  1. if you find the brushed finish not look fantastic on rep, you will be disapointed too when you will see the gen too I visit an AD this week-end, and the non-chrono has the brushed finish...it's not better, same up/down brushing style. It'a a like/hate brush style.
  2. PM sent and a free bump
  3. A classic one, Navitimer, with factory very poor AR:
  4. a layer of titanium...will be the first time I hear that. I'll stay away from this anyway...
  5. The brush finish is exactly the same as the "new" gen model. The question IS, if some don't like the brush "style" on these watch, they can go to MOD the case to polish side (and it's easy). Even way, the decision will be right, it's only a question of taste. For the first time, we can MOD or not, and it will be like the old gen style or new gen style ... that's pretty cool For my part, I will MOD the watch side (to polish side), to give another life to the watch only when the brush side will be too scratchy.
  6. Paid mine $35 (Josh), for a 42mm PO version, it's a rep strap of course, but very well made... But hey, if you want a gen strap, it's your money
  7. On mine too... bug of this rep I think.
  8. You are so funny guys. Personally, I prefer the classic Mark XV hands, but why not this one too if the case will be the right size this time. ... a free BUMP, and continue to make more noise
  9. These watch ROCK, a true beast PVD or SS, I don't care, anyway the factory PVD sucks. The gen use a a carbon powder pvd, impossible to rep this finish. Best thing to do is it to send case for a MIL grade PVD and the problem will be resolve, just rep these beast and we will do the rest
  10. Gosh !!! , so there's TWO versions just on this model (the non-chrono) by my observation and this photo, and there's TWO for the chrono version too with your observation. Ok, what the hell is going on at IWC? Anyway, that proof there's two version, so now, the question is, wish one is the latest one Maybe an Europe version, and a American/North American version?
  11. That is a great idea K2222, and helpful for those who want to MOD our rep. Check if the polish part include the lug part too. For my part, I'll stay with the brush finish (for that moment), cuz I find the fibish identical and perfect by comparing to the gen I saw (but it was NON-chrono version, important to specify). Good luck K2222
  12. I visit an AD today, and the aquatimer (the non-chrono model) side finish is exactly the same finish than chrono rep, i.e it's a up/down brush finish. There's no polish side there, exept for the groove in the bezel. So your observation wants to say the gen chrono and the gen non-chrono don't have the same side finish, I'm perplex about this.
  13. I answered my own question, I visited a Breitling AD today and answer is: 1 - The bezel and subdial of gen are more whiter than the rep. 2- The sound when I tapped on sapphire on the gen it make a more solid sound than our rep.
  14. I don't want to cause deception (and I hesitate to write this) but I find it little too big for you too...maybe on a strap it will be less pro-eminent. I think for you the 42.5mm will be more "adequate", and more balanced. But again, it's a question of "style", if you want the watch take a huge place on your arm, in a fashion way, it's ok, but it is certainly not balanced like we see on these photos. Again, if you feel ok with a BIG watch on you, and lug to lug don't exceed the width of your wrist, and you can assume it, no problem.
  15. bump. the BR02 is a real tool watch...Square is nice, but too fashion IMHO. REP these watch...REP these watch... REP these watch... REP these watch...
  16. FYI Andrew has it too.
  17. I waiting since 9 dec 2007 to receive it, finally, it's here, my first Breitling:
  18. Definitively, I'll no re-luming the bezel part, I prefer the factory finish, even if there's no lume on it.
  19. For those who has it too, the bezel is not white, but more creamy, the gen has a creamy bezel too?
  20. Ho my God!, the AR on the gen is stronnnnnng. Very nice pic. When I'll buy a PO again (black one this time, I sold my Orange one...tired about "punk" orange ), it will go or sure for a AR treatment.
  21. On mine the AR is very good, you can live with it without problem. But mine will still go to Chief AR coating... I want the best of the best for this watch. It already look awesome like it is, it will look even more awesome after relume and AR coating
  22. I suggest to go to an AD to check it by yourself. This watch is very huge. Some with small wrist find it perfect, other, even with big wrist (by-tor sold his UPO for a 42mm PO) and find it overkill. It's a question of personnal taste not wrist size.
  23. Ok, now when is the next run for a "MIL ceramic coating" on my tooth
  24. Of course, it will be in for the AR Feb Chief run and a full servicing by The Zigmeister. I never cut corner
  25. I bought it from a very "trusted" dealer , and he "said" he inspected it...do your own conclusion. Mine is done
