  1. DMS, did you get it from trusty? I see he added some QA pics here 4 days ago. http://imgur.com/a/vn0Rm
  2. Looks super nice!!!! I still did not pull the trigger yet.
  3. A couple of small screws, changing straps does not get any easier. 005 Noob is a way to go.
  4. Very nice, that was a super nice and detailed review!!!
  5. 60mm... That is just awesome. The fact also is that Panerai watches are so well designed, they just work on small wrists. Unlike many much cheaper brands that just look dorky. But you can wear any Panerai, 44 - 47mm or few other brands who have designers that understand watch design really well and can pull a 44mm+ watch that will work well on smaller wrists.
  6. I have been looking around and I have not seen any reps of these 3 models. I'm really surprised there is nothing as I imagine there would be relatively big interest in those, especially at the Noob quality of new Pam's.... Bell & Ross BR2-93 Heritage Heritage BR 123 Vintage BR 123
  7. Hmm... good question Perry. We have only 2 choices and that seems too many, haha... I just want a PVD. Maybe just get V2 and don't worry about details, service that movement and enjoy.
  8. 6.5" wrist is all cool. Mine is even smaller and 111 works really well for me. But like Projectologist said, it's all about the shape of your wrist and also not getting super thick strap.
  9. That's very nice that you have Gen 111. And based on that what I'm going to say is purely personal preference and what I would choose. PAM 000 - Since you own gen 111 getting 000 does not really make much sense since you are not getting something that "very" different. PAM360 - I would disagree with your "what a rep" statement 100%. I live in a heavy Panerai owners area where I can sometime run into up to 3-4 people wearing one in one day in a worst case. Bunch of people wear them at my work, all gens. In past 7 years I never had "is it real"? question come up. Even after letting some people handle my 111 or Black Seal rep. There is really 99.999999% chance someone would ever question 360. Regatta 286 - That design is super nice, it's 1950 case, not radiomir. I had one which was the 1950 from back 2006 until my movement broke for a second time and my synthetic sapphire glass got so scratched I threw it into trash. So if you can get one with sapphire glass and hopefully better movement then what they were back in 2006 that this is a nice choice. This watch has a different case shape that just wears really well for some reason. Black Seal 380 - I still have one that I bought when they first came out, old Eddie Lee rep from I think late 2005 or 2006. I only wear it few times a year. The biggest issue is the metal they use for the crown threads, it will wear out and the watch is trash. Cheap asian, some worse material they could find. I believe they are still like that, so getting that 380 could be a risk. I think my Black Seal may probably have 50 winds left at best. So if you wear that every day it will be gone in 2 years or so. I would be surprised if they use better materials for the threads. Someone here may know that much better then me. My choice would be 360. Regatta is super sweet too but I'm not up to date as far as how that rep has improved since I had it. Hope that helps.
  10. Thank you Projectologist. Also what I am seeing from your posts is that you own a genuine and the V1 rep. So if you say things like "Slap a ST-36 movement in a V1 and you're good to go" and "Actually the V2 case isn't any more accurate than V1..." - it looks to me like getting less expensive V1 and ST-36 movement for it makes most sense. Which is what I think I will do... THANKS!
  11. In addition, this is totally my personal preference but I think that the classic dial in 005 is way cooler then sandwich dials. I have a 111 that's about 7 years old now with the classic dial and I have Black Seal with sandwich dial. I think sandwich dials look weak. Again this totally my personal view, others may think different. Plus the look and finish of the movements is still far from gen, you can easily tell rep movement. If you get a watch with closed back you don't have to ever think about it. Also the shape of the tip of the crown guard lever is incorrect in that 111, at least in the pics on the site, it looks better in his QA pics, must be better run. In 005 although not perfect it is slightly better and closer to the gen. And that sticks out really a lot to my eye. Hope that helps you.
  12. Seems like the case has issues with purple color in some places more and the others, it's clearly visible in the pictures but I would be good to hear from owners about it. Regardless, I hope there will be newer version with those issues addressed if there is enough interest from potential buyers, but who knows, it's been quiet in regards of this model, maybe there is no interest in it... it would be a pity.
  13. I would get 005. I would not get 111 where you can see the movement. This 005 looks like the best Pam rep to get today period as far as accuracy and finish go.
  14. it's probably one of the best looking Pam's for sure. I want one!!!! But I'm going to wait for a better version, the purple crown would bug me too much.
  15. I have noticed that CG levers on H reps are very incorrect on all or most of their reps. I would only get N watches.
  16. From what I see in general Noob watches are more accurate, looks like they pay more attention to details.
  17. Thanks guys, that does make sense. Budget is not an issue, so I'm looking at a solution that will keep me happy long term as I do keep my watches and not resell them.
  18. I agree with that statement 100%, no one cares. I wear my 2005 Eddie Lee Pam 111 with only mods being crown and the crown guard. By today's reps standards it is super innacurate. Guess what, where I live I bump into people wearing Panerais almost every week. No one cares, no one ever called me out, many of them looked at the watch and there was never a glimpse of a doubt. I let people handle it purposely and no one had a doubt for even split second. So I think no one cares. Only those that are into reps like us, but I never run into anyone in person yet.
  19. I also noticed talk in another thread that you are part of. v1 and st 36 movement. I have to read about that movt
  20. Hi Projectologist, I never heard of st 36 movement. I just found this: http://www.helenarou.com/new-6497-st36-mechanical-manual-winding-mo649736.html Much cheaper then 6497 on ofrei. How good are those st 36? Thanks!!
  21. You are lucky, haha. Where I live in certain areas you can walk around and within an hour run into 3 or 4 people wearing Panerais. It's pretty insane.
  22. I see what you are saying Perry. I have looked at and downloaded quite many pics of a gen that were shot in many lighting conditions and I downloaded video that puretime has on his site. Looks like V2 is definitely a better choice, although not quite perfect, especially the lume color, it is still a cool Pvd. And I wanted base Pvd for a long time now. One thing I noticed on a gen is that some tips of the CG lever were different between watches which was weird, some were closer to the case then others
