  1. did ya happen to catch a hockey game? i played my last year pro there in 2004.
  2. good advice sssurfer, i will try and do that. the only problem is finding a watchsmith on this small island that will work on reps. thanks!
  3. i bought the 7750 version, i think ... please explain? i still have not contacted the seller because the watch seems to be getting slightly better. i have been winding it and wearing it at night etc and it is holding a reserve of about 5 hours now. still not good but certainly better than 2 hours. i just can't be bothered trying to explain this to a dealer that cannot understand english very well. i have had great experiences with her in the past, simply because it was payment and shipment. but at the same time, there were no problems during these transactions. e-mailing back and forth for over a month is very frustrating. anyway, we'll see what happens. all the best!
  4. are there any datewheels for the 44mm asian 21j movements yet?
  5. i did a similar contest last year and legambleur won. once he has posted some ideas, you'll see why. my bet is on him and he hasn't even posted yet!!!
  6. i've had the watch for about one week, but it has had this problem the whole time. anyway, i think i'll take the advice here and contact her again. we'll see what happens?
  7. i got one from that same guy. ended up doing a deal outside of ebay for $30.00 shipping included. this is back when he was selling them for $60.00 or something. anyway, it is very heavy and works great! all the best.
  8. thanks r11co. i will look into these!
  9. me too actually! what model was it? i'm sure i could find it in a search. i am a panerai only guy but would be interested to see an up close picture of one!
  10. yes, it's official. i've got a lemon. but can i really ask the dealer to send me another replacement? please let me know your thoughts as the watch is even stopping when i am wearing it. it was for my wife, but i can't expect her to wear it when it doesn't even keep correct time! anyway, i'm disappointed but at the same time feel bad contacting the seller again. her english is very poor and it is hard to come to resolutions. what do you think?

    Trivia Time

"fifty mission cap" - the tragically hip.
  12. my wife and i went to the bahamas premiere last night. they had a special theatre for the bahamian cast and crew. my wife's scene made it in the movie! although it was very short, it was still pretty cool to see her on the big screen. she was one of the two girls sitting poolside during the night scene at the ocean club. i have to say, i was never a big fan of james bond movies but this one was awesome! daniel craig is is just one of those guys ... men want to be him and women want to be with him. here are a couple of shots before the movie. all the best.
  13. i had to make my own ... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=11386&hl=
  14. not a big fan ... but hey, sweet watch!
  15. i haven't wound the watch, and to be honest with you ... i didn't know you had to. i never did it with any of my other panerai's. anyway, the watch has run dead again. this time while on my wrist! my son and i were watching a movie and i just came in to see if anyone responded. it must have run dead while i was sitting down. anyway, i will wind the watch now and see what happens? thanks again.
  16. long story longer, a while back i purchased a pam 049 for my wife from king. the watch showed up and the date setting did not work properly. she agreed to replace it so i sent it back. due to a language barrier etc. the next one showed up a month later. now the replacement watch will only keep a power reserve of two hours. basically you can't even take it off to wash your hands or it will go dead. other than that the watch works fine. is there an easy fix for this, something that maybe i could do myself? i refuse to send it back again ... in fact i didn't even mention the second problem to her. if someone could shed some light, it would be appreciated! again it is a pam 049 with an asian 7750 movement. thanks and i look forward to hearing back from the experts soon. all the best.
  17. lol, it will be one of many. trust me!
  18. david's right ... we both owned a genuine 91 (see below) at one time. david sold his ... damn you david!
  19. my wife has a short pool scene in the film. we still don't know if her scene made it in the film but today we got an invite to the premiere in the bahamas. glad to hear it is getting good reviews as people in general like to criticize the new guy. all the best.
  20. lol, good luck with that one v. i'm not a big fan but that's the nice thing about watches ... everyone has their own tastes! all the best.
  21. i bought a cheap rep one time that came with an upside down crown guard. i unscrewed it and the holes didn't line up the other way so i had to put it back.
  22. not sure about those models, but my genuine 091 is thinner on the top of the lever than on the bottom. maybe it's the same for those?
