As for getting your reps serviced....it's a good idea. However, 9 times of out 10...a new rep will probably run good for a few months to over a year before it requires any servicing. Having said that....if you get the watch serviced on day one (not something that most members here do)..........you are definitely ensuring that your watch runs for a long time.
You can get the watch serviced by any of our resident experts or a your local rep-friendly watchsmith. As for the cost.....shouldn't cost too much....but depends on the movement and the level of servicing required (e.g. do you want waterproofing done, main spring replaced, gaskets replaced etc.)
