  2. not exactly what your after but.. tag also watchfinder.co.uk blowers-jewellers.co.uk not had a chance to look but usually plenty good stuff available
  3. only for 4 links from the clasp to allow for sizing, rest is flexible mesh. no wories about strands of wire poking out or anything like that, very well constructed. easy to adjust. one screw only on the 3 0`clock side, remove link and reinsert screw, brilliant!
  4. got this a couple of months ago, its a class act both in style and design, the bracelet must be the most comfortable steel bracelet out there hope these pics help, not the best cause i`m in a rush atm cheers
  5. did`nt realise we had started driving on the right
  6. check this out Visit My Website
  7. 1st class review Andrew. I had considered this rep but I think I`ll hang on a while to see if the factories sort out the back and pearl problems The back on the gen looks like it has been stamped from the inside, and as you say the rep isnt remotely close great post, thanks for the effort
  8. Try here http://www.watchfinder.co.uk/breitling-watches.aspx Same as supplied on the gen I got a while back scroll down, middle item second from bottom
  9. Hi Redroom This problem is quite common, the generel opinion seems to be to use some form of thread locking compound like loctite. hope this helps
  10. Your right, the only disapointment was the relatively poor lume, however it seems to be a common thing on Breitlings as the gen steelfish i have doesnt exactly light up the world either. dont get me wrong . give them a sniff of daylight and up they come, but as you say staying power is poor.
  11. Wrist shots as promised Thanks for all the comments
  12. it feels great on the wrist. it is a reletively heavy piece, however when I first opened the box, first thought was this is a real muscle builder, then on taking it out was surprised as to its actual weight being lighter than it appeared. the ar is superb, at most angles there`s no crystal!!! will post the wrist shots tomorrow
  13. It is a gen, courtesy of an Inland Revenue refund @ Estaban, will do a wrist shot for you tomorrow, currently trying to redo all invoice templates and stuff after pc went phut!! Could be a long night
  14. Had this for a couple of weeks now, but had to try out the new camera so here are a couple of pics. Is it or isn`t it ?
  15. It would be hard to find more bang for your buck Seiko divers are unbeatable Just my opinion
  16. Not that I`m going to say I told you so ! Just read the other post and to be honest I never noticed at all, even when comparing the two on Friday choosing what one to wear to a dinner invitation.
  17. Try `Auction prize from schulzie` in the Breitling area Cheers Colin
  18. Hi Longshot superb watches, intersting day/date on the top 2 I take the day runs from 1 through 7
  19. Thanks Chris that model is SHCO63P1 it originaly came on the Seiko rubber dive strap which I swapped for the steel bracelet on the blue version
  20. Just seem to have this bug for chunky dive watches Seikos have got to be the best bang for buck out there, and not many brands come close to matching the Lumibrite glow.
  21. looks like the accuracy of the dimensions are spot on just swapped out the leather strap on my gen SF for the steel bracelet that came with the rep. Perfect fit, spring bar location perfect, curvature round case and over horns of the end links are spot on. thickness of end links is also good, no fighting, drilling or buffing, just slipped right in. Was quoted
  22. MOVEMENT: Asian Valjoux 7750b1 Automatic (Working Chronos) is the 28800 bpm movement.
  23. Hi Maxse Its not a button ! its a helium escape valve apparantly its purpose on the gen would be to equalise pressure on the inside of the watch after saturation dives. do a search, there`s been 2 or 3 interesting discussions on this topic from members a lot more knowledgable than me. enjoy your new purchase Cheers Colin
  24. Hi Turdly Stopping the sweep hand between 10 and 2 limits the amount of strain on the hand pivot and reduces the risk of the hand becoming loose and not re-setting properly. ALWAYS START and STOP using the TOP pusher, bottom pusher for reset only. NEVER try to re set whilst hand is moving. Cant stress these details enough, if you want to have a long and problem free time with your watch. best regards Colin
  25. Hi Turdly basically simple , unscrew crown........ winding position pull crown to first click.....date set pull crown second click ......time set push crown back in until it wont go any further, it will feel springy, push a little while screwing up the crown, sometimes its better to turn crown slightly anti clockwise till you feel the thread seat itself then screw up normally. Go gently as you dont want to wrong thread it and strip the threads on the crown tube. Chrono.... second hand at 9 runs all the time when the watch is wound. to start the sweep(large) second hand, push the top button once to stop the sweep hand press the top button again. to re-set the sweep hand and sub dials to zero press the bottom pusher, only use the bottom pusher for reset NOT for stopping and for longevity only reset when the sweep hand is between 10 and 2 Hope this helps you enjoy your new purchase cheers Colin
