  5. About a 1 1/2 yrs ago i bought a brand new Rolex Explorer 2 White dial (gen) I wore it for about a year and then for my dads birthday he was talking about wanting a watch he's always love Patek and just never bought one. So I ended up selling my Gen Exp 2 and adding a few 1000s to buy him a PATEK PHILIPPE 5396R He loves it and a plus i wear it once an a while lol. Somthing that will be passed down generation to generation. Lets hear some of your stories.

  7. Hello All ive been addicted to watches of all types since i was about 5. Alittle backround about myself is that im 30yrs old I have been working on watches restoring and servicing them for about 6 yrs. Im self taught and figured I love watches so much I made the descision to make it my lifes work. I applied to two watchmaking schools here in the US to get certified so down the line I can accomplish my goal to work for Rolex. I applied to NAIOSW in Dallas TX and also Nicolas G. Hayek Watchmaking School in Miami. I should know if i got in after the new year. Wish me luck. This forum seems very down to earth and the posts ive read so far everyone seems very nice. Hopefully ill be able to get to know some of you and maybe make some friends down the way. Thanks for letting me into your world and hopefully my bank account doesnt go empty.
  8. These courses are just courses for someone to learn just the basics and you wont be certified to work on any watches if you got a job at a jewlery shop. As someone who is self taught and has been working and restoring watches for over 6yrs ive applied to two of the top watchmaking schools in the US. Nicolas G. Hayek Watchmaking School – Miami. which i believe is asociated with SWATCH Group and I applied also to NAIOSW school in Dallas TX. These schools after the 2yrs and 3,000hrs of work you become a certified watchmaker C21 Certified. Hopefully by 2020 ill be certified and working on getting into one of the Rolex Boutiques.
  9. New to the Forum but love watches, ALL watches Replicas, Gens, Frankens the list goes on. I dont have a wrist shot for today but I ordered my first watch from Andrew at Trustytime and should be here in a week or so. Looks like its running well but as soon as i get it im going to overhaul it and adjust it to 5positions so i can try to get COCS specs out of the movement.
