Yes! I recall you posting that. We surmised they do it on purpose to keep one step ahead of Interpol, or the Swiss Watch muscle. Also, do you remember your post when you were seeking Joshua's Tourbillon? I think Stephane pointed out it was written "Quilloche" instead of guilloch

I think the same when Brits pronounce Tucson "Tuck-sun". Seriously, though, Moss-Goww is bad. Interestingly, I rather like I-rack, and have taken to pronouncing it that way. Yes, I've gone native big time. I even say rowt for route.

LOL! I love the photo, Maciek. I see someone already mentioned the peeping spinach, which I was going to avoid mentioning. Tsk, men. For the record, I think that's a paint-on star. P.S. Nice avatar, Jkpadget2!! GO CANES!!

 Oh Corgi, that made me laugh so much. Actually, other than the fact that her brain must be fried by now, from 50 years of hitting the sauce and popping Benzedrine, I know what she's trying to do -- she's making fun of the lamo-questions asked again and again by tiresome media. When celebs do this, it's their way of lashing out, and laughing at the absurdity of it all. The problem is that their reaction is captured for all time, to beat them over the head with. President Bush does the same thing. Hence the chimp-smirk, and snorts. Wish he would howl once though. Preferrably during a State of the Union.

LOL. They call it "going Hollywood" -- where you start believing your own hype and acting any way you want in public, because you frikkin can. I mean, even the ridiculous Sarah Ferguson has more grace in public, toe-sucking and all. And what gets to me is that our generation's equivalent of Elizabeth Taylor-Richard Burton is Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt. Ugh. The first, no matter how dysfunctional, drunk, and much-married were still DAZZLING. But these modern-day numpties? Sooo boring. Sometimes I feel I was born too late...OOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW.

Incredible, isn't it? From one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL women to grace the silver screen: To this...creature...howling. I feel like buying her a flea collar.

No worries, darling. That's what we're here for, ultimately, if reluctantly, or is that unashamedly? Whatevs, happy to help. -
Since posting this, I've been surfing the "Celeb Gossip" sites which usually give me the willies (why are people interested in K-Fed's underwear size, WTF?). But OMG, the comments on this are priceless. This is my fave: "Is that actually Liz Taylor or some kind of drag queen impersonator? If it is her I’m glad she is well enough to howl like a wild coyote, and squawk like a – oh, I can’t describe anything that can howl “Maaaaawidge!” in just that way. I guess it’s that kind of talent that wins you Academy Awards." Maaaaawidge. LOL.

Whenever I see this interview. God, poor thing. A living legend too.

Nooooo. Let them think what they want. The less attention on the rep world, from the rep world, of the rep world in those forums, the better. I mean, what can someone say: Hey guys, I'm a rep collector and there are TONNES of people on our forum, so there *stick out tongue, waggle fingers*!! The important thing is that they are wrong. Knowing that is half the battle. The other half if buying more reps.

Victoria replied to cornerstone's topic in The looney bin
Oh God, don't. They might start the muppet thing again. BTW, can you imagine if RWGers had done the same thing? Can you seriously imagine Stephane or Sssurfer changing their avatars to Miss Piggy or Kermit? -
It's my wallpaper now!! Thanks, Jiro. Keep 'em coming, please.

Jason, I'm not being hard on you, but a quick hitting of the search button gave me this excellent reference post. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...l=Precious+Time Good luck to you. -
I think others have answered, but since you address the question to me, I feel duty-bound to respond. Basically, you email him, he sends you info on how to pay, and you wait for a reply for the EMS tracking. Coolfire mentioned the Chinese hols -- that plays a role in slow replies. But Jay is a slow emailer, in part because he's part of a smaller operation than others. He's a nice guy, very nice. But sometimes gets in over his head, I think. He'll be ever more swamped with this special. Keep emailing, but don't overdo it, would be my suggestion. No, I wouldn't PM anyone for payment info, since maybe he has changed it, or he uses certain ones for certain customers.

Panerai New Features and Anti-Counterfeit Measures
Victoria replied to diver_dylan's topic in The Panerai Area
Their anti-counterfeiting measures are ridiculous. So what, a Mosca on the caseback? Wow, why not in invisible ink!! Which only Superman can read?? Please. However, you see mention of this hot little number: "PAM292 The PAM292 (1000 pieces, $6200) is the highly anticipated 45mm Radiomir Black Seal Ceramic. It has the usual removable wire loop strap attachments in steel w/ PVD coating, and the crown is, I believe, PVD'ed steel (even though the Press Release says it's ceramic). Crown is personalized with the OP logo, and the dial is a black sandwich dial w/ a torpedo (referred to as a "Pig") at 6 o'clock." Someone recently asked at Risti what the hottest models are (speaking of the gen world obviously). Without hesitation they mentioned: 249, 232, and this the 292. Will we have a rep of the 292 sooner than later? It may well be my first PVD PAM. -
First, thank you so much for this run-down! Since getting the Cintr

Welcome Bigcarpchaser! (Sounded like a Scots angler for a second) Ladies Seamaster? I'm not quite sure if you mean a smaller size, or exactly what...? Taking one merchant, here is Andrew's ETA 40mm version of the SMP. http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...products_id=172 He also has also has a bigger one, 42.5mm. Is that what you mean, perhaps? You can bet that if something interests humans, it's collectible, and there are people who gather around to talk about it, whatever it is. Sokkkkkkkarrrrrrrr isn't an American word, it is a British word. Since we're being helpful and all, just thought I'd mention that. Good luck! Victoria (ex-of England)

God, RWG has been slow and a bit dull Friday. Here is my contribution to jizz it up, I mean! jazz it up. Did you know that there is an International Symposium going on as we spit, about condoms? True story. It's taking place in Seoul, South Korea and number 1 item for discussion is "Does Size Matter?". This is long, but I'm sure you'll like it. Won't we all... SEOGWIPO, South Korea (AP) — As the world's top condom experts convene this week to update international standards, one American entrepreneur has a simple message: Size matters. It's shaking up an industry that has generally taken a one-size-fits-all approach. Frank Sadlo, founder of TheyFit, which makes what he claims are the world's first custom-fit condoms, is pushing for updated standards to allow greater variation in condom size. It's not just about well-endowed men in cramped prophylactic quarters, Sadlo told a meeting Thursday of delegates from 21 countries under the Geneva-based International Organization for Standardization. When given a choice, he said many men prefer condoms smaller than the standard minimum 6.3 inches long, with more than half ordering those less than 5.12 inches. [edit vbarrett: ] At the session in Seogwipo on South Korea's Jeju Island, more than 100 representatives — including leading manufacturers, government standards bodies and aid groups — pored over 42 pages of specifications and testing requirements for condoms. Standards are especially crucial — failure could mean the spread of potentially deadly diseases or unwanted pregnancy. "Our job is to do away with inferior condoms," said Eng Long Ong, meeting chairman and deputy head of the Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council, which estimates 13-14 billion condoms are made each year. Getting quality condoms can be especially difficult in places like Africa, where they are a major part of AIDS prevention campaigns. Ian Matondo, an adviser to the Malawi Health Ministry, said the issue of condoms breaking in Africa had nothing to do with the size of men's penises but was due to poor manufacturing. The standard for testing condom strength is to fill it with air, a technique pioneered by the Swedes in the 1950s. Condoms of the standard length and width must hold at least 4.76 gallons of air — far more than they would ever be expected to contain under normal use. Varying condom size would require standards and test equipment to change and is expected to require another a year for approval, Sadlo said. The length issue is just one of many being debated at the five-day meeting, the 24th such session since 1975, where delegates were creating new standards for synthetic and female condoms. Synthetic polyurethane condoms are an alternative for people allergic to rubber latex and can be thinner without losing strength. They also conduct heat better for "much more sensitivity with lovemaking," said Grant Burt, international division director for Japan's Sagami Rubber Industries Co. Female condoms are seeing increasing use in Africa, where they are often distributed for free so women can take control of disease prevention, said Matondo. Innovation for male condoms has focused on adding textures to enhance sexual pleasure, or offering different colors or lubricants. At the meeting, South Korean manufacturer Unidus displayed its "Long-Love" condom — featuring desensitizing cream inside to prevent premature ejaculation so men "make a lasting impression." [edit vbarrett -- Desensitizing cream?? That sounds ghastly] Widths vary but condom length is usually standard, as it believed latex can stretch to fit all men. The average adult penis is 5-6 inches long, experts said. Sadlo said his inspiration for custom condoms arose from his days playing baseball at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, where locker room tales of exploits with the opposite sex often failed to include use of condoms due to complaints they did not fit. A more comfortable condom contributes to men actually using them, said Michael Reece, director of the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University. "Typically, when a man complains about condom fit, we have assumed that he means that condoms are too small and we have often just ignored this complaint because we think that men are bragging about the size of their penis," Reece said via e-mail. He said men also have problems with condoms being too large. "It is time for those who establish condom manufacturing standards to consider whether an expanded range of condom sizes is necessary," Reece said. Sadlo offers a "fit kit," a sheet of paper printed from a computer for sizing — and advising the user to watch out for paper cuts. The chart only runs from long to longer. [edit vbarrett: What happened to just using a ruler?] The product was offered from 2003-2006 in the United States before he withdrew it to upgrade from 55 to 95 sizes. Changing international standard would make it easier to widely offer the product, rather than seeking approval in each country. Sadlo said it has been difficult to transform the condom industry. "In order to bring about revolutionary change, you need to have the mind-set of a trailblazer, you need to keep focused on your vision," he said. So, do you agree? Do condoms need to be made smaller, and with more "options" to enhance the whole insides-outsides process? Humour me. EDIT: How about just changing the brand names, for Chrissakes? I mean, Trojans? What is this, 38 BC? Plus in some countries, brand names are confusing. Sure, Durex in Europe is a condom name, but in South America it's the name for sticky tape. Ouch. Here are some suggestions: Here's a gal who has the right idea. A wedding gown made of 12,500 condoms. I think Princess Diana would've looked lovely in it.

How come certain marques or models of watches have randomised serial numbers on the casebacks, such as some Breitlings and IWCs? Why can't this be the case, say, with Panerai watches? I presume someone has to take a mold of the casing and that's why they are all E0017/1950 (for some Fiddies), etc. -- but if it can be done with some, why not with the most popular models? I would surely pay a premium if I had a random Panerai serial number for any of my watches. Wouldn't you? Is this laziness on the part of the makers?

Best Franck Muller rep? Mine. The Curvex Crazy Hours with white leather lizard band I just got from Andrew. Stay tuned on Monday for a Wrist-shot of this beauty!!

Heh. I found this funny, don't take it the wrong way or anything, Kenmasters. I know what you're saying. I just thank God I'm a woman, and don't have to worry about such things. A woman has more leeway in the West to put on anything she wants, and it doesn't compromise her sexual orientation, unless one looks terribly "butch". Thankfully, I do not.

Oh well, that's another storey. *groan* Yes, that's very sleek. Still would prefer it not to be gold, but the lines are well-done, and have almost a Lalique look to them. I like, POTR! Thanks for opening my eyes.
