  1. I would like to know if anyone has used the Davidsen AR crystals on a 196 7753 (old case). Trying to measure the crystal is tough, but using my calipers (inches) and converting to mm I get about 35.3mm and he specs the crystals at 35.5mm for 44mm cases. Would really like to know as I may try one of his crowns as well. The 196 would be MUCH improved at that point.
  2. Thank Finepics, that did the job. Unfortunately (as I had anticipated from a prior The Zigmeister post) the Lello I have sits much too far away from the case. *sigh* Oh well.
  3. OK, so I gather that there is a "setting lever axle" I need to press through an opening in the bridge.... I just don't see it. Anyone?
  4. And once I have the tube out, does it just snap back in or do I have to do anything special to get it back in? Thanks!!
  5. Could someone point out the crown tube release on my 7753 in this pic... Sorry about the lousy quality of the image.
  6. Looking for some help here... It's time to install a Lello on my ETA 7753 196, or at least try to see if it fits. Can anyone provide instructions for a non-watch-mechanic type to do this? Thanks in advance.
  7. Great pics of a splendid timepiece. You will enjoy that watch for many years to come. Wear it in good health.
  8. Yep! Now if only EL could learn to take pics with a depth of field greater than 2mm we'd be in heaven!!! PS chrono903, where can i see more of the girl in your signature?
  9. Any love for 7753 ?
  10. Agreed. We definitely have to be careful not to overdo it. 2.0mm is the way to go.
  11. Nice indeed, and on my to buy list...... My only question would be isn't the LUMINOR MARINA and PANERAI print on the dial just a little too..... WHITE? Gen:
  12. Nice. Saw one at a dealer last week, and almost bought it. But the devil on my shoulder kept saying, "Just get the rep. Just get the rep." I love the 176.
  13. That's basically correct.
  14. Good ole gay Gavin.
  15. Epoxy. Look for a product called JB Weld. But also keep in mind that it'll never come off!
  16. I'm not sure I would bother fixing the "A" since the lettering is not even close to the gen anyhow... But then I guess I can see why it bugs you. You might try a lacquer stick.
  17. Indeed.
  18. Custom, eh? What's custom about it? Is it a 111H dial in a 177G case? Could ya PM me a price?
