  1. Unfortunately, no... Just the crowns.
  2. Weird. Ubi's sub looks bigger than his PAM. Great looking watches.
  3. Maybe I'll buy the lot of 10. Who's in for gen 7mm triplocks at $20/each shipped in the CONUS ?
  4. $15 ($150 total) each for for 10 triplock 7mm crowns... I'd be in for one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...;category=10363
  5. For skinny wrists I recommend something along the lines of a Rolex Datejust and/or Rolex Day-Date.
  6. I almost wonder if there was more than one Natalie then. I received some excellent watches from Natalie back when replicacollector was the only forum in town. Of course, I'm quite open to the possibility that alot has changed since then, too.
  7. I don't know if this is the same Natalie or not. But 4 or so years ago she was a much maligned dealer that sold me some very nice watches. So, give her (or him) a chance!
  8. Sorry. It sold about 30 seconds after the post went up.
  9. Kruzer has provided excellent info as usual. The only thing I have to add is that I, too, have long sought out an acceptable Ti PAM and have thus far come up empty. In fact, I came really close to pulling the trigger on a mint used gen 177H for $3375 which is a great price. But common sense got the better of me and I decided to pad my 2 year old son's college savings account with that money instead! Good luck.
  10. Arrrgh. Well I certainly don't like the idea of filing down the raised lip. But it would have to be done to be anywhere near looking right. I jsut don't want to modify the case. What's the deal with the new crown tube on Davidsen's? Different diameter? What a pain.
  11. The Lello experiment on my (old case) 7753 196 is just about over. The only way I can possibly see getting this crown to sit flush against the side of the case would be to modify the case. The recess on the underside of this crown is too shallow for the 196. It seems to work fine on 6497 models, though. Oh well. So has anyone tried the Davidsen 2mm crown on a 7753 196 (preferably old case)? I may give it a shot. In the meantime the Lello is up for sale to the first person in the CONUS who wants it. Chiefy.
  12. You just need to call around. IME the problem isn't finding a "rep friendly" jeweler, it's finding a competent jeweler. None of them turn business away, but alot of them aren't very good. I like to find a small independently owned shop by a guy who has been a watchsmith for many years. In my town, I found a guy who has accounts with most of the bigger jewelery shops, mall shops, etc. When people bring watches in to these shops for repair, these shops send the watches out to him.
  13. Historically, though, the problem with Paul is that he's not necessarily going to ship the product he's picturing on the website... For the nerds out there, his products are not WYSIWYG.
  14. Good stuff. I look forward to seeing more of your finished projects!
  15. A new (thicker) crown should do the trick too especially one with a spring in the tube.
  16. Ubiquitous, Fantastic looking, and I don't like Datejusts (normally)!!! Question: Does "datewheel overlay" mean some kind of adhesive overlay that affixes to the ETA plastic datewheel? Or does it just mean a non-ETA-OEM datewheel? Thanks.
  17. Very nice work. The CGs are excellent!! Where'd you find that date wheel? It's great too. And I'm no expert, but I think there are better dials to be had out there for fairly cheap. You might want to source one and make this thing even better!
  18. Silly indeed as I've seen genuines with AND without the Luminor on the caseback, but never without the production number. :-)
  19. Wow, I didn't know Natalie was still around. Sounds like a winner. I look forward to seeing it.
  20. Finepics, whatever happened with your AR coating project? Was that a one time endeavor?
  21. PAM 196 for daily wear! OK I know that's not what you asked. Between those two, I'd pick the sub. And I don't even own one, but the ubiquitious Franken 16610 has me thinkin' !
  22. http://cgi.ebay.com/BN-Rolex-50th-Annivers...1QQcmdZViewItem Do a good deed for the day and report this to EBay!
  23. I don't think it looks bad on your wrist at all. You won't want to try pulling off a Fiddy though! Definitely ditch that ugly strap. DON has some really nice ones on clearance right now, for what it's worth.
  24. Nice gen!
