i used the crystal from cousins uk -

    IMG_5846.jpg

and yes - you can press it out with your fingers - but to assemble the watch again

you will need an crystal press.

    cheers,

    Frank

    Thanks again Frank :thumbsupsmileyanim:

VERY intresting thread You had there :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I will try change the crystal in the weekend :whistling:

BTW do the genuine crown fit on the repica tube on the VM9 v1,5 ? or do I have to change the tube to an anther one?

  2. you find everything in my old Euromariner post : *click*

or here is the short version ;) :

    cheers,

    Frank

Thanks a lot for that Frank! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

It is a VM9 v1,5 from Precious time I am working with!

I have taken away the retaining ring and the crystal is still in the retaining ring ?? Is that the usual case ?

How do I remove the crystal from the retaining ring ?

Do I have to use the press or can I press it out with my fingers?

I am going to fit a clarks 295 C2 on this case (VM9 V1,5) and this should fit without any modding or ?

  3. Just for a comparison sake, here's his latest L-dial he uses on 111E now.

Bar the slightly off L Swiss L font under 6 o'clock - a flippin' good looking dial, IMO!

That number 6 is PERFECT! ;)

    DSCF1537.jpg

YES it is a VERY nice dial!

It is "only" the "LUMINOR" printing that is a little to near the 11 and 1 a clock markers I think !

  4. Dr...have a look at DSN's latest 001/004/040 "T-dial".

Not bad at all, IMO...if you don't mind a slightly wrong font of the T SWISS T text.

DSN is currently the only Luminor historic sausage rep dial maker that got that overhang on number 6 finally sorted, both on his latest iteration on T-dial as well as L-dial.

The Luminor and Panerai dial text is great to boot on this dial.

I love this dial from DSN, it is now one of my favorite pams. I bought a set of hands for it as well and they matches the diallume quite well I think.

BUT this dial is a little more matte black in the colour!

  5. Hello pamlovers!

Here is my pam 002 that now is completed ( I think !)

    2006 cartel case

    dsn caseback

SL T48 crown ( thanks "T" for this beautiful crown :thumbsupsmileyanim: )

CG closes VERY hard and with a clear sound ( like Babola talked about !)

Cartel dial relumed by The Zigmeister

    What do You think ?

  6. Seems to me like almost every gen rolex I've handled has had the winding direction turn in the same direction of the crown, i.e., clockwise.

Yet all rep movements, both Asian and Swiss are opposite.

Seems weird that we are so fanatical about the tiniest of details when one of the largest inconsistencies goes untalked about. Thoughts?

All my genuine Rolex watches has the same winding direction and that is clockwise and have not found any movement ( even replica ones !) that not does winds up clockwise.

  7. I asked the same question a couple of days ago, on his thread, but nobody seems to have one installed yet. I had expected my crowns a while back, but surprisingly just received the tracking info the other day ... so maybe there was a delay and most members don't have them yet.

    OK thanks Drulee :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Then we wait and see! :whistling:

  8. Hi all railmaster lovers! :)

I have seen a lot of nice pictures of the railmaster with the aligator strap with deployment clasp on it and it looks fantastic BUT:

Do You know if it really IS GENUINE aligator leather in the strap ( with deployment clasp!) that perfect clones and trusty etc sell for 78 $? :whistling:

And do You know how LONG each of the strap-parts are ? :whistling:

Most replica straps is in gator ( only printed aligator/crocodile pattern on leather !)

PLEASE show Your Railmasters with the straps You have on them :clapping:

  9. that's odd since PT informed me not so long ago that I had purchased the last one, in fact he gave me a good deal in order to rid him self of it. im curious to see what you get from him in the mail then.

I think it will be the version with the engraved rehaut, that is not as nice as the V3 ! :whistling:

  10. Loved my v1. Best SELs ever.

    IMG_0687.jpg

    3.jpg

But make no mistake, as a rep v2 is superior. The lume is 99% gen-like.

I just got a separate V1 bracelet (for my LV!) from PT and the endlinks is a lot better than all others I think :)

And the solid midlinks makes it fell more solid than the hollow midlinks.

  11. Milgausser is a price gouger!

Yes it is the correct crown, but then you'd have to use the 24-6030-0 tube which is 5.3mm and 2.5mm hole size. The existing hole in your rep case is 3.0mm probably. Capisce?

OK thanks now I understand :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Milgausser is a price gouger! But You can make an offer on his prices !

A genuine new DJ crown is about 90 $ at my AD is that about how much they used to cost ?
