Always wanted one of these but not sure if I'm willing to take the chance. I wish someone would come up with a reliable fix for this, the overall rep itself is beautiful...they gotta do something about the movement, it would be well worth the effort because they would sell like crazy!

Just another testament to the fact that all the work (mods, tweaks, etc..) is probably all unnecessary except for .01% of the population. the other 99.99% could not spot most of the current reps right out of the box. Guess that's why this is just a hobby

Anyone else been able to compare the latest men's DJ to gen? Just wondering overall how close the case is etc is overall... Thanks!

I think by-tor might be onto something..... But, why is there such a delay for George? I have owned a Paul's "so called perfect" for a very long time now (at least 6 months or so, I could check my emails to see exactly when I bought it). After looking at the watchmaker9 pics again I do notice that in some of the pics the watches are wrapped in the protective wrapping? Why on earth would a "pre-production" watch be wrapped!!!???? Maybe they ordered it from Paul

I am referring to the newest datejust reps from Joshua, Andrew, etc...the ones with the polished cases. Has anyone held one side by side to gen. Is case/bezel/crystal on the money overall? Thanks for any insight.

Great review BK. I am still waiting on my LV MBW from TTK. Is it a norm that the MBW's are NOT waterproof? All my other reps have gone swimming right out of the box with no problems whatsoever?

I was about to ask this very question. I have 2 LV subs on their way to me... an MBW from TTK and a $188 Josh. Has anyone compared the green inserts side by side with a gen?

VERY nice! elprimerozen, this is the current RLSS10005 ($328) listed on josh's site? What is the difference between this watch and the $188 version? What is the procedure for changing the insert on these watches? Sorry for all the questions

I agree with the others, re-sale value of the rep is going to be pretty much non-existant while the gen obviously will have "real" value. I could never see myself spending that kind of money on a rep.... Maybe 15 reps but not ONE rep

Cool, thanks for the reply and for trying that out. Do you happen to remember which dealer that case was from? I think they may vary from dealer to dealer because I spoke to ruby and she says that you cannot even remove the bezels from her DJ's (they are permanently attached to the case).

bump for any more input before I place an order...someone has to have tried installing a gen bezel on a men's date just. Even if you tried and it DID NOT work please chime in with the dealer so that I know to rule that one out

I agree, I think stainless is the way to go. I bought the wifey a ss ladies DJ from paul with cz on the dial... very hard to tell they are cz through the crystal. Then I added a 18k white gold VS1 diamond bezel (about $700), the bezel is not a necessity off the bat. I gave it to her with the "stock" fluted bezel for our anniversary..then gave her the diamond bezel on her birthday. She was VERY happy on both occasions and I think the watch looks awesome. It gets tons of compliments when she wears it... Good luck!!
