete disregard and disrespect for his property and others. Ban him from this and all rep forums.

The Navitimer. There is no really decent rep out there aside from doing a project yourself.

Do some searching in the forum to get yourself informed on what type of servicing and with whom. You may also want to consider cost of swapping the movement with gen.

Got mine today too with extra date wheels. The packaging could have been done better to protect the movements though. Looking at the movement I can make out the 29 jewels...swiss, 7750 but not the eta logo. Anyone locate this yet?

Yes get it serviced. If you really like the watch, get the movement swapped with ETA.
