  1. Get well soon Neil, sounds like its a good old hot toddy for you Merry Christmas
  2. Dont know if this would work, but what about gently squeezing together the opposite end where the clasp meets the bracelet. should give the same result
  3. couple of pics of PT`s eta version I love this watch, gets most wrist time out of my collection I have a gen blue /ss bezel version and side by side they are very close. difference in size of 3 o`clock marker is most obvious, date window seems ok, more square than on Neils version. thickness wise ,without measuring, much the same Cheers Colin
  4. Well that certainly got a reaction I had e-mailed, Andrew whom i`ve dealt with on a few ocassions and he didnt voice any concerns other than to make sure I posted a review. I understand everyones`s concern hence the reason the description was vague. My apologys to all concerned. hopefully the nervous tics will settle down @ Bill Ah so you have been there too Best regards Colin.
  5. I could be wrong but i think the full title of this model is... Breitling Windrider Chronomat Evolution Caliber 13 44mm by 17 Check out this site www. tagwatchesdirect.co.uk I know its a Tag site, but its got the most complete Breitling collection I`ve come across Just received a Steelfish X plus from them, white/cream dial on brown calf strap dont know if you could call them grey dealers but you get everything that you would from an AD Hope this helps Colin
  6. Check out the box sets if they supply as per description it doesnt seem a bad price in fact its a great price given free shipping No PP tho` usual WU or MB I was really tempted by the omega set filled in an order about a week ago, didnt send any money to see how long it would take for them to get in touch still waiting looks like another one to avoid Cheers
  7. Thought you guys might have an opinion on this site www.yinmax.com
  8. Contacted Breitling UK about a steel bracelet for a Steelfish X plus 44mm They replied quite quickly, and quoted £270 retail from any AD Might be worth a try as Iwould have thought a leather/deployment would have been cheaper given that any steel braclet model is usually more expensive than the equivelant strap version. Hope this helps
  9. count me in for a black/braclet if its not too late cheers colin
  10. Hi Neil My profuse apologies, these are new arrivals in my collection However, I will get on it asap, I had forgotten to post pics of your two most recent deliveries. Pass muster ? I`m sorry but the quality of your watches is beyond compare At least you were gentle with me cheers Colin
  11. here are the pics as promised. Blue from PT White from Josh Glashutte from Narikaa Beautiful watches, superb service, can it get any better
  12. Both correct @category5 Great call on the movement it is indeed an 0s10 All subdials work, running secs @6...minutes@9 and 24hr @3 also working hack function waterproof.............like a caulender Manufactured by C. HING Co. China japanese movement, chinese dial Ive had this for nearly six years, and it has performed without fault even after being flooded due to some bath diving. 1 battery change is the only maintenance apart from a good dry out. Got it at Inca market in Majorca for the costly sum of £25. (after a good barter session down from £100 !!!!!!!) The market is a classic ,"looky looky mister you wanna buy a watch" place with mostly leather pottery and watches This watch is the first rep I ever purchased being some 5 yearsbefore I discovered RWG/RWI now im poor ! Out of interest does anyone have any idea as to which model this piece is loosely based on ? Thanks for looking
  13. Nice to see some Tag fans and as you say these watches are vastly underated by most watch officianados Sad really, as there are some very nice pieces out there. Ihave a gen carrera chrono, silver face caliber 16 The main reason for posting is to get you guys opinion on this piece rep or gen , approx age version etc ... I`ll call it the Tag Test have fun
  14. A couple of pics of this gen I got it 11 months ago form a uk company Blitz Watches An unauthorised dealer so able to offer discounts anything between 15 and 40% - cost me £1240 with 20% ($2244.00 approx) All docs supplied except warranty card because of grey dealer issues, but Blitz supplies its own 2 year warranty. Its a caliber 16 movement, smooth as silk 40mm dia ex crown and 15mm thick, it seems to have more presence because of the thin bezel. Flyback sweep second hand with running secs at nine, 30 min at 12 and hrs at six Clasp is twin push button with brushed s/s bracelet and polished chrome highlights either side of center links Quite a heavy piece given its size, but my favourite gen. I really wanted a black version but at the time they were apparently like rocking horse sh*t so This was my second choice (its murder being impatient ! Now there must be at least 12 versions including an all black inc bracelet. Enough gabbing, here we go and thanks for reading BTW this watch was a pig to photograph it picks up every reflection and colour cast within 100 feet !! ( my excuse anyway ) Cheers
  15. My trio of seiko`s Some of dive watches available now are stunning but I think I could only justify the money if I was diving profesionally, ie treating the watch as a tool required to do the job rather than an expensive fashion accessory. Not that I would say no if one was to drop into my lap Great thread, surprised more members have`nt posted here though
  16. Good Man You wont be disapointed I love it so much I got 2 !!! and stuck a brown strap from Joshua on one still looks class. cheers
  17. Here`s a couple of pics for you not the best in the world but will let you get an idea. Go for it, its a hunk of watch for the money usual mistake of 3000/300m difference front to back the bezel ratchet isn`t the best, and correct me someone if I`m wrong, but I think the seawolf was only made in titanium, but all very forgivable given the beauty and simplicity of the watch 45mm across the bezel, 48 inc crown and 16mm thick swiss eta and a definite AR coating. Dont know the weight, but you definately know your wearing it Hope this helps good luck with your decision Cheers Colin
  18. Don`t know if All smp`s have this problem, got this from PT about 4 months ago, in comparison to the 2 gen`s i have the alignment seems ok. The wave pattern is spot on, the only problems are no AR, Crown is a bit oversize and the pearl protrudes just a fraction too much. Here`s a couple of quick pics
  19. All a matter of taste really, although I still haven`t seen a pic of this watch that does it justice. Buy one and see What I have noticed is, on the maroon Gt, the tip of the second hand is really hard to pick out because of the colour clash, might have worked better if the second hand had been longer and/or a different colour.
  20. Thanks guys for all the comments, appreciate it its 48 mm across the bezel and 52 mil to crown !! Don`t know about the weight as I said heaveeee @coolfire here you are ! Thanks again guys bty just posted in dealer review... new GT fro TTK cheers
  21. Some quick pics of Bentley from Andrew large, heavy, and very very pretty. Tried to show missing cross on `t` - it really is`nt a problem, Engraving on case and Bracelet is a lot deeper than normal Bezel action is really smooth, crown also screws in and out smoothly with little chance of wrong threading. Looking beyond the bling effect, it just feels as if some extra care and attention has been taken in putting it all together Cheers Colin
  22. Just received the white version from Andrew, re the inscription, you really have to be up close and personal to notice the problem, and compared to some of the flaws on other reps this is really minor. I was concerned before the watch arrived after reading some other posts regarding the missing cross on the t`s but after seeing it- no worries. I really woudn`t be put off by this , its a cracking piece. Regards Colin
  23. Add 10 + 2 in transit thats 1243 !
  24. Some quick pics of yellow SW from Andrew (Trustywatchguy) 6 days from payment to receiving watch ! The new system Andrew is using seems to be really good. regards Colin
