  1. Micky, please tell me that was not a .cc project. I think I read .bz did one.
  2. This Definitely not this The RWG watch of shame for those who have transgressed.
  3. Did you specifically mention this forum when you requested the watch? If you did so, contact the Mods. Did you follow a link from this site or find InTime through a Google search?

    Tudor SCG

Very nice, I hadn't come across SCG Tudors before. Crown height looks much better. Could you post a side on picture and perhaps more details on what you did at the case. Did you do the welding or get it done?
  5. Nice post, thank you for sharing. I had not heard of these.
  6. Very true, type a question into Google and type RWG at the end.
  7. Welcome to the forum. The answer to the question you didn't ask is to decide what you fancy and then use the search box to find out all about it. I've posted how to find the TD list at least twice in the last couple of days. Top of any page, click Browse/forums, then scroll down a long way to watches, clothes, parts and accessories. Anyway enjoy the hobby and let us know what you've bought and what you think of it.
  8. Go to the top of any page, click browse, then forum, scroll down and down to "watches, clothing, parts and accessories". Any of the trusted dealers can source a Railmaster. Size is a personal matter.
  9. The top picture, the ETA has jewels in the movement, the Ronda doesn't. Ronda is usually found in low end gens. There is a lot of interchangeability in Quartz movements, guides are published online. The ETA is better, but as Mike says, probably go with a cheap movement and replace it if necessary down the line, all else being equal. Plenty of five Dollar beach watch purchases seem to keep ticking away year after year anyway. Even I have successfully changed out Quartz movements, so if I can anyone can.
  10. ^^^No mate, TD is Trusted Dealer, the section is available to anyone. Top of the page, Browse, scroll down and down until you get to "watches, parts, clothes and accessories".
  11. What was 50 USD worth back then? My Dad bangs on about how much his first car cost and so on, but he seems to forget he was only earning GBP15 a week in 1965 and was better paid than most of his friends. Not having a go, just curious
  12. I happened to call into my tame AD today and he let me handle the grape, grey and blue. He didn't have the green. Two things, first the SEL fit is absolutely perfect on the gen and it doesn't look like that on the pictures of the rep as @themannier pointed out. Second, I know the display lighting helps a lot, but all the high end gens have a real jewel like finish. I'm still tempted by the reps, but I would find a strap in calf or lizard that matched the dial colour. Is it a girl's watch? I really don't care. 34mm used to be a large size man's watch and 39mm was the town clock not so long ago.
  13. Congratulations, you have every right to be proud, I would be too. Hell I was proud the first time I managed to decase a movement? I'm slowly working towards servicing and you bet I will be very pleased too when I achieve this.
  14. ^^^ditto, happy to help any way I can. I've already contacted admin about registration issues.
  15. I was looking at those last night, I quite fancy the blue and the grey as well.
  16. I didn't know you had a Speedy, is that a recent acquisition?
  17. I tried and failed several times as I remember. It doesn't like Windows, Internet explorer or gmail it seems. I registered successfully a year or more ago on an iPad using Chrome and excite mail. i have sent a message to admin. I will let you all know on this thread if and when I get answers.
  18. Wouldn't it be possible to remove the date wheel and change the stem to a single pull, instead of the double pull on a date movement?
  19. If you have the dial restored, you will loose money twice, once when you pay for the work and a second time when you want to sell. I love an old watch that looks old, it has a story to it.
  20. Hello and welcome to the forum. I think you can satisfy a lot of curiosity by browsing the forum and using the search button. In brief Noob/JF/BP et al are just names to differentiate factories V = version Correct Hand Stack / Incorrect Hand Stack - CHS probably won't work for long unfortunately unless you get into modding Right that's my good deed for the day done, I'm going to bed now?
  21. Ahh the so called Gaytona. My eyes, my eyes! I've seen a picture of Steven Tyler wearing one.
  22. I love the Fifty Five Fathom. Great work.
