  2. Everyone that told me I was crazy for saying the edges looked polished owes me a massive apology!!
  3. Bon retour!ça fait plaisir de te revoir! Lots for you to catch up on!
  4. God I hope you're not taking potassium iodide, like too many naive americans on th west coast
  5. Firstly.. no watch will be guranteed to run longer than another watch without a service. In this game it's a crap shoot. If you want your watch to run well. get it serviced when it arrives. It's a worth while investment. Second. GREAT CHOICE! I love the new 005s I think stock is low on this model now. Should be coming back out soon though with new stock.
  6. Three-handed watches? why does who do what? Why do the gen companies make chronos?? I'm REALLy confused by your statement. Just look at your last sentence:... "I just remembered that the Montblanc Sport Chrono only comes repped as a chrono" . Of course it's repped as a chrono.. if it's a chrono watch. If it's a standard 3,6,9 chrono gen, chances are it uses a Swiss 7750 variant.. If it's a rep chrono, it uses A7750. Is there something wrong with the Asian 7750? I don't get what you're trying to say
  7. Yours certainly do look polished in the second photo...... why don't you ask the dealer to confirm
  8. Hey guys, Thanks to the great artwork of Thinkbachs over at RWI. They're organizing and international DSSD day, where all DSSD owners will wear there DSSD on Wednesday March 23 and take a picture with the correct day. Pics will be posted throughout the day to show just how much we love our DSSDs!!! Steps are simple: 1. Wear your DSSD on March 23, 2011 2. Take a picture of it with the correct date 3. Post the picture on the forum to show your love Who's in?
  9. is it available with bracelet???????
  10. sorry about your experience.. QC is indeed a much more cosmetic check..But it's also something that we're also lucky to have. A year ago, getting QC pics was virtually unheard of.. Over the last year dealers have caught on. Thanks to dealers like Eurotimez.. the norm has changed. With regards to your comment on the 7750 movement? What are you exactly talking about? The 7750 or 7753 movement is the only movement available for Chrono models. .. It's not because they want to use chinese movements.. but a chronograph movement is quite a bit more complicated than a standard automatic and is the only movement that you will find in Chronograph watches.. it's not normally found in non-chrono watches with the exception of the Chopard GTXL.
  11. NOW THAT IS A BEAUTY!! Tutima's former rep with grey dial (hope he doesn't mind me posting pics) This is a 1:1 model.. meaning.. gen parts are LIKELY to fit. Doesn't mean that gen parts are readily available though
  12. Just don't take as long as me Ambigg! I've been saying it for the last 3 years!
  13. let's get a pic of the thing!! with RWG's page up
  14. +5,000 The same goes for Carl(edit) and his 300-400 price range. A Swiss Valjoux 7750 can be had brand new from the factory for 300-350usd.
  15. take some pics when you get the case back off. It probably just needs a good servicing like 50% of all reps when they get to us! It could be that the movement is dry, over-oiled, dirty, etc..
  16. What exactly is a WIS? A wise-interesting-swede?
  17. All of them are reps.. the GEN is in the hand behind your back! You magic tricks won't work with me pete!
  18. Very simple. Ask the seller to scan you a copy of the packing slip. It should have your name and adress. I keep all of mine until the package arrives safely to the recipient. If you need more help.. I'm located in spain. Maybe I can contact the seller for you if needed.
  19. point taken. Have fun finding parts. My only gripe was that with the MYRIAD of information on the forum about thousands of watches out there. You tout this one as if it were your last desperate attempt at finally finding a watch that you actually like. The point was that plenty of watches fit your loose criteria. If you had just left it.. "I like this watch a lot".. I wouldn't have said anything.. but you angled your statement to make it seem as if you've never been able to find a watch that fits your criteria until this one.. Sorry to say mate.. In the history of watch making.. I'm sure there's more than 3 or 4 other breitlings in the world that fit your criteria. This thread has completely neglected other brands that also might meet your criteria.. but what's important is that you like it. Secondly, the way you non-chalantly mentioned that you have gen parts on the way for this random, not-too-accurate, breitling..really made it sound like you had high hopes for such a mediocre watch (as far as accuracy and quality for lots of our nice Breit reps is concerned). This watch doesn't even appear to have AR. Thus, your post gave me the idea that you were a wishful thinker and that you have ingenuity and access to parts that other people on this forum do not. Hence, my previous tone. If you got the watch and like it. Good, wear it in health. Just don't expect a lot of help when you post on the board. "Hey guys, where's the best place to get a gen dial for an incorrectly sized superocean?" Despite my rant, the watch isn't bad. Just nothing special, especially for the hopes you expressed. Enjoy it as is and post some nice wrist shots that we all appreciate . Cheers
