I've got some Westone UM-1's the most COMFORTABLE earphone I've ever owned. I had some Shure E2cs and some Shure SE210, and the UM1 beats both hands down. Best definition. I'm assuming it's got a similar soundstage to the etymotics as the UM1 aren't bassy at all. It's a single driver but has incredible range and separation. I've been through 3 pairs of shures. The cables on Shures splits after a while. It's quite annoying. The Westones are braided and very flexible. The smallest in-ear headphone I've ever used. I can even lay my head down and not notice them in my ears.

Point of this thread? Sounds like some ultra-frankens available in Vietnam... We have builders that will build you stuff like that here... Without pictures or proof, there's no point to this thread as it's pure speculation p.s. KB is just looking out for the well-being of our members

Most reps are solid stainless steel.. if your is chrome plated.. the quality must be really low... rechronming a brass case is probably more expensive than the cost of the watch itself. Pictures would be nice

When JKAY says ETZ-DSSD-V52010.. I think he means TREVOR-DSSD-V52010 Etz = Eurotimez, who is no longer a dealer here. So it could just add to the confusion by calling the new V5 an ETz version Since trevor is one of only 2 or 3 dealers that sell this version.. referring to his version as the Trevor V5 2010 Dssd is a little bit clearer. IN my opinion, the best version is Trevors. It looks the best and has the best endlinks (usually no gaps). http://www.trevor-watch.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=129 Despite his description, his version is not the so-called "ultimate" that other dealers are seling. For $225 you can't get a better DSSD at the moment... at least until the mythical V6 is in stock

Awesome!! Those edges certainly look polished. I don't know why everyone was saying that the edges weren't polished on the rep.... Any chances of a profile shot!???

On the contrary. Price is comnpletely dependent upon the person doing it. I get my watches serviced. A FULL servicing of a non-chrono automatic movement is about $40 if no parts are needed. A full servicing of a 7750 is between $45 and $60usd. I know The Zigmeister is the most saught after modder on the forum, but his prices aren't necessarily the norm throughout the world. p.s. I often use a very reputable modder on the board and he's always offered me very reasonable prices similar to the ones I stated above

ooouch.. that would bug the hell out of me. Especially on a new watch! You could attempt to brush it out, but it's a pretty rough looking edge there. Post something on the Audemars sub-forum maybe some AP fans out there have an extra bezel lying around.

Listen to what Pakz said. If you plan to modify movements in the future, go ahead and buy the ETA version of the watch from the start. The swap on this watch for an ETA wouldn't be easy. Some problems to be aware of trying to put a swiss movement into a watch designed for an asian 21j movement. If you were to attempt this, the most common ETA movement would proabably be an ETA-2824-2 movement. Not sure if it would fit or not, if it were to fit, you'd need some heavy modifications. -Hand size (the hands on your 2813 watch are designed to fit the hand post of a 2813 movement, An eta handpost/handstack will be a differrent size which means you'd have to source hands for a GEN ETA movement) -Datewheel (the datewheel on your watch is designed for a 2813/4813 movement, even if you buy an ETA with datewheel included, more than likely the 2813 datewheel won't fit the ETA datewheel). -Movement holder. (the movement holder in your watch is designed to fit a 2813/4813 watch.. not likely that an ETA 2824 will fit the same movement holder) If the watch is working, wear it, and enjoy it the way it is. The 2813's are not necessarily crappy. They're just not as robust as an ETA. The nice thing about the DG2813/4813 movements is that they're so cheap, if it dies on you, you can buy a new one from the factory for around 20 bucks. If the watch REALLY grows on you, buy an ETA version in the future and sell the 21j p.s. When we say 21j we usully refer to the 2813 or 4813 movement.. or any class of cheap movement produced in china that costs next to nothing.

First of all.. there's no such thing as an ETA 4813 The company that fabricates is named Dixmont Guangzhou.. and is responsible for MANY asian movements. Whenever we use the words ETA on the forum we are referring to the Company ETA. If we are referring to Asian ETA, it means that the movement is a COPY of an ETA complication. (in essence a replica movent) Your DG2813 is not ETA at all. Secondly, the cost of either the 2813 or the 4813 is extremely cheap. Both are cheap low-quality movements. They are essentially the same exact movement with different beats. In my honest opinion it's not worth the swap. The DG2813 is just as cheap as the 4813, so you shouldn't think that you got shafted with regards to the movement. Lastly, and probably of the most concern to you, these movements are readily available at ofrei (do a google search) or cousinsuk watchparts. Either movement shouldnt be more than about $20. I'm not sure about the swap, but I'd be most concerned about the datewheel, as the BR03 doesn't have a typical 3'oclock position date window. Might be difficult to find one that will fit. I guess of course you could always take the datewheel off the 2813 movement and put it on the 4813. In my opinion.. if you want a quality movment, you should have bought an ETA. The 2813 to 3813 upgrade is pointless unless your movement has died. just my 2 cents

Not necessarily a bad movement. The 3135 clone got famous when it came out a couple years ago because it's strikingly close to the real 3135 that GEN DSSD's have. There have been problems with the first gen 3135s being poorly assembled, but with a good servicing either movement is equally as reliable. I'd say stick with the 2836 solely for the price differenc. I think it's stupid that dealers are charging more for these 3135 movements, especially for a closed back model. If my watch is EVER with someone that i trust to open up the caseback... that person will obviously know that it's a rep beforehand. Functionally, both are workhorse movements designed to keep on ticking.. the difference being that the 3135 is a rolex design. The 3135 has 31 jewels and runs at 28,800vph. The 2836 has 25 jewels and runs at the same 28,800vph. This translates into a similar second hand sweep for both watches. With ANY watch from china.. it's always advisable to get your movement serviced as there's no guarantee that a swiss 2836 will come in better condition than an asian clone.

+1 Any country willing to sacrifice the well being of it's own people for sole sake of HUGE annual economic growth is willing to do a lot more than they'll ever let foreigners know. p.s. I'm referring to china's fixed exchange rate. If the rate fluctuated with the market, like all other currencies.. china's yen would be stronger than our dollar and lots of china would get out of poverty almost immediately... (obviously.. we'd all stop buying from china, but at least we know whose side their government is on.... )

I think it's just shadow To bead blast his case he would have had to removed the bezel and crystal..

I think it's funny, that the U.S. is led to believe this. It seems like news like this comes out about once a year. The number of people that are arrested for couterfeiting is as large as the chinese government says it arrested. Obviously, we NEVER see pictures, trials or the merchandise that police seize in China. More than likely, the government hasn't done anything but release a report and close a few websites. China REALIZES the importance of their huge counterfeit market on its economy. Show me the goods and the 3,001 people arrested.. and I'll believe it If this were to happen in the U.S. or Europe, the police would be posing with the contraband and putting on a press conference. But not in china! The government just "releases a report" :/

in hindsight.. maybe drug dealing was a bad example.. but in general.. if notes were kept about those kinds of things then 1/4 of southwest Atlanta (where I'm from)would be locked up. A near-homeless guy getting a $10 vial of heroine is not who the police or anyone in the legal system benefits from going after. Sure notes might be checked, but that's only if the drug dealer is stupid enough to have them written down. One of the first rules of drug dealing is no names and a good memory. Certainly writing things down is always bad (unless it's to calculate profits.. in that case... pure numbers and lots of code). I imagine any other illicit business is run in a similar fashion
