  1. A friend of mine got his brand new Breitling Evolution yesterday. Bought it at a local AD. When he showed it to me. I immediately saw the jerky chrono second hand (trained eye :p ).

It bugged the crap out of him!

Went back to the AD, showed it to the salesperson. He said: wear it 24 hours with running chronograph, then see what it does. 24 hours later no improvement. I did some reading in The Zigmeister's articles and saw that this problem was caused by a bad tilting pinion (at least in the Asian 7750s).

Again went back to the AD and said there was no improvement what so ever. The second hand still jumps like a quartz. Now the Evolution is back on his way to the importer or Grenchen.. I don't know.

    Damn is he dissapointed

Moral of the story: Asian 7750, ETA7750 or Caliber 13... all great movements but you need a little luck!

  2. Firts of all, this is the wrong section to post this type of questions.

Second, what the heck are you talking about? All dealers sell the same Bentley edition (7750 that is). The subdial markings are dead on. The only thing that's wrong with the subdials is the switch of the 9 and 3 o' clock subdial. This due to the valjoux 7750 chrono lay-out.

The one you're showing (supposidly from PT) looks like a cheap Asian one without functioning subdials.

Look here for the best Bentley edition or take a look at my review of the Bentley GT (see my signature).

  3. A friend of mine is a student and works in a super market in his spare time. He doesn't have a car and goes everywhere on his raggedy old bicycle.

He just bought a Euro 4000,- new Breitling Chronomat Evolution two tone. He is a harcore watch addict!!!!

Cars and clothes don't say jack [censored] about the authenticity of a watch.

    ~my 2 cents~
