I am not sure. I bought the watch from a member. He said hands are a mix of gen Valjoux and Yuki. As the minute and hour hand are clearly Yuki I guess the subdial hands are from the donor watch and have been painted to match the 7032. Any tip on how to shorten the minute hand (file, cut?)?

ok, yes, you file it down with sandpaper, there is a member here and on RWI, HugoP, he did this mod. Im going to do this to my MC too.

    Indeed my friend. =)

I have my WSO 380 endlinks, but I have yet to receive my DW 7032.  Hopefully I will have better luck!  Might have to open them up a bit, if thats possible?

yes, thats possible, i might give it a try. Any pics of your DW7032? Do you by chance have extra subdial hands? ive been looking for the correct ones for ages.

I don't agree with the collectors on this issue. I think a redial would be nice on that watch- it looks like it had some water damage at one and two o'clock. I'd peg that watch as an early 60s or late 50s and I think it's probably a V23 movement. I'd call this a pre-Carrera model. I've got a couple of similar watches- V72s and I'd loved to restore one and keep one original

I ran across this watch on ebay with a restored dial- I think it looks nice and for a daily wearer, I see nothing wrong with restoring a watch.

I don't have anyone in mind for doing a redial, but maybe someone would come up on a google search.

Maybe this would be a start- http://www.watchdialrestoration.com/index.htm

Thx for the replies, I hope your comments with make him reconsider. In that case he just needs to get it serviced. Any recommendations on who could service it in EU?

For my vintage watches( gen rlx, yema ecc) I have had good experience with Harleysta91 a young Italian guy with lot of experience in vintage and with cheap price ;-) see on rwi Dolcevita Orologiaio.

    thx buddy :)

  5. Hi! One of my mates got a vintage Heuer from his father and he wants to restore it to its glory days. What do you guys would recommend? Reprinting the dial completely? Creating a new custom dial? Or just removing the bigger dents and relume? Any recommendations on who could do that work are also appreciated.

"Found this post, it looks like it will work though..."

The case reference number is not mentioned in the link.

"Does anyone know if a SA3135 or yuki will fit in a 16xxx dj case..."  if 16xxx means a 162xx DJ case, then the answer would be yes...if the movement and case are genuine spec.

Replicas and Frankensteins may be the cartoons of the watch world but a 6.35mm thick movement will still not fit into a case made for a 6.0mm thick movement.  No kiddin'.   :pimp:

its a 16013 case. I installed the movement into the case but the rotor doesent move if i screw on the caseback without the gasket. Dont know how much a gasket will add.

Agree, thats why I make my own stems for the SA3135 movements, the originals are too fragile for regular use.

yes, im considering doing my own too. Which one do u use as a base? Do gen hands fit a sa3135 btw?
