  1. I like the steel embedded combo... looks good!
  2. We will keep them in our prayers. I am glad that I bought watches. I hope the money helps those business operators and their neighbors, friends and families and strangers.
  3. Hello all, I ran across this site in an article in Cigar Aficionado (April, 2008); interesting article, more interesting website. The site is multi-lingual and well maintained. It may give you some ways to enhance your watches as the pictures are well detailed. Website link here (fabricegueroux.com) Regards, Wiss
  4. Someone said it earlier... Disposable income = Purchase what you want when you want. Anything else is a lack of self control, USA, Italy, or where ever. There is a reason you don't pee yourself everyday... Self control. Spending is no different. Even if the banks come calling, don't do it; have self control. We can all live within our means it is just that society has made living outside of it acceptable.
  5. Nice. Do you still like it? Anything you would have done different, (different model, etc.?)
  6. Hope everyone is doing well tonight! I ran across this news article and thought how tragic. It is on a different level than this forum but it still shows the risks of the hobby. In any case, it could have been anything, (just happened to be thugs dealing in replica watches)
  7. Thank you for the pictures and details. I hope to be able to contribute to this board at that level one day! Thanks again!
  8. Read the forums. No one is going to hold your hand as we dont work on commissions here...
  9. But changes for the 50th Anniversary Sub? It is supposed to be a single run...that ended up staying in production. I understand the thought behind the other subs, it makes sense; but not on a commemorative item, that would spoil it, no?
  10. I have noticed different collectors have different faces for the Submariner LV (50th anniversary edition
  11. No bracelet... Well, the one with it was blue and red nylon or something and was gunk-ed up. The clasp was greenish from water or moisture. It looked like it was brass at one time.
  12. Thanks, I was looking on Antiquorum to see if I could find one like it. I have no idea of the age or history of it. Any Omega experts who may wish to add their thoughts, I would appreciate it!
  13. So here is the short story. I was talking to my neighbor about watches when he said he has one from his Dad that he was going to sell on eBay. He digs out of a box in his garage and pulls out an Omega SeaMaster and says he thinks he can get $200 for it. I have always liked the look of the antique watches and offered him $100 on the spot. After a little talking, the deal was done and it now has a new owner. It runs fine but I did not wind it much than just to see if it works, (as I suspect it is dry as a bone). I took it to my watch smith and he valued it at $2,000 on the cleaning invoice. Who is right? Apologies for the bad pictures... Is it worth: $100 $200 $2,000 I think for $100 I got a good deal as I suspect it is authentic. Add to it $125 for oil and cleaning so I am now into it for $225
  14. When spending $20K whats a little shipping and insurance? *Or* it is how the rich stay rich... (nickel here dime there). I wonder what he spent in total on the collection and what he/she is now going to get for it? They say you have to have money to make money. It seems that way in this case...
  15. Andrew has always come through for me. Good quality and GREAT communication. WISS

    Odd thing

All great replies and I have to agree. So I totally agree with the
  17. There is a jeweler in the Dallas Texas area who will service Replica watches. That in itself is no big deal, (nice to have). I brought my Submariner in for a cleaning and oiling. He was very impressed with the Submariner from Andrew and wanted to show me his own line of watches. Here is the shocking part. The watches were Rolex replicas with his name on the face. I mean they had no Rolex markings, but the
  18. I have used CC with Andrew and no issues. It comes under a software name or something on the monthly statement... Again, no issues.
  19. Pressure test. If you are in the States, call around to watch repair / jewelry repair stores and ask if they service or pressure test replica watches. I have found in Dallas 1 out of 3 will. They call it a "generic watch" and service is $$95 for a maintenance and oil; $55 for a pressure test. But the bracelet is still no fun. I hope the dealer's name doesn't start with "A" Wiss
  20. Just curious, why would a vintage watch have a new hologram sticker on the back??
  21. At first I was thinking you were talking about the watch. THen I saw the girl. yep, sickening...
  22. One day, I'll get to that level of 'modding.
  23. In the USA that spelling would be said as: "AIR RUN" for a male and "AIR RIN" for a female.
