  1. hey v, i would be interested in one with just the number 26. maybe in the panerai (sveningsson) font? thanks and let me know what you think?
  2. it's a little hard to read, but no matter what it says ... i think it's hilarious!
  3. well, i was a dedicated member of the replica-watches-guide or rwg1 but when it was down for so long, i had no choice but to move on. i was reluctant to join another forum, but after a long time i joined this site or rwg2. it seems that mostly all of the regulars have now made the move. i check back every once and a while but for me, this site is #1 now. all the best.
  4. well curiosity just got the better of me the other day. against my own will, i removed the case back of my genuine pam 091. i was surprised to see a gold ring around the inside, but even more surprising was the hand written markings! here's what is written (in marker) on the inside of my case back: X III 1533352 2-6 initially i assumed that the first # (X III) represented the movement but after some research, i found out that X III would actually represent a gmt model ... the 091 is an OP III calibre. i then thought that the second # (153352) might be a serial # ... but again after checking it out, that is not right either. finally, i may be correct with the third # (2-6). this watch was serviced prior to my purchase. i can only assume that 2-6 stands for february 2006? i posted this on paneristi and members commented that some watch makers initial their work. the numbers could represent their id # from the factory etc. it's pretty cool, if you think about it. a little personal touch direct from the factory that made it all happen in the first place! i just thought i'd share this with my fellow rwg'ers. maybe some of you have had similar experiences with your watches? here are a couple of poor pictures to help explain. p.s. the movement looks sweet!
  5. oooh ... i just puked in my mouth!
  6. 091 with silicone bracelet. simply click HERE to get yours!
  7. research a good man named homer. he has a watch box that will hold eight panerai's. all of the information is here. good luck and i'll check back with you tomorrow!
  8. you can't keep a good man down. that's great news joe!
  9. now that is what you call too much time on your hands.
  10. lol. one bad purchase will usually set you straight. stick to the dealers here. they know what they are doing.
  11. update for archibald, please see 1200 dpi in jpg format below. warning ... modem burner!
  12. i did wear it and she loved it! i think you may have taken me the wrong way in my original post. it wasn't a dig at you, simply that 90% of the rep dates look awful. i know because i have some. anyway, loosen your tie and have a drink ... it's wednesday! p.s. her hips don't lie.
  13. i've got one! but thanks for the tip leitztozeiss.
  14. decent date? it's terrible ... the dealers can make them look ok in pictures, but they are brutal and that one is no exception.
  15. sweet straps v, where did you get the panerai engraved pre-v buckles? any good deals on them?
  16. scion xb on 18's ... the only one in the bahamas! check out the love in picture #2.
  17. settle down finepics, he was probably writing his message at the same time you were posting yours. i didn't realize that you and other members have been spending a lot of time on this issue. i just happen to come across the date wheel, so i scanned it to see if it was any use to anyone. you are right, it is from an 8 days watch. not taking into consideration what you said about the thickness, a circle is a circle ... if it was re-sized properly, wouldn't it work on anything? anyway, this is why i usually stay out of the watch repair and upgrade threads.
  18. i saved it as a bmp and jpg. here is the bmp file ... that's the best i can do unless you have any further suggestions? feel free to pm me.
  19. well i'm just recovering from a long day on the set. for anyone who has ever been an extra before, it is a lot of the "hurry up and wait" routine. luckily we took a cooler full of beer and that kept us occupied. the premise was a mock concert featuring panasonic's new product line of video and digital cameras. there were a lot of good looking models there and shakira herself was absolutely beautiful ... and those moves! i ended up rocking my genuine pam 091. i did my best to get it in every shot possible. my wife and i were placed up front in the middle and had a lot of camera shots that came from over our heads. i did my best to get us some exposure ... i guess we'll have to wait and see. it was tough for me to get any great shots as there was absolutely no photography allowed. i did sneak my little sony camera in and was able to snap these. all in all, a pretty good day. enjoy ...
  20. my wife quite frequently gets asked to be an extra in movies and commercials that are shot here in the bahamas. she will actually be seen in the new james bond movie coming out in november. tomorrow we have both been asked to be extras in a new panasonic commercial featuring shakira. although i have never seen her, she resides only a few minutes away from us. my question to you is, what watch should i wear? it will of course be a panerai but which one ... a replica pam 029 from josh, a replica pam 036 from eddie, a replica pam 165 from king or my genuine pam 091 from shreve & co. i'm not quite sure the premise of the commercial, but i will do my best to get the watch some air time. i will take my camera along to catch some of the action ... i hope they don't mind, but it's a sony. i look forward to hearing back from some of you soon. all the best.
  21. may your addiction only get worse. welcome!
  22. it is constantly posted on rwg how poor the panerai date wheels are on reps. someone recently mentioned that if they had a scan of a genuine date wheel, that they might be able to make stickers to go over top of the current one. well ... here it is (see attached image below). i'm putting it out there for someone to step up and accept the challenge. i think it would be a great opportunity for someone and could be a profitable little side business. i only ask for 49%. lol. let me know what you think as i can not add any further knowledge into this. all the best.
