Perfect "small" collection. No Omegas though? Not the Assioma, please. At least not in gold. With respect, it looks too flamboyant and gay. Smart move. My boyfriend isn't into watches either..., but he lets me speak about them, whenever I want. Seems like a lot of partners here don't -- that's sad. ZainoDetail recently asked this question. Here is my reply. For your convenience, here it is for you! "I recently bought Narikaa's (fast depleting stock of) Tag Heuer with black dial. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=59885 This was based on By-Tor's magnus opus review of it here, which he got for his girlfriend (he's updated it yesterday saying the watch is still running beautifully). http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=14263 AWOL member, Lazarini, once asked for suggestions for getting a watch for his better half: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=36006&st=0 In this thread, JDavis suggests the one I like of the ones you showed, and apparently so does yours! The Omega Aquaterra. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&...st&p=294091 Ajoesmith asked over a year ago, what was the most accurate Ladies rep watch out there: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&...st&p=129584 Here's another thread, about watches for ladies: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&...st&p=145330 Finally, over at Repgeeks, there is a whole section brimming full of photographs called "Women's Watches". http://www.repgeek.com/forumdisplay.php?f=78 NOTE: I frequently post photos of ladies rep watches in the Wristchecks. Here is a sampling, but I'm afraid I cannot post them all here, as I forget where they are. Left, me wearing the Cartier La Do

You have to be into Panerai, to find straps exciting. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on! Possibly even in undies.
-
The one on the left is the one which turned me unto Brent's straps! Good eye. Close to one FxrAndy has -- and this reminds me, don't forget that FxrAndy has a special going on for his straps, with some proceeds going to RWG.

The good thing about being a strapaholic, is that I get to support a lot of strapmakers in the forums I'm a member of -- gen and rep alike. Xlr8tn first turned me on to his straps, after posting a collection pic of them, remember? I thought, wow, that is a combination of Greg Stevens (especially the Toro Moro blue stitch, in the middle), FxrAndy's textured buffalo straps, plus V's elegant touch. I fell in love with the light brown strap, with creme stitching -- and ordered one. I PMed Brent with my details, telling him I love LOOONG straps. No problems, he said. He even let me punch my own hole! How can I describe it? It's leather which looks like toffee dipped in cocoa, smoked over a wood-burning stove. And smooth and soft as a baby's derri

Hey there, Zoeblogrow! I guess what the guys are saying is what a lot of newbies need to know -- that RWG is more like a repository of information, there for the pickings. Also think of it like Home Depot, whose motto is "You can do it. We can help". First you search around to see what you want, narrow it down, know your tastes (formal, bling, gold, etc.). You can sure bet that after your research is done, people will help you out! Don't worry about Perfect-Clones -- they are reputable. Perhaps one of the most in this hobby. Good luck!

Please remind me AGAIN NEVER to listen to pundits, polls and all that junk. I can't believe I fell for the "poll/pundit" crapola again. Hate politics, but I love the process. This is why I was Clerk of a polling precinct from 2004-2007, including the fateful Presidential Election of 2004 (what a day that was -- I even had a Michael Mooreish wiseguy try to film the voters). I "retired" last year. Now I'm happy to be a spectator, because setting up that polling station was a major pain, especially since the other pollworkers were between 80 years old and death. Please note to those who don't know, that because our State, Florida, decided to up our primary to January 29th the DNC docked ALL their delegates (210 delegates lost!), and the RNC, half (now only 114). This is probably why our cable and local stations are now SATURATED with Rudy, Huckabee, and other Repub ads, but I have yet to see ONE Democratic ad on TV. Basically, if you're a Democrat in Florida, you don't count in the primaries. Sorry guys.

You'd think in a fake forum we could tell the difference, right? Nah, he's being genuine. He's the Republican Jimmy Carter... @Kokedose: LOL!
-
Yeah, but he did it like a man -- inside the limo. (One of the most surprising comebacks I've personally ever seen. ALL the pundits and most of my friends were saying, "stick a fork in her, she's done")

WEDNESDAY There's an exciting new strapmaker around, and today, I'm showing off a beauty of a strap he made me (more later). This is the Andrew PAM 177 on "xlr8tn" (Brent's) smokey brown suede strap! My first black and white wristcheck. You like? THURSDAY Continuing the artistry, here's the 2007 Rolex Milgauss from member, Supermanx. Know your audience. For the lads of the forum. @Slai: What a great picture that is! Globe & Mail? Oh no, wait. It's your Customs form?

WHOOPS!
-
No! Really nice, Star. Love the belts you chap are showing. I went to match the Fiddy and the Uggs with a 115/75 OF Paci Tantalium strap. @Babola below: Tight jeans. Hobo Dior bag. Sexy gilet poncho & Uggs -- I look awesome!

Attention rep makers! We want this watch!
Victoria replied to milsub5517's topic in The Panerai Area
I don't have any PVD PAMs, and frankly, I think PVD would look much too masculine on me. Okay, this is ceramic, same idea -- the rep would be PVD. That and the fact that a PVD Radiomir is just SO wrong (it ruins the sleek lines of the case!), makes me think...yeah, I'd give this a shot. -
Fear not, I have EMUs, too. There hasn't been a [censored]-over-[censored] trend set by the Olsen Twins that I haven't followed. Nice one, Vicky. BTW, the EMU v. UGG rivalry reminds me of the Husky v. Barbour jackets one. Well we know who won that one, don't we. EDIT: "I forgot to say, but apparently, Paris Hilton once said she wouldn't be seen dead in Ugg boots. " She would look like Saskquatch! I have small feet, she's got clodhoppers.
-
Oh thank God. I mean, oh bugger. Like I want to look like Sienna Miller all my life. It's bad enough I look like half of Richmond-on-Thames...
-
Yes, yes, I know. My boyfriend thinks they're UGGLEE too. But I have to keep justifying the pricetag, since they were in fashion 4 years ago... P.S.: I'll take a Fiddy shot for you to compare. I'm a size 7 US.

You have to think of WHY she was being genuine, though, CT. Cynics like us would say she was upset because she feels 1600 slipping away. I give her the benefit of the doubt about feeling the emotion, but not as to the reasons. Others do, and I find that bewildering. Frankly, there are many reasons why she isn't doing well. For one, Americans are tired of Bushes and Clintons. Bush Clinton Clinton Bush Bush Clinton Clinton could be the potential future of America. What is this, a monarchy? I heard that last remark in the supermarket queue on Saturday. Absolutely. I couldn't agree more. I can't believe sweet, demure Condi Rice, who looks like a lady who wouldn't be capable of hurting a fly, has more balls than she does. She stared down many a personal attack in her trips abroad, with grace under pressure. Neither was this one. Like her, hate her, and there are many who will dance in the streets when she goes, but MY GOD THAT WAS A WOMAN. Moreover, that was a PRIME MINISTER. Look at those eyes, and tell me America doesn't deserve a leader of that calibre, not a fussbucket who cries every time she's attacked. P.S.: Diana Gould, who became something of a celebrity afterwards, gave as good as she got. Women are never scared of other women. At least, I'm not.

Can you imagine Margaret Thatcher or Golda Meir getting teary-eyed like that? Oh God. Lots of people think it was staged. Not I. I believe her advisors said, after she had a disastrous debate on Saturday (looking daggers at all the men, alternating with, "That hurts my feelings", yeesh), "try be more emotional, show your vulnerable side." So whilst I think the question was a plant, and that she had that advice in the back of her mind, I think she was being genuine. Well, as genuine as a phoney can be... Anyway, she's going to lose three in a row (Iowa, NH & South Carolina). Unlike Rudy, she never had a "it's all starts in Florida" strategy, and she's in serious difficulties financially: down to 25m. Oops. EDIT: Obviously, she should adapt the Segol

Hmm. The Urinator doesn't do anything for me, Corgi. But you kinda dance on my original question -- of how the rep watch scene is in Russia? If the motivation is there to own a rep, etc. Just who are you going to impress in Russia, with a Panerai, Lange, etc.? The people who are in the know, know your watch is fake. Worse, because money is so fresh and ABUNDANT in Moscow, amongst that set of people you will be outted immediately as a poseur. It's like wearing a rep PAM at a restaurant near the Beverly Hills Panerai boutique. Potential embarrassment factor = 100%. EDIT: I have a post on old Russian Imperial watches I was working on, before my Dell HD kicked the bucket. I'll have to re-download all my pics, and re-type everything, so it won't be as nice. Coming soon though.

I had the same reaction. Some are godawful, but the variety of godawfulness is rather intriguing! Just to see what KINDS of A. Lange reps have technically been available, is a handy reference to have. Well, because they're reputable. Seriously, they know their clientele by now. The backstreet Guangzhou tschokes would raise some eyebrows here. It's like buying stereo equipment. Would you rather do so at an audio-only store, or take your chances with Best Buy, who sell anything from fridges to DVDs to popcorn makers? It's an interesting point, though. Even Jay doesn't offer these in his reapie-cheapie watchsilix.site. Much appreciated, Rodwc!

Don't you think it's a little "freaky" to see a watch you had, on another RWG'ers wrist? It's one of the best parts of this hobby. Oh, BTW, I didn't buy this watch for me. It is too big too. I am a true collector -- I just like owning a large variety watches. Don't kill me, Pix, but Versailles is a little overrated. *gg*

I recently asked what the Russian rep watch scene was like, you might recall. Not receiving an answer, I went in search of info myself. Here's one Russian Federation site, which offers loads of rep watches, the *Moscow Store Collection: http://www.moscowstore.com/index.php?osCsi...2683fbcebb60c52 This is NOT an authorised forum site, so please be careful. I just thought you might be interested in the site. Speaking of which, it has a strangely Chinese look and feel, don't you think? Or maybe they all use the same template. And don't look now, but it does offer some A. Lange watches, which Emmzy and others have or want: http://www.moscowstore.com/index.php?cPath...2683fbcebb60c52 But in fact, it's not properly a rep watch site, but offers a stunning array of old Russian Empire goods, like Baltic amber and Gzhel pottery, the latter of which has been around for 700 years. Check them out: Antique And Vintage Baltic Amber Baume & Mercier Birch Bark Crafts Decorative Eggs Enamel Jewelry Flasks And Lighters Fridge Magnets Gemstone Jewelry Glass Figurines Gzhel Pottery Handcrafted Dolls Laser-Etched Crystals Majolica Art Miscellaneous Nesting Dolls Pearl Brooches REPLICA BAZAAR Replica Watches Russian Shawls Cashmere Shawls Pavlov Posad Russian Watches X-mas Gifts You haven't lived until you've owned a Matryoska (Russian nesting doll) in the form of the Fightin' Irish of Notre Dame. Where's Touchdown Jesus? I like the site for the kitschiness. Not too sure I'd run out to buy their Panerai though. Poor Russkies. Now I know why they would be crazy about the Gaytonas. *EDIT -- NOTE!! Just remembered Dax' scam list post, and yes, unfortunately the Moscow Store Collection is there. Again, please treat this as a curio, not a site you should buy anything from...

Thank Mrs. Reb for letting her new beauty to be photographed! And tell her to join me in the Wristchecks, please. It's lonely sometimes here. @Speedmaster below: Wow, wonder what By-Tor has to say!

John Lobbs with an ardillon buckle on a PAM 114? Brilliant! But Freddy is much more into fashion than I am -- at least, the kind you guys can wear. Thanks for the shoutout, Babola.
