  1. damnit Pete... You got a 253 serviced.. and are selling it and didn't think to offer it to me! I've got one on the way anyways.. but I would've jumped on yours
  2. Panerais are finally competing with the likes of other super reps now Pete. Excellent as always
  3. thanks soo much pete.. you're the man. My request has been answered . Beautiful shot. You're right about the hobnail on the 286 though. Looks deeper and more matted than the 253, although it might just be your peice.. I recall seeing photos on RG and RWI of 253 dials that look a lot more pronounced and deeper hobnail. The lighting in this pic might also have something to do with the dial effect. For me the 253 is a much better looking piece but both are soo damn sexy.
  4. Nomad.. what leads you to believe this is a replica besides unclear photos ?? I've look a second time and i'm not sure there's anything screaming "replica" here...
  5. IS this a replica? the papers are filled out with stamps.. THEY at least look real...
  6. How about the "Bacon Franken": A franken watch with a nice sun faded dial
  7. amazing Sander. Great work. Wanna build me one !!????
  8. Catch recess is crucial if the desk were to be used as a watch work bench. Looks great.
  9. yeah.. at least mine were. took me about a week to figure it out, since gmail is pretty intuitive, i never would've guessed that they'd be in my spam box
  10. Great contribution! Awesome effort spiked not to mention nice watch
  11. maybe this explains why all of a sudden, all of my RWG notifications have been going to my spam box.
  12. thanks bro. So Maguiar's works? Any pics of the results?
  13. Go for it. Most are easy to get out. Without a press.. getting them in perfectly level and straight can be tricky but with a steady eye and even pressure.. it can be done
  14. Very impressive Pete. Thanks for sharing. Attention to detail was great. They even used correct dial ring that goes all the way to the edge of the tachy ring.. which is true to gen and slightly different than the 253.. which doesn't touch the tachy ring Very nice. and do we really have to ask for comparison pics!!??? Of course we'd love them! How about some group shots of the 212, 253 and 286 together . P.s. Could you get some caseback shots as well?????? pretty please!
  15. My advice is don't buy any reps in thailand (not known for any high quality replicas anyways). For your money, you'll get a lot better quality using the trusted dealers here and you'll get the goods delivered to your doorstep. It's also nice that you won't have to haggle for prices. (which is a HIGHLY overated experience in asia). Most asians are QUITE firm in their prices and hold their own against "westerners". Buying from dealers here gives you the benefit of a huge pool of buyers. Our forum acts as a "Union" of sorts that can negotiate with the dealers on behalf of all of us. We get great prices through our dealers as well as decent quality control. Something that you won't be able to do in thailand. You can't exactly open up a watch, inspect it to make sure it's properly regulated.. etc.. and then decide to buy. Here on the forum you can. My advice. Don't waste your time on crap reps in thailand. Use our trusted dealers and gain some peace of mind.
  16. The weirdest part is that it has orange pushers and a blue dial. Never seen that color combination before. There are normall three color combinations: 1. Blue Dial with white numeral, black bezel, black pushers 2. Blue dial with organ numerals, black bezel, black pushers 3. Blue dial with orange numberals, orange bezel, orange pushers Looks like a rep to me, but unless he puts some decent photos up.. i'm not sure
  17. In order to be sure, you'd have to compare your endlinks to the gen ones. A profile shot with calipers would do the trick. Ask another memember with a gen bracelet to measure the distance of the springbar hole to the edge of the steel. Do the same for the rep endlinks and if it's the same.. then The endlinks won't correct the issue. On the UPO, the endlinks make a significant difference. Besides that, there's no way you can modify the gap since it would basically require machining new endlinks from scratch. It's an error I can live with though. The gap isn't as big as you think it is, and the fact that you think about it constantly makes it seem a lot more obvioius than it normally would appear. I myself am saving up for a Gen 45.5 PO bracelet and hope to have one at some point in time!
  18. email Josh at perfect clones Putting time constraints on a replica watch is never a good idea.. I wouldn't be too hopeful about getting the watch before March 5th. Customs can also be an issue. One time customs held my watch for 2 weeks before releasing it..
  19. One year of collecting and you've bought around $20,000usd worth of replicas??? The cartel must love you
  20. I just bought it guys. It's real right?
  21. Update.. NEW V5 253 has been ordered.. This review will be updated once I receive the new version
  22. First of.. the dealer is the last place i'd ever trust to waterproof any watch. Always better to test yourself before trusting the dealer. With as many loose casebacks, loose screws and missing o-rings that many of our watches come with... I'd be VERY cautious about taking our dealers for their word that their watches are waterproof. The PO should be fine. If you want to get it pressure tested see if a watchsmith neaer you has the appropriate equipment to do so. In any case, I don't think that the PO he valve not sitting flush has to do with waterproofness.. The important thing is that it's airtight when screwed downa and has the appropriate gaskets greased on both the valve, crown, and caseback. If you really want to make sure the HE valve is safe, epoxy it shut from the inside of the case so that there is no possibility of water entering
  23. one of the ugliest pieces i've ever seen from breitling.. Honestly though In any case, I wish you luck in that the factories rep it for you!
  24. Well hello pete! good to have you back broham I agree with Pete.. Not the most accurate pams available
