  1. OMG, Corgi...I have one too! In fact, it was the very very first rep watch I ever bought, before even discovering this forum, IIRC. From Paul, need I say more. Well, I have the rose gold version, on a red croc-a-like rep strap and you should have seen heads roll downwards the first day I wore it. There is a famous gen collector in Miami who owns over 100 Pateks, and who famously had the story of how he acquired this watch, told in a watch mag. I have a secret reverie where he and I are standing side-by-side, perhaps in the Biltmore Hotel restaurant in Coral Gables where I've been told he hangs out, wearing our mutual Patek Sky Moon Tourbillons...wouldn't that be a hoot. Not.
  2. LOL! GUTSY. I would've given him a promotion!
  3. I'm fairly abstemious. Don't smoke cigarettes, have never had any kind of drugs outside of a chemists, and am faithful to whatever boyfriend I have had (so far). I think I'm entitled to be a bad girl once in a while, else I'd be as boring as the Lawrence Welk Show.
  4. HELLO! Can you read my mind, Deltatahoe?? Just today I bought on eBay an 8 watch panerai case (from that nice Panatime chap). I have the 2/4 already. So that makes *quick calculation, maths never her strong-suit* 14 Panerai I can store. So 3 to go.......... Having bought a Wojtecki strap today, and Strap Culture, Paw Marker, and one strapmaker's leather keyring in the shape of a strap (LOVE IT!), my remaining strap "wants" are one from Savage, and XaMas. I admit, that Prada of which we have touched on, is a nice dream too...and I like the Papaya brown, but was told they're out. The models themselves, well, perfection. Increasingly the 112 is taking over the 111, as the "base", yes? The 089 is fun. I wish I could wear an Arktos, but even I have my limits. P.S.: It's funny that you have one watch which you use for the "different strap-a-day" or when you want to change it. That's the 111h for me, instead of your 112h. The straps on the other watches I have "matched" with their look, and they pretty much remain with the same strap because of that, but the 111h is the most versatile of all my PAMs, I've noticed.
  5. My God, if it's TWP's Tag I'll kill you!
  6. Has there ever been a more comprehensive review of a watch experience than this on RWG? Perhaps. But this just raised the bar. Love the pics, AAPXP, as mentioned elsewhere.
  7. That's Davidsen's best Panerai yet!!
  8. Hehe. Not selling the T3, which I've wanted to have for either my boyfriend or father for a while. It just doesn't look right on me, though I did wear it around to the bank, yesterday. Ever since I saw Die Hard 4, where the baddie wears a beautiful AP T3, I have wanted it. Happens like that all the time with me, and movies. P.S.: Don't worry. Slowing down MASSIVELY starting today. Didn't go to PayPal today at all...except in the morning...where I placed my last 8 orders...really, scout's honour...help.
  9. I joined and in short order, though it's the last of all the forums I check, I became a VIP member. This is partly because I like to support our hobby, and their VIP membership is currently a lifetime offer, so... I already ordered a PAM 152 from an in-house collector from Spain. Took a bit of a chance, and SO FAR, it has paid off very handsomely. This watch sells easily anywhere from $238 to $268 not including shipping, and I got it for $155 shipped. It was the last one, so I lucked out. Stunning. More pics later. But so far, so good. Plus if you like straps, a certain Big Balls vendor has incredible deals there, one currently going on exclusive to the site...'nuff said. As an aside, the site founder is a mod at RWI. I also get to trot out one of my several languages, in the Discusiones en Espa
  10. Too much, Delta. I am shutting myself down for my own good...the good thing is that now I have a project -- saving for my Davidsen uFiddy. Oh nooooo. Nothing like that. I'm the queen of the cheapies. If your watch is in the $100 range, and I like it, you can be sure I will be sending you a PM. Followed very closely by my father armed with his cricket bat, help...
  11. That was exactly my previous record, Ken: 5 in one magical day during my first week collecting. But I went slightly crazy last week, and just ODed on straps, and Panerai watches. Do you think the quantity has a lot to do with how newbie you are? By the time you are a seasoned veteran of the rep game, you have all the straps you need, even though there may be one or two out there, you love. And I'm sure one gets choosier about which rep watches one buys... Did you notice the AP T3 I got from a member here? After a little polish with Cape Cod cloth, mwah! *kisses fingers* Fabulous.
  12. Yeah, I have Elliot on speed dial... (I may have to start selling my straps though. I ordered colours that are fugly for my skin tone...)
  13. Black girls apparently. *neck rolls, snaps fingers* Edit: I heard that Ken. And I'm not commenting on that! Anyway, most women do, and if they tell you otherwise, they just don't want to be thought as hos. Trade secret.
  14. What the Frenchie said. Only add a weekend in Marbella to the list. Hey, you can afford it now with all those you scammed on leaving! J/K! Best of luck, TTK.
  15. I like that. Stephane already calls me that! And the difference is easy -- one is a married lady (Mrs), the other an unmarried girl or lady (Miss). I'm close, but still unhitched.
  16. PERFECT! My father is a Scrooge about Christmas, and refuses to be given presents saying it's commercialised, yadda-yadda, whatever. I always give him one little "big" present like an Herm
  17. Mine, 30 July 2007 -- 11 packages, ranging from countries like Germany and Belgium, and containing such lovelies as watches, more straps than at a dominatrix convention, and one spring bar pusher I've already broken, woo! So what's your record of rep-related packages received in one day? (Note, I was careful not to position anything from China in this bunch so no one can see how their packages look like. But I also didn't add two packages received from as far away as Israel, having thrown it away already. And yes, I cheated a bit. See if you can pick out the package which doesn't correspond to our hobby. I didn't count it in my 11 though!)
  18. Hehe, no worries, Pix. I look at certain watches and still scratch my head how people can like them. Your worries are not unfounded or easily dismissed. But I believe in the free-market, and you will see how the market will correct itself once the first wave of interest is over. I hope anyway! Miss Miss Miss Victoria
  19. LOL @ 37 posts, 2 on the same day about hating Hublot prices. Either you're a Chinese collector squeezed out by the cartel because you were undercutting their markups, or you're an old chap or lady who has spaghetti wrists. Either way, in the words of the immortal Polly Hollyday, kiss my grits! (There, extra super large to burn his modem)
  20. Think of it like oral sex. Some like it, some don't. It's just that simple, TeeJay.
  21. Thanks, Laz! Yes, a bit OT, but I digested your info with great hunger.
  22. Luscious, Laz, but the member wanted a THIN, elegant watch. So far, we've given him gorgeous watch suggestions like Euno's magical twins, but I'm guessing he meant something like a Blancpain or Breguet. I personally think the Chronoswiss gets very little fanfare. They are lovely watches, but not for all tastes. Here is the Regulateur Automatique (Joshua), which is very close to the original. Gen: 38mm Rep: 40mm (but also AJ21). More here: http://www.perfectclones88.com/chronoswiss-c-90.html
  23. Not crappy at all, rather cloak-and-daggerish actually. Thanks for the insight, John. My fave, the one I just bought -- the Radiomir base, 210. Went to Strap Culture already for a nice 27mm strap, but wonder if my Fiddy straps will fit on them too? Can someone advise if I should stick to specialised Radiomir straps, because of their graceful curves towards the bottom? (Gosh, it sounds like I'm talking about J-Lo)
  24. I just got my Lion Purdey, and I THINK it will look smashing on it. And hey! I thought this combo was beautiful. It softens the "busy-ness" of the otherwise chunky PAM Submersibles. PVD PAMs...well, that's one mania I haven't gotten (yet). They looked great on Rolli's wrist-shot, but wouldn't on me I think. Ick. Hate popcorn, hate butter on popcorn. When I go to the pictures, I have a diet Coke and a dog with jalape
