That's cuz no one is buying the BP version and there is plenty of stock..lol You need to make your own assessment and decision. At the end of the day you will be wearing it. I think with the sub C . Noob v7 is considered superior as per our expert on the subs . SpongeBob( username is complicated) is a member on rwi and is based in Taiwan. You can send your watch to him and he will enhance the insert close to gen. He uses a platinum paint mod and a very special process to achieve the desired results. My understanding is that he sources the v2j from JF factory and further enhances it by shaving the case back to gen specs as you pointed out not a difficult mod. V2j is available from all dealers and below are the updates on this version V2 Updated 1. New version buckle with new engraving as latest genuine AP bracelet. 2. New version screws of the bracelet as latest genuine AP bracelet 3. New version dial 4. New case back engraving as per genuine 5. The one you listed is V1 noob with shitty movement init but from what I recall it's quite reliable. There is a discussion on rwi on it which makes it quite a compelling buy noting the price point. It does have some very obvious flaws such as the pearl on the bezel .As legend outlined you need to work out what works for you. You'll always come across a better version visually/ movement wise and regret not spending the extra 100 bucks. Also keep an eye on m2m, at times there are decent watches .
