Wanna hear my joke? Used Puretime's 'Live support' for the first time yesterday. Thought I would get an answer within seconds as the 'on-line' indicator was on. But...nothing live about that tool as I'm still waiting on a reply. I believe it is a regular online question form. Nothing 'live' about it.
Now THAT's some funny
You're probably referring to the escape wheel. Did you take the bridge of you said? Please make a picture of the movement and the state it is now in. That will help me, help you
99% sure it's the pallet fork. Look if the 2 screws that are holding the bridge of the pallet fork are tightened like they should. If they are loose and the fork get's a little play it will result in the issue you're describing. That or a loose pallet stone in which case it's hard to fix yourself.
Good luck!

This could very well be the case. Take a look at the movement en tell us what happens to the balance when you turn the movement. Does it stop immediately, does it stop slowly or does it keep turning but only small swings?
Most likely the problem lies with the gear train. Probably dirt or debree got in between the teeth making it impossible for the gears to turn. That's why the energy from the main spring isn't transferred to the pallet fork and thus balance. If that's the case there's no other option than taking it apart for a clean.
One last thing you can do is make sure no screw or something got loose and is stuck in the gear train. Take a look with a loup under the bridge where the escape wheel is located. No weird things in there?
