  1. I recently read an article about incomes in China, Shanghai and other Asian countries. Then it hit me! Let's say a dealer here on the board sells 10 watches every day (I know they have more channels to sell their watches and they probably sell more) but let's say on average 10 per day. I also read in the Guangzhou report (here on RWG) about the $95 Rolex Daytona .... so let's say that the average profit on a watch is $100,- (and again I know it's a lot more). If we do the math: 10 watches * $100 = $ 1000 (each day!) .....* 25 days (taking into account some days off ) = $25,000!!!! Compare that against the average monthly income in China (around $100~150 max.). And don't forget this is an underestimation. Personally I think the monthly income could also easily hit the $100,000 With this kind of money involved I do think our dealers are millionaires (even if it's only relative).... they earn an average monthly salary with one watch! What do you guys think?.... thoughts, insides, opinions?
  2. Yes great initiative!... I find it great that you are perfectionizing this baby!
  3. Why not buy the damn thing... you're obsessed by this watch BT Besides that it's only Euro 1200,- new (high discounts through Internet) ... no need to wait for the rep IMO!
  4. Everytime I get worried Angus makes me feel warm and fussy inside .... Everything is gonna be alright!
  5. Let's hope so too... I have all the confidence in Angus. He is a great guy and a plearue to deal with. He will take care of all his customers. The only problem I see is the poor Quality Ceck (as always)... If I decide to order the Evolution I will do a full review a la Bentley GT (see my signature).... that's if!... because I'm reading more and more bad reviews about the Hublot Big Bang from Angus.
  6. Nice... you lucky bastard!
  7. Great Review.. I once almost bought this watch but then the Chrono version came out. If I were you I would buy me a Dremel (keep the receipt) polish the bezel with some Brasso and return the Dremel
  8. Great!! The Bentley is one of the best reps out of the box! Enjoy!
  9. Great!!!.... you pushed me over the edge! I just transfered the money by PayPal. Hope to see some pics of the finished product soon so I can give the GO or NO-GO!
  10. Indeed I share your opinion. I too am waiting for some descent pics before I buy this version. The deadline for the pre order is too fast... So far I really think the 2nd generation with some AR applied to the crystal is the best alternative for me...I know there are some minor improvements on the 3rd gen but there also a lot of new (major) issues created....
  11. Hate to say it but the 2nd gen bracelet looks much better...serial# engraved, clasp fold writing much crisper. Also the end link on the 2nd gen appears closer to the real deal (more bend mid links and screws instead of pins). Too bad there's no pic of the actual clasp (only a side view)! No improvement on the bracelet IMO!
  12. Now that the new Evo is out (Angus version).. I really think this gen (the 2nd) is better!.... appart from the AR and date font. The SS bracelet for example is much better constructed on this version. I know there are still no descent pics of third generation (the finished product)..... but to me, the overal quality and finish just appears to be better on this version. Can't describe exactly why though.
  13. Than it's crappy AR... I've no problems with my double sided AR gen Breit
  14. GREAT ANGUS! I would prefer to see some pics of the SS bracelet before jumping in... there are still too many questionmarks. They look great but I 'm still not convinced if they're really better than the 2nd gen (apart from the AR.)
  15. Did the ULTIMATE suffer from the same problem?... what is the best way to straighten them? Thanks!
  16. I think it all depends on your own standards... My Omega SMP Chrono which came from TTK ('cherrypicked') had a chipped pearl, slipping stem, scratches on the lugs and a bad clasp spring. The moral of the story?... no need to pay extra $ for the cherry picking IMO!!! It's a role of the dice..... dropshipped, cherrypicked.. it's all the same, you just need a little luck!
  17. Look here: http://www.marktplaats.nl/ Search in the upper right corner for Franck Muller... there is a gen Conquistator listed for Euro 350,-.. no papers.
  18. I'm curious to know which Evo is really better... this version or the upcomming 'Angus' version. Both will have flaws that's for sure but which one will have the least (or better least flaws that bother me)... looking forward to a comparison!!
