Some watches are meant to be small imo. The Sub is one of them. The same applies to cars. The Mini Countryman????.....

No. A7753 will fit but the date will not line up.

Keyless is a mess on SA3135 and even for experienced watchmakers a nightmare. Forget spare parts.

Well, I bought a non-working ETA 2846 on eBay. I used it to practice disassembly and cleaning. I've got it all back together and it works. Although, it gains about 6 minutes over 24 hours. I tried regulating it myself and now it's down to 4 minutes fast per 24 hours. Soooo, there isn't much else that I think I'm going to be able to do with it and it's in need of someone more experienced than I.

Can anyone recommend someone that services ETA movements at a reasonable price? The few people I've found local to all want $200 or more to just do a basic cleaning. If parts need replaced, it's higher.

$200 is cheap. Just too expensive for you. You get what you pay for. You clearly have no clue how much time, effort and knowledge is needed to perform a good service. Sure you can get a $50 swish-and-dip service. But that is not the same. The time and effort needed does not hold any relationship whether the watch is gen or rep. So justifying such a price is difficult for some.

Keyless works. Find a watchmaker.

So what. Get over it. With more than 5K posts and as an old time vet you should know better. There were times QC pics did not even exist and you never knew what was going to turn up on your doorstep. This is all part of the rep game. It's a small fix...compared to a scratched dial or hands that could turn up in the past.

ETA tells you were to oil. Not how much. You are over lubricating. You are on the right track and practice makes king. Keep it up!

If it is a watchmaker just ask him for a way to reduce the friction of the running seconds and transfer gears so that it has a stable amplitude. He knows what to do. You don't instruct your car mechanic on how to change the pistons in your engine do you?....

Point is that the gen isn't suited for swimming either. So although it sounds a bit harsh: jumping in the water with a Navi is plain stupid. No blame on any dealer here.

These are normaly production overruns. The genuines are produced in China too. Sometime they produce some extra cases and parts and insert some hybrid parts afterward. We have seen this before on the D&G touch and Oakley watches.

Mine came in today. 1x rollerball and 1x fountain. Smooth transaction from start to finish and great quality and feel. I never handled a genuine MB but these sure feel great in the hand.

I never owned a fountain pen an I like the tip so I will keep it. I'm selling the other one. New with the silicone tip still in place to prevent drying out. Shoot me a PM.

All our rep hands are brass and are either gold or chrome plated. Polish them, use a glass fiber pen and the brass will shine through in no time!

Acetone, a small screwdriver a loupe and a steady hand is the only way to go.

PS: the second movie shows a sloppy lume job IMO.

Thanks, I got two cheapos from Reg too, but the steel turned brass and the cap wasn't air tight making my gen roller ball cartridge dry out...
