  1. The drinks at lunch in NYC only occur when someone comes in from out of town.
  2. I am happy to take the credit when there actually is one. My point is simply that many months ago when we first discussed this Ken let us know that they would be considering it over the Summer. Now it does appear they will do it and if they can use SS markers screwed down with the AR coat crystal and etched He Valve as the Honpo version originally was with the proper movement we will have one hell of a watch.
  3. The straps and buckles do come up fairly frequently on Ebay.
  4. Alternatively, you could simply buy those Panerai wallclocks offered on ebay and add a few screws to the top and a belt for a strap. You guys are nuts.
  5. To the best of my knowledge Lollipop is right. The high end PAM's seem to come out of two different factories,
  6. They do look great but I am going to have to call Chicago in the next few weeks. Still want that movement.
  7. No one listens to me. I have been telling everyone the 7753 is coming for months. And Ken has never said it wasn't.
  8. Both have the "large" bridge old school unitas. No Rolex/Cortebert movements.
  9. I vote for limited edition coming out shortly.
  10. Very nice to have you back. I look forward to your new more organized system.
  11. Arch- Good news on the movement. I hope the project is going well. Jonathan- If it is a seagull movement you may be able to source a new stem since they are a legitimate movement manufacturer.
  12. Pictures don't do them justice (especially my pictures).
  13. Looking at it again and loving it. Someone had mentioned that the pin on the CG is not coated and it shouldn't be on either the 04 or the 09. Great looking watch.
  14. Just trying to save other folks some heartache.
  15. Great pics. As I mentioned in another post just be careful polishing those markers. If you are not careful you can wear away the chrome coating.
  16. I have the Honpo version and those markers are screwed down tightly. That is the good news. The bad is that you have to be careful when polishing (even by hand) the markers. I ran the cape cod one too many times across the bezel markers and what I am finding is that I have worn away the chrome (??) coating on the base metal of the bezel markers. So polish gently. Similarly, if you really whack the bezel in the wrong way you can similarly end up looking at the base metal which looks like copper or some other similarly colored metal.
  17. The Date mag does look great. I am wondering if it is a two lense system. Watch looks great.
  18. Well, for those who like more accurate reps this may be a good thing. Higher prices means slow down in demand which implies requirement to improve quality to sell the same number of units. Either that or they will build them with even more shoddy "standards" to protect profitability.
  19. Chrono- I suspect you are longing for an F series. The rep being sold should probably be marked as a D or E. Finepics is right that that the C is the 64 (black) and the first 87 with the short marker is a D. Since the F is where PAM significantly darkened the dial and the one you are showing shows a corrected marker but still lighter dial (I think?) I will guess you are longing for the E and the rep should be marked D.
  20. By the way, I just noticed that Josh appears to have them again. http://perfect-clones.com/pn03601-titanium...6497-p-774.html
  21. I definitely don't mistake you for a Frenchman.
  22. Actually we are all wasting brain cells. We are responding here. Just remember: A rep is not a rep. A gen is not a gen. A watch is a watch. Some are put together better than others though. And by the way any watch regularly serviced by a good watchsmith is most likely better than its counterpart. What does this have to do with the topic? No idea.
