  1. Only $135: Watchinternational
  2. $245 is a good price. Mary sent an email saying she ordered the right one and should have it tomorrow/today/hopefully soon. She's 8 hours ahead of me so it's hard to keep track of "today" and "tomorrow." I'm sure she'll sort it out.
  3. The search box should be upper right corner, right below the drop box with your screen name on it. As far as I can tell, VIP membership allows you to sell here. I used to think you couldn't see the dealers collectors without being a contributing member, but I'm not sure now. I was browsing the collector section before I chipped in. Also, if you upgrade, they'll stop hounding you to upgrade. It's worth it, and can be had for only $15. If you go Platinum, for $100, you can curse in your posts and one of the admin will stop by and give you a massage. There's one admin on each major continent, except Africa, so you're likely to be covered.
  4. True. What I need is a straight-on shot. At least. Josh's ETA-clone is $248 + 25 + 65 (rubber band) = $338 I'm saving $100, and it should be the same watch as Josh's. I would not be doing any modding like this myself. But if I really like it, I would be willing to pay someone to switch out the parts and give the movement a service. "You're"
  5. She hasn't shipped it to me yet as she says she's having trouble sourcing a good rubber strap. She did say she would source me a "Ultimate" PO. I've sent her an email requesting she get the right one. She didn't give me a straight on pic, but you can see in the 2nd pic the HE valve is too low.
  6. Thanks everyone for the input. @Dems: $235 w/the rubber band as well. ETA-clone.
  7. With the talk about misprinted dials on the black/white version of the current batch of UPOs, I thought I would post these pics to get opinions. This is the watch Mary has purchased for me. (I'm still waiting on the rubber strap, which she is having trouble locating for some reason.) I think the HE valve is too low and the second hand isn't long enough. Pics from Mark: (I always thought it was a nice touch when Ruby would write your name on a slip of paper and include it with your watch photo. That way you knew she wasn't using a stock pic.)
  8. Rep. Not "2:10" but the rep substitute of 1:49. Real scientific guess, eh?
  9. It looks like Watcheden has lowered the prices of some reps, and then you get the $20 off as well. For instance, the DateJust II someone reviewed here, the one with the black MOP dial, sapphire crystal, etc., can be bought now for $98. Shipped. Pretty good deal. Josh sells what appears to be the same watch for $118, which is also very good considering you get his excellent follow-up service for $20 (plus shipping).
  10. The ETA movements in Rolex reps beat either 6 or 8 times per second. Look for 28,000 or 21,600 bpm, the 28,000 being the 8 ticks per second speed, same as the genuine Rolex. "Asian ETA clone" movements also beat at 8 times per second. Most Asian 21J movements beat at 6.
  11. Modded 127 (sold) 111 183 Skyland V1 DSSD V3 (sold) WM9 V2 LV Sub Pilot homage (sold) SOSF (sold) Couple others I forgot.
  12. They got pills for that now. Medium starch for me. the 100% cotton shirts end up too stiff and some of the blended fabrics too soft.
  13. If you're not too picky, nice affordable PAMs can be had. This one cost me $99 plus shipping: On my HK Tan gator strap: Sure it has flaws, but $99? You can pick up a decent strap for under $40. I liked this one so much that I had it lumed. That's the only mod, though.
  14. Yes. I've nothing but good things about them, so far.
  15. Do NOT pull on the crown. Slip your finger under the bracelet, behind the crown and gently lift.
  16. Much debate about this lately. Unless the dealer you're buying the watch from "guarantees" that you will get a genuine ETA movement, you will likely get an Asian clone movement, or a hybrid. Watches you buy from BK are going to be gens. Everyone will have their personal opinion, but I buy the Asian clone when given a choice. I just ordered the watch you're getting, and it will come with an Asian clone movement. Both can be serviced and spare parts are available for both.
  17. Extra $100 to the board if the problem remains on Demsey's computer...
