  1. To be honest it did blow my mind when i saw it and hes looking to sell it if the right buyer comes around but im not trying to sell it for him. I dont want anyone to get that idea that im posting from him to help him sell. I could care less if he sells it or not. I just thought ppl would like to see a gen 5517 with papers that was in really good condition. I also agree my pictures are horrible in this post i had to use my work iphone 5c (didnt have the iphone7 on me at the time) and later on the pics i take will be the a hell of alot better, with serial numbers and paperwork so everyone can see. I just think its amazing that he got the watch and its in such great condition and the paperwork looks like the last owner didnt even fold it, just kept it in a folder.
  2. This isnt a prank guys i looked at this in person yesterday. The only thing that might have been changed was the bezel. The pics i took dont help either but ill get better ones this evening. Everyone says its a rep now just like the post about someones New Ceramic Daytona and the owner asked whats gen and whats rep on it and everyone thought it was a fraken but it was completely gen. Ill try to find the link to the post. Dont judge quite yet. Also the movement is gen that i know for sure and ill snap pics of it tonight along with the paperwork box and serial numbers on the watch. Heres the link to the Completely Gen Daytona which lots of ppl said this or that looked rep and like crap but in the end it was 100% GEN When i get better pictures tonight youll see that its gen.
  3. So i stoped by my friends shop yesterday and he had somthing amazing for me to see! Sorry for the crappy pics ill be going back today to get some good close ups and caseback and movement pics. He also has the original paperwork that was issued with this watch 40 or so yrs ago. Its in great condition never been polished and runs like a champ. I put it on next to my explorer 2 and tried to trade but he wasnt having it lol. Hes looking for around 130,000$ for the watch and paperwork/. Does that sound low with original paperwork?
  4. Heres a gen Milsub 5517 everyone will love.
  5. Save yourself a 100$ there both the same. Both good quality. Eta is just a well know brand name and ppl charge more for that. IMOP
  6. @Sogeha Thanks for that I thought there was only one size. I really like these models, simple, clean and a classic look. the only thing that im not to hot with is the little plots before the hour markers, some of the colors just dont work for me personaly. Like The purple dial has a red or redish orange plots which i dont think works very well. My own oppion tho.
  7. I think the only correct spacing for the registers will be the Val 72 in this model and the eta 77xx might work but im not sure about the spacing. The Eta 2892-A2 DD Mod on it has the seconds running at 3 o'clock or 6 o'clock but im not sure they have it runing seconds at 9 for those eta's I could be wrong. Best thing to do is take a look at one of the Heuer fourms that focus only on heures they might know. I forgot what the forum was called but its only for Heure watches.
  8. Stormtooper4 I believe i bought the 39mm. Ill post pics how it looks when i get it. The gen is in only one size right? 39mm right? I dont think they make the gen in 34mm but im not 100% sure? Also all the videos i see about the purple rep looks great, the color looks really damn close to gen. It remindes me of the sunburst style dials they do. Hopefully it looks as good or better in person.
  9. yup just ordered one in the "grape" color for my sister.
  10. if the movement is a cheap chinese time only movment and not a 75xx movement then theres no way to make the chonos work with out swaping the movemnt and most likely it wont fit your case.
  11. The eta 2846 is your best bet without a date which would have only winding and time setting but you can do it with any eta movement to make it time and winding set only, very easy to do and only need to swap out one part.
  12. I could see these at a Pam Boutique selling for 100$ a piece. Beautiful!!! GREAT WORK!!!
  13. If you didnt move the feet around then im thinkng this could be a get. Everything is nicely done but the word Automatic seems like its done with a differnt paint when they applied it to the dial, it looks thicker im 70% thinking its gen and 300% rep. lol
  14. Ive never been a huge Breitling fan and i cant see myself spending 3000-4k on a watch with a eta7750 that has a small tweak to call it a in house movement. theres tons of companies that make true from scratch 100% in house movements for under 4k. But to each its own and to be honest I really like the black dial lol.
  15. Love the watch, LOVE The texture of the dial and the black band. What size is the watch? im guessing its 42-44mm if so its too big for me. But Its a SWEET WATCH!!!!
  16. Listen People If you by a watch with a chronograph its ment to BE USED!!! Not just sit there becuse you think it will break the movement. Have the asain 7750 movement serviced and it will be as reilable or even better then some swiss 7750s. The asain 7750 serviced can have the chronograph running non stop without any problems. Thats what those movements are built for to time events. DONT BE SCARED TO USE THE CHRONOGRAPH!!!! Its there for a reason. I have a few asain chronograph 7750s and i serviced them and some arent serviced and i use the chronograph ALL the time and never have I had one problem. USE IT AND ENJOY!!!
  17. V72 Serviced price can go from 900$ to 2000$ depending on the brand of watch that used the movement and what the bridges are marked. I would say a semi running V72 would start at about 1000$US It all depends running, not running, rusted, NOS, old and needs lots of TLC prices can vary. The Enclair you can easily get 1300$ serviced if you want to sell it. Also depends on the finishing. Gen Rolex 703 Crown And Tube 85-130$ US heres one with a tube on ebay for 115$ http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-crown-7mm-24-703-Tube-16600-16800-16610-AAA-condition-/152368732652?hash=item2379e259ec:g:Kh8AAOSwa~BYXtED Heres a V72 that is missing most of the chrono parts and has a balance without shock absorbing springs (old school balance) and they way 495$ US on ebay so a complete V72 Serviced you can get easily 1300$+for, (Again depending on the finish of the movement)
  18. heres a gen, your pic looks like the numbers on the dial are a little skinner and the second track doesnt look as bright white and thick, and the 10 looks completely different from your pic compared to the gen pic I have. Lets see the back and the side angle of the dial. I could be wrong but im thnking its a rep dial. Hpepfully im wrong.
  19. Ive been looking at this forum for almost a year and a half and then finally joined, Let me just say I LOVE IT HERE!!!. Now on to the real topic. Im looking for some reps that I havent seen for a long time. I want a all yellow gold day date but in 36mm. and I also would love to see if i could get my hands on a great mid size datejust or a 31mm anything rolex. It would be for my ladie since the women do not like the small watches anymore. If anyone has any info on great quality all gold Rolex or anyother watches that you think would be worth my time and effort in a size 40mm or smaller please let me know. I love all types of colored dials expect MOP (mother of pearl) dials so if you have somthing please let me know. AND PLEASE NO NO NO DAY DATE 2's and perferably smooth bezels. The Day-Date would be for me. Thanks Guys and Gals. I love this dial set up Or the 36mm in this pic. The Blue is AMAZING!!!
  20. Its a tough call because even some of the asain eta movements have the Eta engravings, the best way is to see where the top cap jewels for the balance wheel on top have two notches to remove the jewel and the shock absorbing spring.
  21. Alright sounds good as soon as i know i will grab them and get all the exact info for everyone.
  22. Yea thats what im waitng on as well. If we get a good price on the whole lot im hoping on keeping each movement under 180$ thats for the regular movements without any decoration or chronometer status. Those most likely will be 200$+ I will let you know ASAP.
  23. Hey guys since eta movements have been getting harder and harder to get ahold of, ive been talking with a friend who owns a jewlery/watch repair shop and he told me he has a chance to buy around 250 NOS(New Old Stock) ETA movements most of them being High Beat 28,800 but a few 2846 21,600 beat movements i believe 50-75 of those and 10-20 real low beat 18,000 movements not sure what the movement numbers are exactly for those yet, Those real low beat movements would be perfect for vintage rolex projects. What im wondering is if anyone would be intrested in buying movements on there own for projects or whatever you need them for. I would not need any money or payment upfront just wondering if you guys had any intrest in these movements. These are NOS movements meaining they have never been used in a watch but i would still say they would need a cleaning and adjustment to make them run in tip top. There are about 20-30 top grade finished movements like this, I also believe there are a hand full of Chronometer Movments. I will have to double check on those. The rest will be standard finish movements. These Pics are NOT of the actuall movements I will be getting they are just here to show what they will look like when it comes to finishing of the movement. I should have pics of the actuall movements after the holidays.
  24. My opinoin here is that durring the life of the watch I think parts might have been swaped out and added. The 18j writing im not to sure about. Like i said before, I think that a watchmaker that was working on it insted of ordering the correct parts had extra newer movement parts and made them work. Thats why you have a mismash of parts and writing. I might not be 100% correct but thats my 2cents. Merry Christmas!!!
  25. Beautifulllll!!! I just picked one of these up from Trusty and I love it. The only thing that I wish I would have done is buy the CHS(Correct hand Stack) which was only 50$ or so dollars more. Might have to pick that up next to see if its worth it. Great pics!!!
