Gotta love 028. Love mine to bits but after returning it for a change in the dial (received a diff one), this watch came back to me with a few deep dings on the side.

dadog13, you are right. I have already got one. But if a better one, comes up. ie. 7753 with exact casing, AR coating, polished hands, etc, as this one, I will jump on it without any second thoughts. Guess I am a nutter for 47mm submersibles. Even better if a 194 pops up!

Nice one kruzer00, would love to see the outcome of these great watches you have there. As for me, just these two for the moment: PAM 028 My watch came in with a different dial. Had to send it back to dealer for a change of dial, chinese supplier changed dial and send it back to me. Left with a few dings on the case. I am [censored]. SO DAMN [censored]. Seller not available at the moment so I thought, why not go for some modding. What I'll do is a general servicing of the watch (and possibly an illume from The Zigmeister.) After The Zigmeister's work is done, I'll have it bead-blasted and do a PVD makeover. Arktos 092 Watch DOA-ed. Exchanged for a new one. Again, DOA-ed. Again, [censored] off. Decided to do a project and get rid of the Asian 7750. Chatted with The Zigmeister and he hasn't done any work on this but willing to give it a shot. Planning to rehaul the 7750 and replace it with ______? The Zigmeister will be looking into this and hopefully, find a movement that will fit this watch. Wish me luck!

Time and money. If I can go both places, why not? considering it is only a mere few hours apart, like you said and a good few hundred dollars difference as well. With additional few days of hotel stays plus money for flight to GZ, I could have gotten a few watches for that money. I know where to get watches in Bangkok but not for GZ. There has been mixed reviews about GZ, hence my hesitation. Not to forget, the sole purpose for my trip there is watches. I wouldn't wanna spend my flight there to pick up a few watches and eventually have them gone to @#$. In my last trip to Bangkok, I totally enjoyed my time where I could go shop to shop to have a feel of the watches, chatting up with the peeps there about watches and what not, plus the bargaining makes the fun out of it all as well. Having gotten good watches from Bangkok, I would love to go again but wanna expand my horizon, so to speak. As for the sticker thing, it could very well be from a different factory and the dealers I have been dealing with, and quite possibly, the dealers do not have any affliation with them. Whatever, it is, I simply want my trip to be a fruitful one.

Reason why I am asking is, I am contemplating to either go to Bangkok this June to pick up those quality 'OTM' panerais or head down to Guangzhou to try my luck to hunt down the best sh*t I could possibly find and hope that when I get back home they won't go shizzle on me.

Really? Guess I was misinformed all this while. btw, what does the OTM sticker on the back of some PAMs represent? 'Original Taiwan Made'? No?

Hi all, This question kinda popped up when I was comparing the quality of watches sitting right before me. My PAM watches are either from China or from Taiwan. The Chinese ones I have gotten were from the dealers here as well as from ioffer.com (prior to stumbling upon this site). The Taiwan ones were obtained during my trip to Bangkok not too long ago. What I have observed is that some of China watches has repeatedly shown to be less reliable than those from Taiwan. I have at least 4 watches broken down on me which are Chinese-made, and the ones from Taiwan-have been going on strong..... so far *touch-wood* Funny thing is that I have owned these taiwan made watches for about a good couple of months longer than the other ones, and that kinda lead me to think that the taiwan-made products are more superior to the chinese ones. What are your thoughts on this? China or Taiwan? I read that EL's watches are from Taiwan... I might just invest getting my next few PAMs from him. Quarks

I am not sure to be honest. It is not casted, I am def sure of that. Or simply email Ken: i_watch_com@yahoo.co.jp He could provide some insights on this.... and maybe more. Yes, this watch is beast. I might do a comparison shot with the Arktos sometime.

Arktos is a wicked lookin' watch. I am waiting for the 186 GMT version to be out. How is your Arktos running? My Arktos from a dealer has been crap, movement wise (excellent dealer but bad Arktos). Movement went to sh*t after a few days. Exchanged it for a new one, guess what? Yep, dead on me yet again. Exchanging it for the third time. I predict it will go to sh*t again...lol Perhaps when I keep playing the exchanging game the new 186 version will arrive by then. Hope a better movement comes by. Sorry for bitching, but I am envious of your working watch. Nice pics btw and enjoy the watch!
