  1. Many thanks and yes I love (both of) you.
  2. Hi, does anyone know the hand hole size for the Seagull ST-19 please? Hour / Min / center secs??
  3. http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?213939-Omega-2254-50-strap-options Check out this thread on TZ-UK - see post #26. I have one of these (Hirsch Mobile) on my gen 2254.50 and I think it's great. BTW, what's the spec of your Franken? It looks great.
  4. It's genuine. Ironically these fetch less than the more common Mk II, even though the Lemania based movement is an excellent auto chrono. In this condition I would not like to pay more than £500 - £550 GBP. A full rebuild by Omega would be costly (probably another £550) but would leave it like new.
  5. I'm going to order one and then see if it's possible to drop in a gen / Lemania equivalent movement, gen dial etc. I have all the parts needed for another project so will be able to investigate the feasibility.
  6. The case looks like it's fairly accurate. If it is, then a gen dial together with a Tissot / Lemania movement and gen hands would make a killer rep / franken!!
  7. It looked identical to mine, which has been fitted with gen hands and datewheel, although mine has the fully brushed rep Pro2 bracelet.
  8. Looks great. Mine has a Swiss ETA movement and relumed dial, but the problem is the sub dial hands are loose, due to the mid-match between the Asian and Swiss fitting. Can anyone suggest a solution?
  9. I have a genuine NOS dial for one of these that has been sitting in my parts box for far too long. Also an unused Jimmy Fu case still in its wrapping, together with a Swiss ETA 6497-1. I seriously need to get this put together some day soon, unless someone wants to make me an offer I can't refuse.
  10. If they would replicate the slide rule and dial to be the correct size as well as accurate and add a properly replicated Breitling date wheel it would then be able to be 'frankened' using genuine parts.
  11. I also have one of these, fitted with a genuine Breitling B13 movement, complete with date wheel. I had an old low-beat Chrono Avenger with a dead movement, so the hi-beat & hands from the Skyland went into it and the low-beat hands were the correct ETA fitment for the Skyland, avoiding any 'bodging'. I have it on a gen Breitling brown leather deployant strap and it's a really cracking watch that is so easy to forget that it's a rep.
  12. I have the original low-beat Fighters which has already been fitted with a Swiss 7750 and gen dial (shaved) by The Zigmeister a few years ago. I also have one of the high-beat Fighters that has the non-sync slide rule - it appears to be the same case but with better bevel / chamfer on the lugs. I could use either case, although I would prefer to sell the one that's already modded to help fund the next one. I was thinking that by using a gen slide rule the dial wouldn't need to be shaved to fit and also the slide rule would sync with the dial properly.
  13. I have just collected a genuine dial, genuine slide rule insert, gen handset, gen date wheel (all 6-9-12 Old Navitimer II) and a Swiss ETA 7750, with the intention of transplanting them into a "Fighters" case. This case looks like a better option but I'm just wondering if the gen stuff will fit.
  14. My 3717 was modded some time ago with a Swiss 7750 installed and the rep dial and hands relumed. My problem now is that the sub dial hands are too loose. Does anyone have a source for genuine hands that would fit the Swiss movement properly?
  15. OK, I'll take a few pics shortly.
  16. Very, very nice. This is a stunning watch. I picked up a genuine 1962, 2998-6 last year, that was complete and original, except the replacement crown and a missing pusher button. I swapped the crown for an old style one and salvaged a pusher button from a Tissot chrono that shared the same size pushers. A service and a new crystal completed the project. Mine has the Dauphine hands, straight, white centre chrono secs hand and the later (current) type of sub-dial hands. I just need to get a suitable bracelet to finish it off.
  17. The inserts aren't removable and it is the whole bezel that's out of line. The only way to realign the bezel is to remove it completely and reposition it. However, don't try to pry it up as it may bend. There is a tool which grips it and lifts it evenly - a bit like a crystal press in reverse. Registered post would be my choice for delivery. However, I'm in the UK and I understand you're in Greece so maybe there would be a better alternative. I know another watch collector in Greece and I have had dealings with him. I could ask him for advice, although I have sent a number of watches back and forwards without incident.
  18. If you do want to send it for repairs and service, can I suggest STS (Swiss Time Services) in UK. They are the official Omega service centre in the UK and the chief watchmaker is a guy called Simon. He is totally sympathetic to vintage pieces and can be trusted to not alter the integrity of an original watch. Talk to him about what you want done; more particularly what you don't want done. I've sent you a PM and would be happy to advise - vintage Speedmasters are my 'thing'.
  19. Hi, thanks very much. I haven't been on the forum for ages and have kinda lost touch with what's going on. How's things with you - still interested in the Panerai? Cheers, Tom

  20. I have obviously been out of the loop for a while but can anyone confirm which casebacks are available from Jacob, and contact details please?
  21. A genuine SA bracelet at what appears to be a good price. http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=142762 Maybe someone here would be interested - I have no connection with the seller.
  22. +1 for the BOB straps - the tang buckle versions.
  23. Possibly the most satisfying rep ever. I have all three (that's how much I like them) and I have a Swiss movement with ETA datewheels in the black dial SS model. I also have a gen dial for this one, but not fitted yet, so that will resolve any lume issue. Far too many watches so I would be willing to sell one of them if you're interested.
  24. Excellent. Mine has just arrived back too, with dial (and hands from a low-beat V1 chrono Avenger) lumed, genuine Breitling cal.13 movement (pre-1994 non-decorated) and gen datewheel. Now fitted with a genuine Oceanracer strap & genuine deployant clasp, this looks and feels soooo gen. A keeper for sure.
  25. Hi Warren, that looks just awesome. Was the PVD / DLC by The Zigmeister? I have a similar one to assemble just as soon as I can organise a slot with The Zigmeister, although mine will be a 9B - gen case & crystal, gen crown and CG, gen base L dial, 6497-2 movement and rep B series (EL) caseback. This will probably be my last PAM rep, although I also have an unused JF caseset & CG, gen white base dial and CdG Swiss movement. Just too many watches and not enough funds.
