Firstly, WELCOME TO RWG!
You're here to learn.. So start reading buddy!.. after a week of reading here.. you'll realize the absuridity of your question
Guessing that technically the 212 is the most accurate of all, since the watch used to construct all three was a 212. (sure the factories don't have access to any of the older limited edition models like 253 and 286).
Correction Pabler. He didn't say the 286 is better, he said that he PREFERS the 286. I imagine the build quality to be roughly the same for all three watches. I, for example, prefer the look of the 253 over the 286, but it's purely personal. At this point, it's whichever watch you find more attractive, since quality will be the same for all
I guess I agree with Hike.. If it were a 7750, i'd say get it serviced regardless of how it's running.. but all of my non 7750's are swiss ETAs and have run spectacularly upon arrival.. granted, most of them have been serviced. In spain, you can get a non-chrono watch serviced for between 30 and 75 euros. (depending on who does the service)

GPS is cool... I wonder how the guy is getting it to work without the watch having a direct clear view to the sky above. He's only got one window open and gps needs several satelites in view to be able to triangulate your position.
Not sure you got me beat broham. My watch would still eat yours for breakfast.. Yours is cool and all, but I doubt it could take a baseball bat to the face Mine can
Besides that.. the GW7900b1 was named number 8 in Time Magazine's top 10 gadgets of 2009 Yours has got me beat feature wise.. but looks and pure brut force go to the GW7900b1
Doubt your bezel is 10 inches... but I know what you mean
When you say the paint is chipping from the bezel, do you mean that the white bezel paint is coming off or that the black ceramic is chipping? If it's the white paint, GIOARMANI made a great tutorial on how to repaint the bezel numbers.
The paint coming off of the caseback is normal. If you REALLY care about the caseback you can paint it with a nice matte finish grey paint yourself.
Yeah.. here's my beast .. It would eat all of your watches for breakfast
9 month solar charged battery, and Atomic clock calibration. Moon phase, tide graph, 31 time zones, chronograph, timer, 5 alarms, automatic illumination feature, and most IMPORTANTLY..
Will survive anything short of Nanuq's sick mind
Sorry tabularasa.... but in your 1 month here.. I feel left out of your comradery shower , I think this is my first exchange with you ever... Where's the love bro? haha... Comradery is fun, watches are better though. I'd trade my friendship with anyone of you a-holes for one of those shiny franken AP's from Sander.. haha
you do know that when tabularasa is talking about sons-of-bitches.. he referring to you..! No need to get too proud broham haha just playin!
You're forgiven if you give me your 253 for free......
hahaha.. Great work pete though seriously. You bring some real quality to this forum! Cheers bro, and good luck with the sale.. i'm sure it'll move fast
looks great.. but i wouldn't call it polished.. still quite brushed in my opinion. Albeit shinier than original. You should work it some more and see if you can't get a mirror shine with a polish wheel
