  1. Would a Paul's So Called Perfect also be a good choice? I am thinking complete movt/dial/hands swap onto 16610 MBW??
  2. Nope...Still have not figured this out yet. I did open the watch up and if I press the release I can remove the crown but if I re-insert it, the crown gets stuck again?? Any ideas on how I can fix this? I am thinking about just buying a new movement. Nope, no relation to the blingster.
  3. I hear you but, although it was announced several months ago I don't think any were actually shipped out until now. I am pretty sure that watcher signed up a long time ago for this watch.
  4. YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone want to buy 2 16610 Noobs, 1 LV noob, a Josh Classic 16610, a Josh Classic LV, Beginmariner, MBW 16610, MBW 16610 LV? I am selling all 8 of them for a special package price of $655.99, I will even throw in shipping...haha
  5. The crown on my UPO is stuck in, I cannot pull it out. How can I fix this? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks! Edited to add a little history, to be more specific: I had previously removed the movement because when I received the watch there was an hour marker that had fallen off the dial and was floating around in the watch. I successfully removed the movement and re-attached the marker. Then when I put it all back together I inserted the crown/stem very carefully but I guess I must have forced something because now I could only set the date in the innermost position but I could not pop it out to the 1st or second position. I could only unscrew the crown and set the date in the unscrewed position. Based on a little research I figured it was the keyless works. Am I wrong? What else could it be?
  6. Can't wait til you get that...must be a tough wait Looking forward to your review with a TON of pics right?
  7. The pics I posted in this thread are of my MBW which I got a few months ago. I got it from TTK...patience is definetly required if you want one (that's the only catch). I actually bought (2 of them) a standard 16610 and an LV I would say it took about a month to get each of them...I am very happy with them though. Not sure who else can source them.
  8. Not sure but, I think what bk means is that it still needs basically the same mods as say an MBW to be as close to perfect...but it still costs TWICE as much as you can typically get an MBW. But you still have to mod it.
  9. bk, $375 is ONLY a 50% DEPOSIT!!! the other 50% is due once they are ready to ship!!! The watch is $655... TOTAL, USD$655.99 PRE-ORDER DEPOSIT: USD375.99 FOR DELIVERY BY OR BEFORE DECEMBER 1, 2007 (We will email you for the balance of USD$280 right before your order is ready for shipping from U.K.)
  10. Those upward sloping crown guards look soo familiar ...
  11. I want to build a two tone (with real gold) rolex sport watch, either a sub or a gmt. I was wondering if any of the reps of these two watches will accept a gen bezel easily? or if mods are needed, how to make a gen bezel fit? Does not necessarily have to be a modern version but is preferred.
  12. I would agree on the comment from l-dizzle regarding the drop-shippers and ZERO quality control. I have a beginmariner (joshua) and I am pretty darn unhappy with it....the crystal is installed crooked, the second hand jumps forward about a 1/4 inch when adjusting the time, and the bracelet is stuck in about 3 places. I can't speak for the other models since I have not actually held/owned them but the beginmariner that I received was pretty sad
  13. Yeah, we were talking about these several months ago...now pushed back until december, just in time for Christmas. I surely hope that if it is indeed a new/better case that all the dealers get them
  14. I definetly won't be educating anyone outside our community on the finer details of our reps...I have read hundreds of posts and done lots of studying to learn all the things I have on the rep forums. Let them learn it for themselves!!! If you give away all our secrets then the hobby is pretty much over
  15. Thing is that most everyone in this thread is concerned that we are waiting around for something that A) already exists and is being overhyped. or something that may be new but not exclusive or C) the most perfect case to date. Since all we can go on is the limited info wm9 has provided and the pics... we can only speculate on what we have to go on. Whether or not any of us was burned previously by wm9 really makes no difference when we all know they were selling $550 noobs ( and not some exclusive watch) previously...that fact alone already leads folks to be wary. Don't get me wrong I hope this thing is real
  16. Great job More pics wanted! Is this a Paul's So called Perfect Sub? Thanks
  17. That watch is very nice. I went back on forth for a while on whether or not to go jubilee band + fluted bezel OR oyster + smooth bezel. The watch is for my wifey as well so I ended up going jubilee b/c she loves her lady dj which is also jubilee but oyster + smooth is super nice. The pic I posted was before I sized the watch for her...I am no longer allowed to wear it. I have a similar story regarding an ad and her wearing her lady dj while trying other watches...no problems at all, very similar experience.
  18. LOL...Man, that is too funny...that is exactly how I feel. I would seriously take it personally if someone tried to call me out in public in hopes to humilate me. Now if they approached me in a more subtle way that is a different story but a public calling out would really make me want to poke their eyes out...
  19. Tribal, pretty much covered it. What it comes down to is the case. In my opinion as far a MODERN Subs go the MBW case is the BEST for modders and will allow you to end up with the best finished product. Not as good as the vintage MBW's but still The best MODERN case out there. I recently got my hands on an MBW and have owned quite a few of the other popular subs out there....once you have seen this case and awesome rehaut (not just rehaut depth, but rehaut thickness and the fact that it is MUCH more cylindrical rather than conical) the other cases just won't cut the mustard at all. If you want to build the best Modern sub, right now the MBW is the one to get.
  20. fxrandy, you know that honestly I had not even noticed that. I just took a look at the watch right now and it is off ever so slightly, but I think the camera angle is exagerating it a bit too. Thanks raijor. Yeah, I'm quite happy with the watch just have not had the opportunity to compare it to any of the newer style gens. Thanks again for your input guys.
  21. fxrandy-"my mum has not reported being late for work once" ...LOL too funny. Yeah these ETA movements are generally darn good right out of the box. Raijor, my guess is they are probably the same too but I think eddie lee for example gets different watches, and there are a couple different versions for a few models. Anyway I got the Salmon + Roman Numeral SS version...
  22. VERY nice watches & pics! Those vintage MBW's are really getting to me...must resist urge to buy more (at least until all the watches I have on order arrive safely in my hands).
  23. Great info guys, thank you. Freddy, that makes a lot of sense, good rule of thumb. Raijor, I ordered one from Joshua and it looks very nice I wonder if Ruby's are the same? Did the gen dial fit without any mods? Thanks!
  24. Freddy, is there a writeup on this somewhere? What movement exactly would do this and is it a drop in affair or is this a very advanced type of swap? Thanks
  25. LOL...I hear you..after probably 6 different subs over the last few years I finally have an MBW which I plan to start modding... just as soon as I figure out exactly which way I am going to go with it. It's probably more like 1 in a 1,000,000 or at least 1 in a 100,000 though that has as much time on their hands to try to "catch" us as we do to try and fool them
