These scenarios are not new or unique And taking out of the equation the counterfeit element and speaking solely about gens: a. Yes exactly correct being a good l'ill christian you declare it, show receipts, and dutifully pay the nice man the inbound country's dues. Yes as others have said if you prefer to smuggle it detection odds are in your favour (though not wholly unanimously) b./ c. Procedures vary slightly but most countries adopt the same process: You go to your resident country's customs pre travel & prove that the host country's duty was paid on your valuables - they give you documentation certifying this (to ease the process on your return). You present this on arrival at your destination country who further gives documentation for the transit of the item(s) which you must show - with the relevant goods on departure to avoid taxation. Dont forget the revenors have been at it - and polishing their act - for centuries and hardly any circumstance is new to them or not provided for in their procedures. The above of course is what you are supposed to do, whether or not you decide to adhere 100% to that route is of course up 2 U .

Exactomundo Oh & Mr ZZZZzipy, when they fail they tend to do so with great swathes of the good members' money. They dont 'fall to my standards' - they cant even aspire to them (longevity, scrupulous honesty, and realism) . -

Mmmm an expert Rocket science it isnt When a field of business of long standing has found its own level (the balance of margins, expectations, service levels etc)by virtue of the forces of demand supply profitability etc. Then a Fresh Rising Star promises to swim in the same environment offering much more - then as common sense (& history) shows they will fail as the promises cannot be sustained. . -

This one has Ticked a mark on my calendar To see if the inevitable 'crash n burn' is quicker or slower than all the other 'big promise' merchants that came (& went) . -
Any watchsmith worth his salt will do a 'lifetime fix' on this for a couple of bucks by replacing that push fit with a solid straight pin peaned over to a dome head.

The decision is yours I had a friend who was a prolific shipper from the Far East (never watches I might add)had the same thing happen to him he got over £2K GBP !!!! (he was an argumentative b'stard though) Dont forget that it has moved on from mere insured value.. negligence, adverse publicity et all now creeps into the equation . -

My Fuji S100FS A big heavy critter Brings on quite a sweat hauling it about in the humidity but its more used to being on its perch indoors But its anti shake is phenomenal ! And it's zoom gives an ear to ear grin everytime you use it Heres a beastie I spotted at 4 or 5 feet away while having lunch Auto focus against a light source of sky BEHIND it - a near impossible shot....but: And for full DOF - nose to horizon Although I have DSLRs too I love this one out and about as 'one lens does all' . .

If you're referring to the Skype ID 'TTK2002', you're chasing shadows That is on his computer back in Thailand and is only used by his partner back there (she incidentally will not answer/respond to any foreign comms).Neil has not used that ID since he left Thailand. .

Mmm To my recollection he never used the 'PM' system when he was alive 'No PMs' and a deliberately full 'in box' was de riguer for the last two years of his trading here In fact I think he always wanted you to remove the PM facility But hey who knows what comms a real necroposter would employ .

Superglue...you stand a big risk of 'clouding' inside the crystal with the vapours (do pay more attention when watching C.S.I. ) Personally, for convenience , safety, & ease of use (with its inbuilt hypo needle applicator) the smallest amount of GS Hypo Cement .

What's the legality in carrying a roll of coins for defense?
narikaa replied to TeeJay's topic in The looney bin
Indeed and doubtless an edifying lesson to give, you could doubtless reflect on the fun to help while away your time in jail for doing so. And what country would that be? ...certainly not the UK (and most definitely not the land o' the 'sweaty sock') where junkies and other criminals have very free and easy access to illegal firearms, its only 'very very' difficult for the law abiding tax paying sheeple. .
