Let's see if the factories come up with a solution to this. I am happy with the watch and can tell you it feels like a Million $$ on the wrist... Gear or no gear showing thru. No one can notice anyway

Guys....while all this is good....let me tell you ....having this watch on my wrist.....there is no way anyone can tell whether the gears are showing thru or not....not unless someone brings is close to their face and has a close look....even then at first it seems like there is some kinda movement behind the dial (the swirl marks on the plate give this kinda effect). The options I see are: # Live with the watch the way it is......it is indeed a very good copy # Put the decal on the top plate (thanks Francisco....your tutorial on the decal is really great....had missed out on that one) # Do some fancy drilling work on the plate (@ the risk of screwing up the movement)...and honestly....I don't think it would work...as the movement exposed by drilling the plate will be quite far from the dial (because of the plate) and won't be visible on a cursory glance as such And lastly...and the best option....hope that the rep factories come up with an updated version. Thanks Francisco ....From this it seems that the top plate has no function......so should be ok to put movement decals/stickers on this plate and have some gears showing thru the dial.

Get this one guys and you won't regret it. I already got a couple of compliments today with people noticing the watch saying it was looking good.

Yes the size seems to be the same as ROO. I did post some side by side pics last night

Am ordering the new 127 with correct Swiss E movement from DSN. That was an easy decision. The hard part is which strap to put on it. I am sorta biased towards Peter Gunny straps....love the texture and softness of his straps. The options are to go for either the 74 serie, Caitlin II or the Caitlin. Here are the pics of the straps..... Pls give your opinion or better still post your pics...on what would look good with this watch.....the 74 is expensive....but money is no object here...as there is only a $50-60 difference. 74 Serie Caitlin II Caitlin

Measured the RB and ROO.....both have the same lug size....so I guess the straps should be interchangeable.

Yes...am 99% certain they are the same size....will measure it properly in the morning. My wrist size is about 6.2 inches....and this watch sits very comfortable on the wrist.....for some reason....it feels far more comfortable than the ROO

The lug size / strap size seems to be the same for both the watches. Will measure it again tomorrow morning...just to reconfirm.

Mate....agreed that the backplate can be modded to make it closer to gen....however, even while wearing it...the swirl marks don't look bad...overall the watch looks really classy. I doubt if anyone in real life will actually notice the swirl marks and say....it's a fake or looks cheap....on the contrary...looks sorta cool to me. It's the macro shots that make the swirl marks too obvious. Cheers

Ok....pics getting uploaded to Photobucket now....have taken some comparison pics of RB and ROO as well. As for the plate under the dial...it has been machined and has swirl marks.....kinda gives an impression of some machinery under the dial....so looks quite good actually. I don't think I will have any reservations wearing this....

Just got home guys. Will take some pics after dinner and put them up. The strap is probably not leather but is decent... Much better than the crappy one I saw on IWC BP. Good thing is that wifey said it's looking good on the wrist ... Thank heaven for lil mercies No doubt, a lot of effort has gone into making this rep. The person riding with me in the car park elevator noticed the watch. Said wow nice looking watch... I said thanks... Told him it was an AP... Sigh... He had no frigging clue what the fish is an AP. He did look at watch closely and said impressive looking watch.
