  1. I figured as much since I couldn't find any others. Thanks for helping me out
  2. I dont think I did this officially yet....my bad. Im in Oklahoma right now, soon moving to jackson, MS pursuing an internal medicine residency. I am on here way more than I should be, but I think it keeps me sane. I love watches............
  3. I searched for a while on the internet and here trying to figure this out, but couldn't get a definitive answer, so I'm throwing this out there to someone with more expertise. What dial colors has the gen YM come in? I don't particularly like the Rolesium, and I was just browsing thinking about getting one with a different color dial... Thanks all
  4. I...need....this...watch....so...bad...ahhhhh. Any updates on when a good rep will be released?
  5. wow this is a great looking rollie, and I'm not a big fan in general. This one I might actually spring for. going to look for more info on this one right now...
  6. I was actually surprised at how good the superocean Heritage looks on a leather band. I was partial to the rubber strap when I first saw it in an AD. Not a big fan of the mesh strap, but I can understand why some purists would be. Just wondering what everyone else thinks, and if anyone has tried a different combination that worked.
  7. My mistake. I was on the breitling website after checking out this thread, and mistakenly assumed the model in the 360 view was new. Should have read more carefully and I'd have known that was the old model, not a newer one.....my bad... I actually like the old bracelet better....now I have to figure out if I can get ahold of one and if it will fit....
  8. The newest gen has a different band, also, with rectangular links as opposed to the diagonal ones on the original
  9. This looks surprisingly good on the croc strap too. Great looking watch and good pics
  10. Two questions... does the dial have lume on it or just the hands? and Does anyone have before and after pics of a lume job?
  11. Yeah this just got added to the must have list....
  12. Get it AR'd.... at the heart of the substance of a wrist watch, especially one this size, is telling the time quickly, right? Even if I had the gen I would get AR on it. Why spend this kind of money on a time piece and not be able to tell the time easily? That being said, the rest of the rep had better be impeccable if you plan on defending its authenticity, because anyone who knows watches will scrutinize it more closely if they notice that it has AR, and you have to be able to back it up. IMHO
  13. Those pics are phenomenal, and that black is sick. Solid looking piece
  14. Stupid question, but I have no gen dealer to check out. Does the 40mm/44mm/47mm reference to size on PAMs include the crown guard? I'm really trying to gauge whether one will fly in a professional setting. Thanks
  15. I just have to tell you again how ridiculous this watch is. I am going to start work on my own, mostly in part to your wrist shots. Thanks for your advice. Wear it well.
  16. Looking to buy an inexpensive used PAM to start working on. I had originally been looking for a 112 or 104 but this one looks tempting and is pretty inexpensive. Any input on accuracy of this piece, and if it's a good buy as a start for a project? Just starting to get my feet wet here. Thanks http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=69378
  17. http://www.panerai.com/s_page.xpd?id_lingu...id_categoria=40
  18. Have searched for a Black Seal automatic on the forum and dealer sites, and haven't found one yet. Is this a new PAM model that hasn't been repped yet, am I losing my ability to use a search engine, or am I otherwise mistaken in searching for this watch.... Little help to keep me from feeling like Im an idiot.... thanks
  19. I just scoured the Panerai website looking for a piece with a datewheel and a visible movement but was disappointed not to find one. Is there a rep made by our dealers of an older watch with both of these? Sorry, my knowledge of vintage pieces pales in comparison to that of most.... Thanks newdoc
  20. Any wrist shots of this piece? Also, I couldn't find much other info about this watch on the forum. I actually like it alot; can you fill me in on why its not very popular? Just wondering. Thanks
  21. Thanks dluddy. The "can I pull it off" is a consideration... I am making a resident's salary right now which comes out to about....10$/hr (80hrs a wk...........) I don't think I can wear a watch that could be worth three times what my current vehicle is.... I'm really not a big fan of the SFSO. Too much going on with the dial, and I am for some reason opposed in principle to dive watches made by Breitling, because their timepieces were originally made for pilots, of course. I think about buying in the context of my having unlimited funds in order to keep myself from making a "good buy" on a watch I don't really like. I wouldn't buy the SFSO despite its status as such a great rep. You can bet that I wish I liked it more though.... I need to take a better look at the Roadster. I like it, but I thought that the dial wasn't very well repped. Maybe I'm mistaken. I know that the Santos 100 dial was/is a problem. I didn't know the Heritage was repped. I think I could be persuaded to get that in addition to a more versatile watch...I picked the gen. out of the Breitling case the other day; IMHO it's one of the best looking Breitlings... so much to think about with so much work to do
  22. Wow guys, thanks for the great suggestions. I am going to look at the Roadster and the Nautilus when I get a chance. I think I may have missed out on this buy last night http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=68643 I didn't have time to really do my research. Back to the grind... Going to check these out later today when I get some downtime.
  23. It has been a few months now that I've been watching the forum, and I have to admit it has become something of an addiction. I haven't actually pulled the trigger on a rep yet, though, because I've been too indecisive and am still regretting my first purchase....a fantasy green bezel GMT Master2 that set me back a whole 120 bucks. So as an admitted newb I'd like to ask for any suggestions based on the following to see if anyone has any novel or insightful opinions 1. I'm looking for something that is eyecatching but not over the top that I could pull off with a tie but would set off something casual as well. I like some of the simple sporty PAMs but don't know if they're too big or gaudy... 2. Price isn't a huge object I just want to make a good investment. Should I start with an inexpensive rep like those on the 'top ten under 150' list and make mods for better lume, better accuracy, etc... 3. Accuracy and reliability are high priorities...(does this go without saying?) so i have ruled out looking at chronos or ones with most complications because it seems even most gmt movements don't correspond with the gens... 4. Personal preference... Has to have a date... That's just me 5. Something less popular or not cliche would be ideal. I've ruled out black Subs and a handful of other Rollies for that matter. few quick examples of then any suggestions would be much appreciated. Most simple breitlings and pam's seem eye catching but could be worn in a professional setting. Same with omegas like the railmaster but it's sans date.... The sub pretty much fits the bill except for the fact that everyone I know who has a nice watch has one. I may go for a mille miglia and upgrade strap and lume. Hopefully this is conveying the theme I'm getting at. Thanks all. Glad to be a part of the forum
  24. Thanks for the comments. Any glaring flaws? I know with a less popular watch like this that chance of anyone on the street catching a rep is minimal unless there is some huge size or color difference between the rep and the gen. That's all Im trying to avoid....
  25. http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...roducts_id=2590 Any thoughts or reviews of this circulating that I couldn't find? I kind of like it. I know it's not a purists watch, but it caught my eye.
