  1. Ubiquitous that'll help... Also, if you could provide an exact crystal thickness I would appreciate it. I wonder if our rep crystals are thinner than genuines. I need to get into an AD and look at how flush the crystal is supposed to be with the bezel. I think it should protrude a bit.
  2. Phenominal job, Rob.
  3. Very cool. Damn thing is busy aint it? Got any wrist shots? I'm having a hard time picturing this thing actually on a wrist!
  4. Hilarious on many accounts. But my question is: what exactly is a fake watch? Hrmmm. Well, the plastic watches I used to get out of gumball machines when I was 5 were definitely fake watches. The dials were just decals that you could peel right off - definitely not a genuine watch. And I guess if I draw a picture on paper of a watch, cut it out, and tape it around my wrist - THAT would be a fake watch. But I SWEAR my replica Rolexes are REAL watches!! They keep time well. People often say to me "Hey, nice watch!" I've had watch repair work done to them. They must be real!! Therefore they can not be exempt from his services. Phew!!! Glad we cleared that one up.
  5. That'd be cool. I'd like to see those.
  6. I have access but haven't pulled the trigger pending a response. Do you?
  7. Rolex part number #25-295C is the submariner saphire crystal with date window. Does anyone know if this will fit our replicas? Thanks!!
  8. If I were going to do it, and mind you I never have, I would use the smallest dremel sanding cylinder and work on it by hand. Of course you'll have to remove the crown tube first (I'd remove the movement and everything also and work on just the case. Start with 120 grit to remove the bulk of the material, and move up to finer and finer grits as you start fine tuning, and then finally polish any rough spots. Get a picture of the genuine CGs in your head and work slowly towards obtaining that shape. But remember once you remove material, it's gone forever!! So take your time. That's the best advice I can give having never actually done it.
  9. I think it's a pretty nice sub overall. I'm not a sub expert per se, but here are my observations: Positive: Dial looks good, date mag looks good, date font looks really close, crown tube looks almost genuine to me (I thought the rep tubes were usually thinner), dial lume looks good. Negative: CGs aint bad (in some shots they look better than in others) but aint quite right (they never are) however you could shave them down a bit yourself, rehaut might be a little shallow but it's hard to tell for sure, luminous on the hands is weak, bracelet has issues as you've noted - how are the midlinks (solid or hollow)? What site did you buy this off of ? It's OK, you can tell us.
  10. Good description, actually. It is rather Cartieresque isn't it. I'd have to assume the thumb screws are functional. You MUST get that for your $1k !!

  12. Goodnight.
  13. Very nice. Does ofrei have any 22mm straps for the 45mm PO ?
  14. My comment was tongue-in-cheek as they so often are.
  15. Get the 45mm all the way!!!! Be a man. Hehehe I hope that helps.
  16. Very sharp looking with the black strap!!!!
  17. I'd be happy as a clam with 40 hours. I just can't get it.
  18. MIGHT be warranted? This is the 9th Circus we're talking about here!!!!
  19. She's a keeper!!
  20. Here here. Pay up people!!! Let's not jeorpardize these perfect crowns.
  21. They are for the 1570 caliber. So I guess they will not fit. I'll try to track down Tudor hands in that case.
  22. I stumbled upon some vintage 5508/5510/5512/5513/1680/1665 mercedes hands (mint condition too). Does anyone know if they will fit our 2824/2836 movements without much fuss? Thanks in advance.
  23. Yes genuine, and both. Modern seems a little harder to come by, however.
  24. Thanks, Ubi. I knew you'd have the answer. With a little leg work I've been able to track down an abundance of inserts but the dealers seem to be confused (or just uneducated) as to which is which...
