  1. Another one. This is the white gold version.
  2. I guess some of ya have seen the new Big Pilot. What are your opinions? I love the old Big Pilot very much. But the new version has this clean look and appeals to me a great deal. I like the black date background and the power reserve dial and how it cuts into '2' and '4'. I know some people hated that, and hate the fact that '9' was removed in the new design. I personally feel that it looks gorgeous. If I have the money I wouldn't mind getting both. If I had the money, I would have one by now..hah Btw, the new BP will be available at the later part of the year. Here are some pics for comparison: Salivating yet? *wipes keyboard*
  3. Here is what Ken has to say... The price is a tad over USD700.... I am not that crazy over Rolex atm but liking 116520 very much. Not liking enough to pay that much tho..
  4. I have had past deals with Ken (187s .. and all was well) but I went along with EL for this one. Swiss is just too expensive for me atm.
  5. That is just AWESOME! You and your gal look great in those watches. You even tempt me on the pp24, which I will be making the order soon. My order made for the 116520 from EL.
  6. Hi there, I am new to rolexes. After seeing 116520 in another thread, I can't help but to go ahead with a purchase. But now, I need help to find a good rep of this watch. I am deciding between two dealers, etaworldgoods and Eddie Lee. Here are the comparison pics: From Eddie Lee From etaworldgoods; Swiss 7750 and I also noticed that the hands are polished. Not sure about price difference yet. Awaiting reply from them. Thanks in advance.
  7. Just to be sure the chronos are not workable, are they? What about the seconds subdials?
  8. What a coincidence! Sennsi's and mine arrived today too. Will post pics tonite.
  9. thomasng, always interesting to hear your opinions on watches. Your passion for watches shines through the stuff you post.
  10. @ mossanti & DaveR: Nope not gen. The dial is OEM tho. This watch is acquired from our beloved moderator TomBombadil, who had it for sale. I took the plunge and got it from him. Looks awesome. I love it. I hope to own a gen someday.... someday...... probably when I become old and look like this --->
  11. LOL!! Here ya go.... just for you.
  12. I just strap it on like how everyone does. Is a unique way I should know?
  13. Just received it a couple of hours ago.....and flew its way onto my wrist.
  14. Wow! Nice pic! Wicked strap!
  15. Bob, may I know where did you get your Steinhart BP from? They look sweeet! Care to point me the right direction?
  16. OMG!! I'm pissing in my pants! Me want!!
  17. Hi there, I was wondering if a damaged dial could be restored back to its original state? Here is a pic of it: As you can see, some of the markers has been scratched off and damaged. Wonder if this dial could be saved....
  18. If preowned gen could be obtained for $800, I would def. save and get that. No way a rep (serviced or not) could compare with a gen imo especially so when the price difference is not far apart. If you like it that much, a gen is the way to go.
  19. I'll be riding my own custom rep SLR to my local AD
  20. WARNING: LARGE PICS (Not that you can do anything since you have already click on the thread ) This watch is 43mm so I guess I don't mind wearing it. I spotted this watch on a watch mag when I was out yesterday @ Borders. On the wrist, it looks BADASS. Not as badass as 187 but still a watch with an attitude. An attitude with class imo. The pic in the mag showed a wrist shot with the hand on the gear shift of a SLR. The pic was tiny but it certainly caught my attention and was desperate to find out if & when it will be available to the public. Since it is limited edition, I assume the price will be pretty steep. If it is affordable (have to check wallet haha), I wouldn't mind jumping on this watch. Haven't really been interested in Tags for about close to 15 years? God I am old. But this one certainly smiles back at me. Just found out the price is about EURO3300! Kinda expected. Shucks. I have been saving up for a monster gen PAM and now this one. I guess I have to go down to my local AD and try it on and sees if it smiles back at me then!
  21. Posted Feb 15th 2006 12:05PM by Deidre Woollard Filed under: Timepieces TAG Heuer has a long history of racing and car inspired watches. Now they have created Avant-Garde chronographs inspired by legends of motor racing. Models include the TAG Heuer SLR for Mercedes-Benz, a new chronograph that comes in a limited edition of 3,500, shown here. The 43mm watch has its pushbuttons positioned on the top of the case, ergonomically inclined at 45 degrees and there is a second crown at 9 o'clock. The exterior bezel is polished in black finish and engraved "SLR." There are ten double index diamond facets and two rhodium-plated rings circle the counters at 3 and 9 o'clock. The new Carrera Tachymeter Racing (shown after the jump) has a tachymeter on its fixed bezel for calculating speed, red needles and beveled indexes and a rubber bracelet. This new watch will be available in April 2006. Tag Heuer is also launching a new Monaco Vintage Limited Edition to celebrate Steve McQueen's 75th birthday. The new version has a white dial with the red, white, and blue bands of the driving suit that the late actor wore in the movie Le Mans. It is available in a limited edition of 4,000. http://www.luxist.com/2006/02/15/tag-heuer...y-motor-racing/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ These two, my friends, have gotten me too excited. I wonder how much they costs?
  22. Awwww.. not another photo! That is just plain evil! You are making me salivate.... *wipes keyboard* exper, that is a wicked pic btw! (and undoubtedly a badass watch)
  23. The value depends on how much you think it is worth, and how bad you want it.
