  2. good PAM rep is when for $300-500 you get quality very close to the gen. wear it and enjoy.
  3. Congrats!! what watch is this going into?
  4. Rolli, your work is an inspiration for many of us. Thank you for sharing this with us!!!
  5. prices pls?
  6. TTK, i know.. your biggest money maker is most likely cheap $90 asian rolex...unfortunately most people dont have good taste. but can a guy dream?
  7. this watch is an acquired taste, not for average Joe I guess:)
  8. Vic and Pug, thanks for your support! Now we need to convince some factory to do this rep.... i wonder if they browse rep forums...hmmm
  9. Ok, May be i am overexagerating, but i think it would be a very popular rep, especially if it is as good as some other radiomirs I really like this PAM 292, it would be a very nice addition to my Rad 183. What do you guys and gals think ? :
  10. go to paneristi web site if you'd like to educate yourself about PAM models. They got great PAM referenceguide with pics and other useful info. In the accessories section you can buy some really nice straps (which may cost as much as this watch good luck with your "new" aquisition!
  11. NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- If your boss wants to transfer you to Moscow this year, he'd better offer you a fair sum to do so - or even a downright handsome one depending on where you live now. That's because Moscow has just been designated the world's most expensive city for the second year in a row by Mercer Human Resource Consulting. Using the cost of living in New York as a base, Mercer determined Moscow is 34.4 percent more expensive after taking into account the cost of housing, transportation, food, clothing, household goods and entertainment. World's most expensive cities 2007: 1. Moscow 2. London 3. Seoul 4. Tokyo 5. Hong Kong 6. Copenhagen 7. Geneva 8. Osaka 9. Zurich 10. Oslo 11. Milan 12. St. Petersburg (Russia) 13. Paris 14. Singapore 15. New York City 16. Dublin 17. Tel Aviv 18. Rome 19. Vienna 20. Beijing http://money.cnn.com/2007/06/15/pf/most_expensive_cities/
  12. This is a real piece of art!!! Congratualtions and Happy New Year!!!!
  13. gens will never loose their value. period. the prices are actually going up ! also, have you seen CD prices (legal copies) go down in the past 15 years?? in the next 10-20 years most of the factories making reps in china will be closed as china becomes more and more legit. this is a natural process, a number of countries are going through this right now.
  14. As little as $25 can change persons life in South america, Africa or Asia.... Here in the states we can easily spend $50 just on coffee in Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks... check this out: www.kiva.org
  15. i do not understand this.. did we forget history all of the sudden? We all ARE foreigners here in the states (unless you are native american, which i dont think you are).
  16. what do you expectfrom fake gold?? of course it will wear off...
  17. I think that the same can be said about USA as well... Being American is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, then travelling home, grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV. And the most British thing of all?...Suspicion of all things foreign! Only in USA do supermarkets make sick people walk all the way to the back of the shop to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front. Only in USA do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries and a DIET coke. <--- USA is really where it all started!
  18. if you are planning to keep watch for such a long time - get an eta movement. $150-200 difference in price over the period of 5-10years is nothing... later on, say 5 years from now, if you want to replace your broken asian mov, the eta mov may be not available (out of poduction) or really rare and expensive or at least more expensive than now... regarding your 7750 question - if it is stored properly (not humid environment) and lubricated nothing horrible will happen to it in 2 years, especially if it just sits and not running...
  19. Guys do you know how much it costs to service omega chronograph movement? Val 7750 runs around $500 to service here in the states..
  20. i fill ya, you put down probably around 3K and expect everything.. but in reality it is a 30 years old watch that you cant really take out for a swim or just enjoy it cuz you are always worried that its gonna get scratched/damaged/ or stolen. stick to reps until you make enough money to not worry about these things...
  21. Some dealers here actually check watches before they are shipped to the customer. We pay them for their time and service. its that simple. you got an extra $1000 and a few days to kill to fly to china and buy some cheap reps yourself??? this is a business and very profitable one for our chinese friends guys this is funny, we buy reps from them, they buy gens..
  22. sorry, had to re-do Rolex
  23. cheap tourbillion watch = Made in Asia. Those on eBay are Asian.
  24. i am afraid he is goona end up with the parts that he can't sell cuz they are too expensive for rep modders. Pretty risky "project". What will defenitely sell: - case back -hands - dial - box
