  1. I believe they all do. The mod is a no-brainer as all you are doing is sanding down a little rubber. You may as well have them do it though.
  2. Diver V3 is going to be more accurate. No chrono module /offset pusher issue and case will be the right thickness. The A7750 based movement requires a thicker case and caseback than the LWO 283 gen equivalent movement. If you really are indifferent between the automatic diver and the offshore chrono than it is a no brainer. Diver.
  3. All the dealers sell the same models (other than a one-off like the Montauk Highway). They come from the same factory. Just look at your favorite dealer's seconds at 12 section and you will see the difference. I looked quickly yesterday and there is a limited edition which has a white dial with blue accents and pushers and that is a good example of the better date placement.
  4. Does anyone remember the legendary Muller Vegas. Many years ago I compared my rep to a friend's gen (which he actually bought after a good night in Vegas) and my rep roulette mechanism was better than the gen. That was when I knew Muller was overpriced jewelry.
  5. For either 18 months or 3 years now with Facebook's revised privacy policy. However when someone else posts an embarassing pic on their wall of you are most likely memorialized forever. And with the current state of facial recognition you are basically compromised. So next time you have a job interview.....be afraid. By the way Google now has an even more frightening privacy policy. They have just centralized their data collection amongst all their products - google plus, search engine, google maps, etc. Unless you are very careful they will have an even better profile of you than facebook. But no, they haven't crossed the divide of specifically selling your unique data, yet.
  6. I thought that was looking a little too good. You will have to take a look at the specific model you want to buy and focus in the spacing between the date window and the inner tachy ring. You want to get as close to one full bar of "tapisserie" as possible in between.
  7. Yeah, it was a special for RWG. Pay the money and don't get anything. I had thought he subsequently got out of all Rolex rep stuff as Rolex lawyers were going after him.
  8. I built a few frankens and it was a long time ago but I remember the PO's being all over the place....the infamous "happy feet logo" on some, heV off kilter on others. the bezel being the wrong color on the orange ones and that horrible blue AR. There was one of two versions of the PO's that were damn good but certainly not "best out of the box".
  9. Whichever one you buy make sure it has the better date placement away from the inner tachy ring and if possible the ar'ed cyclops and better datewheel. I am not sure which models have been updated but someone else can pipe in.
  10. Stay away. He is not a scammer but he already screwed up on a number of members including me.
  11. On the date window you would think it would be the same size and placement but you would have to be sure you can fit the rep date wheel as there is no aftermarket one. I wouldn't think it would affect date placement or size but the functionality is different with running seconds on the main canon pinion.
  12. Great look. Wear it well.
  13. Excellent point on the Breits. The original Chrono Avenger back in 2004 or so was world class out of the box. And the Skyland and Chronomat Evo were awesome as well.
  14. Simply due to open caseback. The rep movements are good but will never be close enough to gen to make any of those watches a "best out of box". On the wrist they are every bit as good but....
  15. I have been sitting on a pristeen complete gen set-up bought a few years ago from a dear friend on the forum (missing only a movement and hands) so I am waiting with baited breath. And the funny thing is that I was about to send it to a friend so I do owe him an apology (actually I already apologized when I saw this post )......so the dream continues on my end. It has to be better than the original horrow show movement.
  16. Very kind but in reality I am down to an older gen and was fortunate it to buy it from another forum member a few years ago as original owner. I am keeping it as is. I still have the original crystal and main spring from 1966.
  17. I made a fantasy. I loved the dial and love the sandblasted CP case. I can't tell you how many compliments I have gotten on this watch from a number of folks. Also the ti case wears much lighter.
  18. "Inner case" is absolutely SS. I just had no idea that is the bulk of the watch.
  19. Wow, I just looked at his website. He has great stuff.
