I`m sorry. I didn`t make myself clear. I meant to say that writing positive reviews just to please a dealer might not be as lucrative in the long run as it might seem. If course I don`t think Pug would do that.
In the long run, nobody will really benefit from writing positive reviews one after the other in order to receive free watches. If Pug would do that (I know he wouldn`t) what would happen to his reputation on the board? He would lose our respect and therefor not be regarded as a good member by us hens not as a good "sales person" by watch dealers.
I don`t have a problem with that at all. I appreciate that you bring it up for discussion.
I could elaborate I guess, but for me it boils down to whether or not I trust your integrity. Needless to say, you have proven your integrity time and again on this board. Even as a newbie I know that.
I think it`s great that dealers give you watches to review. It means more high quality reviews and photos for the rest of us!
"That version is not accurate at all". Could you be a little more specific?
I was hoping to stay in this price range ($200-$300). Is there anything better out there for that price? I do of course realize that it`s not unusual to spend many times that price on modding this model to "perfection", but I`m first of all interested in a version as decent as possible at a price within my budget.
Drooling over several members pictures of this model the last few weeks I`ve come to realize that my life will never be complete until I add one to my collection. I`ve been trying to read up on all the 6263 threads in here and have to admit I`m more than a little confused by all the different movements and whatnots. Anyhow, can somebody point me in the right direction. Where should I look if I want a decent out-of-the-box 6263?
I `ve looked at Perfect Clones and their new and improved version. Is perhaps that the way to go?
Thanks in advance. I`ve learned so much in the few weeks I`ve been a member here.
Unlike Rolecs, I do like...actually prefer the Paul Newman Daytonas, especially white dial/black sub dials. Yeah, it`s all due to Freddy`s many great pictures:-) Any suggestions for who I should buy from?
Rumor has it that Sony invented VHS, but didn`t like the quality so they sold it to JVC. Betamax never mad it as a consumer format of course, but Betacam was the format of choice for most pros for decades.
Sure!
But seriously, even thought it`s nice to get the goods brought over from Norway every now and then they do sell it here in Nevada too. Possibly not in Alaska? Shoot me a PM if you can`t get it up there and perhaps we can arrange something.
Cool!
I still remember watching Magne Myrmo (On TV) winning the last XC World Cup ever on wooden skis in 1974.
As for myself, I`ve worn out a few pairs of Landsem and Bonna skis in my day. Speaking of Ski, I actually grew up 20 km from the town "Ski" in Norway:-)
As a Rollie guy first of all I have to admit the 112h is a beautiful watch! For me it is the simple design..the subtle curves that make it, yes...a sexy watch!
I gotta get me one of those soon.
